Hellooo everyone :) First of all Subho Bijoya to all my friends and followers :) How are you all?? I am fine :)
So here it is guys!!! The Full Journey Coverage from Kolkata to Siliguri onboard Shyamoli Paribahan's VOLVO B11R FULL SLEEPER..
Date of Journey - 9th October 2020
This bus is the latest addition to Shyamoli Paribahan's fleet.. Without any doubt Shyamoli is the uncrowned King of VOLVO Operators of Eastern India..It adds every latest product in the market to its fleet.. It has got all the varieties of VOLVO buses..For example - B7R, B8R, B11R, Seaters, Semi Sleepers, Full Sleepers, everything.. It also has SCANIA Metrolink in its fleet as well..Also it has the highest number of VOLVO buses in its fleet than any other operator..
Now we have seen lots of Sleeper buses built on VOLVO, SCANIA, MERCEDES BENZ, Bharat Benz chassis.. For example we have seen VOLVO 9400, SCANIA Metrolink Seater ones being converted into Sleeper ones in Western and Southern India specially which resulted in very congested interiors, less comfort, less visibility from the windows..
Then body builders like Prakash and MG came with dedicated VOLVO sleepers like Prakash VOLVO Celeste, VOLVO MG Starz etc.. These were simply superb sleeper buses..These were designed specially for sleeping arrangements so they had all the comfort, space, visibility :) But still they lacked one thing.. You know what?? The back rests.. In a long sleeper bus journey there will be sometimes, when you will like to sit and relax a bit..Who will like to lie down in the bed all the time?? But no Sleeper VOLVO had the back rests to give you comfort while you sit :(
Will you find comfort sitting straight leaning on the wall?? Not at all right??
So VEERA VAHANA, a body builder company, designed this amazing bus for all the comfort you need in a long journey :) Yes they added those luxurious back rests.. Now you feel comfortable both while sleeping and both while sitting :) So there is simply no doubt that this bus by VEERA VAHANA and VOLVO is the King of all Sleeper buses in India..
Shyamoli Paribahan added this bus to its fleet recently and we as die hard bus lovers couldn't resist ourselves from taking a journey aboard this most luxurious Volvo Sleeper bus in the country..
The bus was scheduled to start at 18:30 but it started late at 19:24..It was scheduled to reach Siliguri next morning 6:30 but it reached late at 14:05 at noon.. The bus took 18 hours 41 minutes to complete the 560 kilometres journey.. It was only due to the pathetic road condition and traffic jams..

Dada how can say Thank you. You took me away back in 1982 in my teenage time. That was my first and last visit to the township of Farakka. My family had contracts at N T P C Plant. My father and my relatives own a trucking company. My father stays 30 years at Farrakhan. He can speak fluent Bengali. Now I live in Vancouver Canada. My father is passed away. But Farakka and west Bengal always live with me. I watched your whole video. Really really enjoyed every second. At 01:30:00 when I saw Farakka tears come to my eyes because it was karma Bhoomi of my father. I remember all those cities Berhampur janggi Pur Dumka Pakur Kishan Ganj, Murshidabad Kalia chak because my father always writes letters from those cities. Dada whenever I come to India I wish to travel into Shyamoli through this route. By the way, your video is one of the best among bus vlogs. It turns into an educational vlog. A very welcome change. Add another bus with a toilet. Most beneficial for ladies travellers. Also give dinner . Passesgers would be most happy to pay extra for good and healthy food.

A very elaborate reflection of the journey. The information subtitles are very appropriate and excellent . Thought the beginning had scope of some better edit as first some minutes of heavy traffic and congestion tend to take the interest away. Overall 4 star and a thumbs up

Great coverage... However really saddened by the pathetic road (highway) infrastructure in WB, from the very beginning of this video. Current road-space was good enough to support traffic from 10 years ago. Highways are expanding all over India, but for WB. In the very starting itself we can see it took TWO HOURS to cover the distance between Esplanade & Rajchandrapur Toll gate. That's simply sad.

Yes absolutely right..Till Krishnanagar the road was horrible..was feeling extremely uneasy in that stretch..the reason is the stretch between barasat and Krishnanagar doesn't come under toll tax so no maintenance at all..just after crossing Krishnanagar the toll way starts and the road becomes smooth

I travel from Bengaluru to Belagavi in North karnataka. Believe me our bus covers 500 kms in 8 hours flat...
It leaves Majestic at 11 pm and reaches at 7 am. This is ridiculous. Most of the road here is single lane. 😒

Excellent Videography. Its a pity that it tool 18 hrs to cover a 600 km distance. With right kind of road for Volvo it would take max.9- 10 hrs.
Comfortable journey but time consuming..
Yes the bus was indeed extremely comfortable but the real comfort was when the roads were smooth..and due to the pathetic road infra it took such long time 😣
