Yay I love vlogs like this so much! 😍 I’ve also been doing booktube and Patreon full time for a few years now and it’s so interesting to see how other creators plan and schedule their days!! It’s really inspiring and motivates me too 🥰
When BookTubers say they don’t post something or can’t do ideas for their main channel because it’s not their brand, a viewer/their fan cries 😂 love all your videos! The only thing I don’t watch from pretty much every single BookTuber is negative themed videos like “books I hated or worst books” etc just because I don’t like going into books with negative thoughts swaying me because they will lol cause I can’t unhear the thoughts that make sense but maybe I want to just enjoy haha. Other than that I love vlogs and TBRs the most!

Such a wealth of information! Something that really struck home for me was when you were talking about 30% of your reading coming from books you don’t mention on your channel.
As someone who reads across nearly every genre, one of my obstacles with starting a channel is finding a niche but this solves that problem so easily! I can still read the book genres I love that maybe don’t need to be included AND it balances work and hobby ♥️ so obvious but hearing you say it made it click!

Wow 10 years! Time flies I found booktube december 2013 and the fact that I’m still here watching is wild. Also you being one of the first booktubers I watched and one of the few I still consistently watch all these years later is crazy. So many of the older booktubers either stopped uploading or my taste in books and content has totally changed from them but not with you. I literally feel like I grew up with you, i’m 26 now (AHHHHH!!!!) Still remember that Christmas book haul that was the first video of yours that I watched.
Omg i love watching Gavins travel vlogs. He literally cracks me up when he stays in the spooky places and reads lol. Those are my favorite. Im sooooooo happy you're planning on doing that 🤗🩷

I’m in south TX, so maybe the King Ranch. Check out a working ranch and read cowboy romances. We also have the beach (Port Aransas down to South Padre Island), there’s the botanical garden plus the wetlands and a preserve (you can see gators there). The Selena monument (kinda disappointing really, but it’s in a pretty area) and do a vlog on famous people (Daisy Jones, When in Rome, etc).
As an extremely nosy person I really loved this! 💕

45:26 I didn't realize this was a thing people didn't like! As a person who gets a teeny bit annoyed (really it's just a little bit, I don't usually mind) when booktubers give an incorrect synopsis for a book on their tbr that I've read, I always just wish they'd read the back of the book 😂

Yeyy long vlogs
One thing that wasn't mentioned here but is one of my main concerns and is potentially holding me back from joining booktube is privacy concerns. Like for example, if I wanted to film a vlog where I got to the library and then go to a used bookstore and then vlog in my car afterwards, how would I go about filming that without giving away my location and the place I live. I'm also scared that if I wore a top that was in one of my videos and then went out in public in said top I'd get recognized. What would be a good way to go about this? I'm personally asking you because the only thing I know about where you live is the state itself lol

As a dude, you are correct on why I'm here, your horror and fantasy reqs are spot on, and you've also pointed me towards a few sci-fi and historical fiction books. For what It's worth, seems to me that most booktubers are female, or at least the good ones.

This video was so much fun! I wish I could be a BookTuber as a side gig but A- I am soooo nervous about how I’ll be perceived and how people comment etc and B- my job is pretty demanding and it’s 50-60 hours most weeks.
I've found that people are actually supportive and kind. Though I do sympathize with the work load being an obstacle. Maybe just do what you can, when you can, and see how it goes. 😊
*though I am very small .. I know with greater numbers come more possible negativity .. but if they aut of line there is always "block" 😆
