As Bangladeshi we face the same border corruption. Yesterday I came back from India and I had to give 150 rupees in Indian customs to cross the border. That was the last 150 rupees that I had.
Really very sorry for this. Highlight this to senior officials next time you cross

One year ago, I had to give Indian custom police 200 rupees. This is the main problem of both customs
