This was the best song I ever played while I was in high school concert band. We almost didn't play it because of how difficult it was, but we managed to do it in the end, and that's very important not because it was my last band concert for senior year but also because of how Harry Potter was one of my favorites growing up so to not play it would've been devastating for me personally. Not only that, but I invited a girl I had feelings for to come to that show, and it was amazing to have her there and hear us play that song.
As a Harry Potter fan, I’m disappointed that it doesn’t have anything from Order of the Phoenix, my favorite score from the series. As a horn player, I would love for my band to play this.
I think this recording is a little bit strange. For me it sounds as if the whole band sits in a small room, where the music has not enough space to come out...
The recording also didn’t sound all that professional either. People out of time (especially when they randomly sped up in “Harry in Winter”), some parts not playing with one another, etc.
What's to stop someone copying out the whole score from this video and performing it? Doesn't putting it online for free invalidate any copyright as it's their property?
Honestly, since Hal Leonard and many other publishing companies do it, I like it like this because if I were to order music for my ensembles, I can see the score. And seeing these on my 77inch screen while taking [written/director's] notes is pretty enjoyable. I'm also a nerd when it comes to score studying.
This arrangement perfectly illustrates everything wrong with the Harry Potter score post third movie. The last five films are so uninspired in their music much like this arrangement by and large

Ahah horn players out here looking at songs
- a random horn player
It does. Harry in winter,
we play this and its great
4:35
yea me too!!
Fakes was a bit too fast
Sad there isn't anything from Prisoner of Azkaban. I love this arrangement tho as a euphonium player.
The version of dumbledores farewell is a real tear jerker
RIP my fellow alto saxes during Weasley Stomp at 7:33
The sax part is so fast 😭
it looks so much fun haha
😂🤣😂what a nightmare that was!
Weasley Stomp is the best part of the arrangement ... hear it endless-looping
lol its actually not as hard as you think.
I would love to play this, other than the fact that the trombone part looks very simple. Sounds great though!
It’s not bad, pretty easy but there is a lot of rest. The rest is what makes it a little boring to play as a trombone player
I say this because I am playing it in band right now

10:45 Bari sax will by the end of that note
The picc player doing Gbs (not Gs) in bar 125 kills it. It's sooooo obviously a bung note.
I interpreted the alto sax solo part quite differently. I just love the way it is played here.
this is is amazing 8/10 would be a 10/10 if it had an alto clarinet(yes there is a world part but it doubles tenor which is bull)
Ik someone who can make you one if you’d like, customized for to this piece
Alright which one are you here for, Quidditch or Weasley stmop?
quidditchhh obviously
2:31
Maybe I just missed it, but I wish they would have added “Courtyard Apocalypse”
What scene was that from?
8:57
I love that part
nice! im a hufflepuff. and i would love to play this on the mallets for my band. btw... do i hear chimes as well??
Yes there is bells, vibraphone, and chimes :)
At 4:20 holyyyyy 😭😭🥺that chord tho
I am playing this and love the arrangement but as a trombone player I wish the trombones did not have so much rest
3:22 sounds so weird for me..💀
Where did the original works gone

Relax
@@maxmodine7551 I'm more asking so that if I wanted to do such a thing would I get away with it? :P

If you are willing to screen shot each page, have it enlarged, write out every part, and have it printed, you earned the right to perform it🤷🏿♂️
Where the Hell is Prisoner of Azkaban?
Off all of these, I find "Harry in Winter" very sad
Nice arrangement but I would have never allowed that recording to go online. Band is not in tune nor balanced.
daniel radcliffe is gigachad
I have watched the movies but never read the 📚 ❤❤
I've only gotten halfway through the books. They're great to read, but they require you to have enough time to read them.
as a baritone sax player, I'm kind of disappointed due to the lack of bits to play.

Really unimaginative arrangement, pretty ineffective orchestration, and isn’t Harry Potter kinda played?
Dang, sounds like someone was in a bad mood lol
No
My mans for real gave tenor no cool parts. Smh my head
