Oh wow, I played the demo of Garden Witch Life a few months ago and assumed it was so rough because the developers had released an older more-limited version of the game for the gaming festival at the time. It looks exactly the same, with all the same problems I had when I played it -- mismatched doors and assets, confusing character intros (couldn't find the library/tree thing with the invisible forming-bridge until I looked in the forums) and general economy problems

Hopefully they patch it up and can be fun for you. I bought Everdream Valley without researching and I wish I had, I don’t really like it. I wish you could demo switch games, sort of like how Steam lets you refund games with less than 2hours within a week.

I had this game wishlisted because I enjoyed the demo, but I expected the full game to fix some of the issues you mentioned and expand on the characters and story. Really disappointed to see they didn't change a thing.
I was actually enjoying the game at first, for me it plays like a mindless game while watching tv etc. But I did get frustrated when I couldn’t find the raised bed recipe and at the time no one knew what to do. I have refunded the game, maybe I’ll try again at a later time when it gets updated.
@@olliiana W ell yeah, I know that now. I started playing day one, and at that time there was no other guide / source for me to figure it out. Much like how Josh mentions he didn’t know either and kept passing through days / trying to find new quests and he happened to talk w/ the NPC who sold the recipe. I also went through multiple days exploring finding chests, and just happened to not think about talking w/ NPCs. That’s where I think this game will do better with giving just little more direction than it does, in most other games the NPC who gives you a quest will likely tell you “oh you can find said recipe w/ so and so.” I wouldn’t say it’s a bad game, it just doesn’t feel fully finished at some point which can be frustrating since it’s being labeled as such. Once there are a few updates (hopefully) then I wouldn’t mind purchasing again and giving it a better shot. But right now, I did not feel like price tag was worth it. Ofc that’s just my opinion, to each their own.
It might seem nitpicky but I think it's important to point out these small details, as players go through the game they will notice those small details and if you constantly encounter something like that then it will constantly influence enjoyment of the game
