will you visit Polska please?
him: I VISITED ITALY SO YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO (ROME)
also him: I implore every one of you to come and visit here at some point in your life

“Yes, I have finally arrived to this Capital of the World! I now see all the dreams of my youth coming to life… Only in Rome is it possible to understand Rome.”
~ Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
This happened so long ago. Recently, it has become a rubbish dump..a beautiful, ancient and precious one, however. I am roman myself and this situation makes me so angry. 😤
@@enricovecchioni4928 That's the case for every single Western capital... in this regard Rome isn't even doing that bad.
@@matteobertotti believe me, in the last 3 years the situation has become unbearable. Streets are full of rubbish, rats, wild boars. It is not a western capital anymore. Rome doesn't deserve all this.
@@enricovecchioni4928 Roma è così da mille anni a questa parte

Fun fact: One of the four river statues in Piazza Navona stares horridly at the church with his hands over his head. It is said that the architect of the fountain (the ever greatest Bernini) had a rivalry with the architect of the church of St. Agnese (Borromini), so his statue mocks the architecture of the church fearing its collapse at any moment
Again that legend!!! The fountain was completed in 1651 while the church was started in 1653… The Nile covering his head symbolizes a real fact: Nile's source was unknown at that time.
Rome and Italy overall is so packed with historical monuments that is basically impossible to have a walk and don't step into some historical findings.
Fun fact: in recent days because of the drought even more reperts are being found at the bottom of the Tiber river.
And europe is fullof countries with rich histories, ijust want tosay vienna is good too, but rome,i guess rome takes the cake. and florence.
as an Italian I'm really sad you didn't visit me.
I live in Australia, one day it is the dream of mine to drive from Portugal in the west to Tbilisi in the east - you are such big super Serbian gene man.
Please could I private message you?? ❤😁
But earlier in his videos he found out he's Bosnian lmao.
Why stop at Tbilisi? Drive to South Korea
Take a train, europe isnt as car centric as australia or america

I was in Rome some weeks ago, 6 days was barely enough to start getting a feeling for the city. Gotta say, I was lucky enough to find and attend a Latin Mass/Liturgy and it really gives a whole new dimension to the old churches, seeing exactly how and why every element in it has a purpose, and how much thought and effort went into every detail
I was an altar boy for the mass celebrated in Latin in Rome for 20 years. Where did you attend it? If it was a big edifice, probably you went to "Santa Trinità de' Pellegrini", close to the French embassy. Greetings.
@@unioneitaliana7107 yes, that's the one!
@@mrDjuroman that church is big, but looks like neglected.
Unfortunately the Tridentine Mass is not a common thing, also in Rome.
I met modern priests that looked me as an alien or looked me even in hostile way (sad!) when I told them that I attended as an altar boy at the Latin Mass.
May I ask where you're from? I'm curious. Greetings.
@@unioneitaliana7107 Croatia, it's not a very common thing here either, unfortunately
@@mrDjuroman I began to attend traditionalists when the media debated about the Lefebvre mouvement in the early 90ths. So I attended them for a while, but people there were completely crazy, nazis, fascists, and so on. I have been always a monarchist but never a fascist, so I chosed people more moderated. In the Pantheon of Rome ("Basilica Sanctae Mariae ad martyres") the Mass is celebrated in a traditional way (Latin chants, no communion in the hands, old vestments) and an important monarchist group uses to attend the mass there, becouse in that church's the kings of Italy are buried.
Greetings. Croatian people met in Rome were very friendly and nice, anyway.
I am not sure if you are still in the area, but if you want a not-so-secret but criminally overlooked gem to visit, check out Ostia Antica. It was basically ancient Rome's port and vacation town for the elite. You can get there with a standard ticket on the city metro (was 40 minutes from my hotel).
If you want to visit a mostly intact ancient Roman town that you have mostly to yourself, that's where you need to go. Whereas most ancient Roman ruins are set up for tourists, this place is an active archeological site that is tourist friendly. It's very easy to see the place as a livable town in its day.
Or... you know, just go to Anzio.
Which is a lot closer and far better artistically speaking.
Also it's criminally underguarded, seen load of tourists chip pieces of mosaiques or stuff to take as souvenirs. Which they ll have to throw at the border because otherwise they ll also experience our very pictoresque jails.
P. S Please don't do this, if you see someone doung this remind that those places are for all mankind's benefit
I liked one of the bakeries near the beach in Ostia haha. don't remember much about the ruins
Or go to Latina

18:02 In "The Expulsion from Paradise" by Michelangelo, he was having his little joke. It was the popular artist game of "sneaking hidden meaning into paintings that the priests won't understand". Here is my question: On the left, Eve is seated quite unnaturally. What was she doing just before turning her head to listen to the serpent?
Right.
Great vid man when ever I see your vids it makes my day the comedy is what I wish more RUclips had keep it up my Bosnian friend
As an Italian, I am really grateful and happy you did Rome some justice. Not only did you make a very well done video that lasts up to twenty minutes, but it is also worth noting that this place is absolutely an burning hell in the summer. You went through the trouble of documenting and collecting information all over the place like you did in your previous videos, but here it must have been especially demanding for you. Keep doing what you're doing man, we all love your work.
And a lotof tourists make it , i mean rome deserve tourits buta loot tourists.
i'm proud to be italian🇮🇹
Oh damn, hope you enjoy it there in 🇮🇹
This was fun to watch, and I adore the fact that you used tifa for the thumbnail, it took me two seconds to realize
I live in Rome, and I ended up really enjoying this video of the city I’m currently living at.

I could make a list of his mispronunciations. But I don't think it's so important for a non-native (and probably non-speaker at all) to pronounce everything perfectly. Still, saying that is simply not true.
I have been to Italy twice total,of 4 weeks. I loved it and every one I have talked to agree. So much to see, nice people. Great food. Good weather.
Finally Italy! Im glad you enjoyed your trip in my country man
im from south america and now living in canada and ive been to italy many times because , italy and japan are my favourite countries in the world, and i been to most because of my job. i describe italy as a living musuem , one word to describe it as beautiful , aside from politics its a paradise on earth with its majestic moutains of the dolomites to their wonderful food , and their beautiful cities. i also i got to say their underrated music is a pleasure to listen to much more beautiful than the english ones.
As an italian, this Is probably One of the best guides/introductions to Rome i have had the pleasure of watching, telling me of some things i myself didn't know about our beloved capital.
Its Always interesting how much One can learn about where they live simply by listening to foreigners.
Great video!
Only Italians can know why theres Tifa in the thumbnail
Great Video as always, your content is amazing! I've learned so much from your videos, thank you. Congratulations again on reaching 100,000 subscribers.

You visited my city while I was in quarantine damn
By the way thanks for talking in a good way about Rome, usually turists just point out all the bad sides of it
I'm a proud European, Lombard and Italian. 🇪🇺🏴🇮🇹
As an italian myself all I wanted to say is: despite our country's politics are like the Balkans but broke :'D were still a good place to enjoy the summer
(And the art during the Renaissance looks like a reproduction of hentai in Europe)
>implying that the Balkans are not broke
Lol
yeah Renaissance art in past time is the Ero doujinshi of Europe style, but rarely showing sex scene and focused more to religion matters
now Japan is already living in Renaissance era for more than 100 years from Meiji era of Japanese Empire until Reiwa era today, with reproduction (of course) anime, manga, J-pop, Japanese games, light novels, and of course both ero doujinshi book and eroge (erotic game)
i wonder when Europe today will created the Renaissance era again? i mean Westerner art today is suck and ugly af.... Westerner really need good art like Japan have
Thank you for showing my city as beautiful as it is.

I love how you actually put Tifa in the thumbnail as a reference to the hack around last 6 months ago, good one.
I think that was actually a stunt by an M5S member.

Nice video and I love your videos
Thanks!
Thank you!!
I wished you mentioned the way Romans Invended natural air conditioning.
I went to the arena on a cruise and our tour guide explained that in the interior. There were massive elevator looking shafts that would push cold air up from under ground from the wind blowing through the arches. If this didn't exist it would be like a sweaty sauna way hotter than outside.
I didn't realize how nice it was inside until we left and realized we just left wal mart. It wasn't that crowded when I went. So I must of lucked out. The only people there was others from our ship.
I mean they are kknown for steambaths, i guess it makessense they know aboutte opposite.
LOL polish alphabet kills me even tho im polish. Good video! Good videos in general!

It actually takes forever to visit every historical site in Rome
Stillnot been ever at the tmple at the little mountain.
Now what does Tifa from FF7 Remake has to do with Italy. Well a historical event occurred and you are just going to have to research it
Like Caesar, Tifa got "stabbed" in the Roman Senate
Because Tifa is Italian inspired.
Thanks to my friend (and your new recent editor oleg) i enjoy these videos. Not really a fan of history and this type of content (besides Ozbiljne teme lol) i found some pretty interesting stuff to watch here :D
I love the amount of hungarian references in ur vids.
I lived in a city between the one where the first teen romance took place and the one with all the canals, aka the one with the military base. Being 300 km from Ljubljana in 1991 gave me my first real insight into why the Balkans were fraught to put it mildly. That time in history made me interested in history, geography and geopolitics for life. Thank you for this funny yet awesome vid.
I live in Rome and seeing the places I see every day and know perfectly, is very funny.

"Italy can't win a war"!. Leaving the Roman era (where them conquered all) since the Italian unify Italy fought 24 wars, winning 22 of them and losing only 2. A 92% war victory score, probably the worlds highest (and it will increase if we put the Roman era).

I was in italy on a class Trip many years ago. I liked it but as I was not too culturally interested back in the day, Rome gave me nothing and I used to say „pfff, if I want to see some broken buildings, I can also go to Brandenburg“
