This was an awesome demonstration. If I had't experienced this technology myself, it would still be hard for me to believe that this feature really works.
1:43 was a weird choice, I think; I definitely came to this video more interested in the braking system than reactions. I would have expected to see a farther out view of what the car looks like as it's coming to a stop (like what you put after the car has actually braked in the video) or perhaps something inside but front-viewing.
Please note in the video 1:42 as the driver lifts his foot off the gas pedal in anticipation of hitting the object in front of him. This does not truly represent this feature.
Seeing is believing. This is technology at it's best when it can prevent tragedy. The sooner they add this to all cars, the better. Will trucks have it?
The system should only warn the driver, not stop the car by itself. Imagine someone willing to harm you steps in front of your car in order to stop it.
Um, guys, wouldn't it have been better to actually show the car stopping? Instead we are shown the passenger's reaction to it stopping. The fancy cinematic editing defeats the whole purpose of the video.

Good analogy that helped me better understand the technology!

Does AEB work if your foot on the pedal

You can override the system and turn it off quite easily
