- Heavy rainfall and flash flooding across the islands left several homes on Maui with extensive damage on Monday and Tuesday. Entire homes and properties were gone in minutes. For the Alexander family, they say they lost everything.
Very sad. Haiku is one of the best most beautiful places on earth. I hope nothing but the best for this family. 🙏
i guess im asking the wrong place but does someone know a method to log back into an Instagram account??
I somehow forgot the account password. I love any tips you can give me!
@Milo Mathew instablaster :)
@Ryan Winston thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now.
Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
@Ryan Winston it did the trick and I actually got access to my account again. I am so happy:D
Thank you so much, you saved my ass!
@Milo Mathew No problem =)
You can tell he’s a good dude... shame that happened.
Praying for them, and all of their neighbors!
Flood insurance - in Hawaii you have to pay each year all at once and it is totally 100% separate from homeowners insurance and it is a national/federal agency thing.
And you have the option to decline it. It's a crapshoot. Sometimes it comes back to bite you.
Can you link the go fund me link here in the description?
Sending love to you all from australia ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I’m praying for this family and the others who have lost so much.
What is this ohana's gofundme link?
Thank God they are alive and safe, and I'm glad their dog was saved too!
If you live in Hawai’i and we’re flooded out, use TSP (trisodium phosphate) powder to inhibit mold growth on every surface. Ace Hardware sells it. Mold is a killer and this may save a life!
As long as his family is okay.
I'm so sorry about this. Bless your Ohana
I feel sorry for the people, but this property is now a flood plane area. What ever you rebuild should float or built on stilts. Mother nature rules.
float!? the fuck!?
@@jamesm2889 pontoon house boat. or float away.
He knew it was a flood plain area. He probably declined to get flood insurance. It was probably too expensive. That's why he probably paid a low amount for his property. People take chances and sometimes they lose.
Omg my heart goes out to this family
Isn’t it so ironic that an insurance agent knowing where you live ...
will leave you uncovered And uninsured.
Many times the Insurance Company doesn't provide flood insurance. I owned a rental home in L.A. once and Allstate told me they no longer insured rental homes with earthquake insurance which is a separate rider. I had to find another Insurer.
Corporations have a stranglehold on Hawaii. The politicians there are enablers.
Socialism is when the fíre dept. Fights your house fíre.
Capitalism is when the insurance company refuses your claim.
He was probably sent optional flood insurance coverage and declined to add it to his policy. It isn't the insurance company's fault.
@@katherinebryan9921 It's totally the insurance company's fault and they should be named and outed.
Hopefully FEMA can get some assistance to these families quickly.
Yeh right
The new Infrastructure Bill will have some impact on expediting relief to families experiencing dire hardship because of climate change and weather related disasters.
Our prayers and thoughts are with the Alexander Family. Glad you are all safe. From South Africa
So sorry for your family’s loss as well as others affected by the floods 🥺🌈
God bless that family. If i was a rich man id buy them a brand new home. So sad.
I thought hitmen made a lot.
@@livedeliciously video game hitmen nahhh 😂😂

We are available to help clean up.
Praying for them 🙏
In Indonesia there are tens of thousands affected by floods many times each year, but the reas affected are getting bigger & being affected more often.
They just try to elevate what can't be washed, eg. Electrical & Food.
**OBVIOUSLY A BAD PLACE FOR A HOUSE!!!**
**I LOVE MAUI!!!**
**POOR ShOULD THAT LOST SO MUCH!!!**
I am so sorry but thankful that this family & their dog are safe & alive
God bless the Alexander Family
Gofund me link?
No one mentioned all the animals that have perished- just like the last lava flow- endless hodge chained to trees, rooster “farms” etc
Sending prayers to all
Unfortunately, you have to have a flood policy
Aloha. We were married in 98 on Maui. Been many times. I’ve shared this on my Facebook here in SoCal.
If someone could share the Gofundme link that would be great. Mahalo nui.
tears...so sorry...blessings
God's speed too all🙏
HEAVY FLOODING DESTROYED HOMES, PROPERTIES. THANKS GOD THESE FAMILY SAFE.
God bless the people in Maui...pray pray pray!
Our only Refuge and Hope is in the Son of God. He spoke Truth Forever. Please Forgive, and Pray for everyone...
O my gosh dear heaven help them 🥺
This may sounds cliche but God is going to make a way out of no way. He said behold I will do a new thing. All hope is not lost. If there is life there is hope.
May God restore to this family seven folds of all that has been lost. The devil did not win over Job, he was defeated but Job was faithful unto God. This man has faith that he will make it. He will in Jesus name. God is going to show Himself strong in his situation. Do it for them Holy Spirit 🙏
God Bless you all!
Living near a river should have required flood insurance. It may look placid 99% of the time, they are in essence culverts. If your home is within 200 feet of it this might happen to you. Maui for decades has had pretty lax building code when it comes to flood risk. Really truth be told an island that could be hit by hurricanes needs to mandate flood insurance. FEMA has been crippled and doesn’t really work with local and state agencies to reduce risks like this.
It shouldn’t happen to anyone.
Prayers from kihei
That’s So Scary Stay Safe Everyone In Hawaii
From This Rain 🌧 Storm And Floods
Insurance companies laugh at this... all the way to the bank with our hard earned premiums... and the fact the feds made it a law about flood insurance being fully separate policy shows you whos side they are on
The homeowner is responsible to carry flood insurance. He knew it flooded there.
In California it is ILLEGAL to build in a FLOOD Plain.
Oh my GOD...this. reads my heart for this family.
Where is the link to gofund me for this family, please
God's grace and mercy 🙏
Sending prayers and love❤🙏
Oi. Prayers to the ohana of whom lost their homes.
Omg insurance!!! Unbelievable.
This is so sad
Heartbreaking
That is why we love living to waterfront and down stream.
ok? did we ask
I really hate to see someones hard work be destroyed like this. Depending on how you look at it, lenders only require flood insurance in high risk flood areas. This area was probably not one of those high risk areas. I complain about having to pay hurricane insurance because kona hasn't had a hurricane but weather is changing and every year the hurricanes come closer and closer. If you live in low lying area or an area that has a small stream, you might want to reconsider buying flood insurance.
I have to decline optional earthquake insurance here in Calif. He probably declined flood insurance there in Maui and now he's regretting that he did.
Sorry, be safe. Praying for sll.
flood insurance in a flood zone?
As global warming progresses and the polar ice caps and glaciers continue to melt, we will see more and more of this flooding throughout the islands and throughout the world. Be prepared, get prepared and remain prepared and vigilant!!! Mercy and prayers to all affected.
His spirit does not surprise me. I went out there three years ago and the people who are from there have THE BEST vibes ive been around when traveling. That insurance shit doesn’t surprise me either. This world is greedy and cold
broke heart here bruh
your strong
you got this
Insurance companies need to be called out for their lies. Why call it homeowner insurance? Its homeowner fraud .
Insurance is BS what’s the point of paying them they don’t cover anything they just trying to figure out how not to help you
It's unfortunate that most homeowner policies don't have flood insurance in them. It's only covered like if the washing machine or indoor plumbing overflows. For any kind of other flood, you have to pay extra for that insurance and it comes from a specific company. One of the best things you can do is make sure any property you buy has less than a 3/10 flood chance on flood maps.
Where is the link, how can we help
Stay strong...it will pass...take care..
im confused isn't the house still there and hasn't the water receded ?
Hawaii exaggerates everything
Well maybe a floor should run through your house n see how u feel @$$👌
Flood*
@@pomoney34 I was just wondering if it was still salvageable or inhabitable in the future tough guy
It can be habitable again, but not until after all of the mud is cleaned out and the walls dried out. That requires a lot of physical effort, time and money.
What comes around goes around.... I wasn't treated very well by locals when I was there so know sympathy from me....
These insurance companies should be made to PAY, NO Excuses.
There goes the real estate
God bless you all, Alexander ohana
SPEECHLESS 😶
El humano tiene que volver atras y ayudarse unos a otros no esperar de los gobiernos ser hermanos mundiales. Bendiciones
Who lives in an area SURROUNDED by water and doesn't have flood insurance? C'mon man..........
I used to own a house I don't own one no more I don't even own a car I don't want one these insurance companies want you to get insurance and then they don't want to pay out and there should be a law against that and with these floodings it's going if it's not going to happen there it's going to happen somewhere else it's a cycle that's the way it is I'm from California but I live in Iowa now I went from the fires earthquakes and floods there now I live in Iowa where it rains a lot things do flood not that bad but we have to tornadoes sometimes not too close to this town and then we got the snow I've been here for over 20 years I've also lived in Oregon with a lot of snow and a lot of rain so if it's just not going to happen it's going to happen anywhere it's just unfortunately it happened in Hawaii I'm praying for these people they don't deserve that but they better be prepared for the next one to come along cuz it's going to happen we can't stop it it's going to have to build better houses
I meant to say we need that rainfall 2 come 2 CA. we are in a severe drought
Aren’t you getting any rain yet?
@@jfranklin9549 yes we are gettin rain bt very little nothing like Hawaii tho
The worst part, is that this flood is happening during the COVID pandemic. Resources in the mainland United States are stretched thin. Hopefully, FEMA will be able to help these Hawaiians.
WOW, just terrible
The law of having to pay homeowners insurance should be eliminated they don’t pay do the tragedy’s they take your money then they are no ware to be found they make billions then screw you states should hold them accountable but they don’t take action
Can't find their GoFundMe
This is why we can't have nice things.
nature always wins
Someone should set up a fund page for them. If I knew how I would
Sue the insurance company
Sue the insurance company, those crooks. He paid his premiums now time to dish out.
Insurance is a freaking scam. Everything paid for home insurance should accessible for when its needed (based off what the individual has put in). Covered or not. Its your damn money. Playing off peoples fear of the unknown but then having the stones to tell you what they will or won't let you do with what you've contributed.
Don’t you HATE insurance companies!?
Does anyone have that GoFundme link?
🙏
Poor legend ... Brahhh da pit gone...
That rain needs 2 come 2 California cuz we are in need of a severe drought
