I'm Molly, a typical sushi, makeup, and fashion loving millennial girl who just so happens to be blind! I was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa at just 4 years old and began public speaking at age 5. I started just doing motivational speaking, but now I make videos and even model! Even though I can’t see, I know that there are bright spots in everything we face. Let’s find them together. 💕
I’m near crying from the accessibility features on those kayaks, I never realized I could be able to kayak for longer than a half an hour due to balance and strength
Whenever I see videos of people enjoying my city and especially the mountains It often makes me think I take where I live for granted because I've been here for all 25 years of my life but the mountains have been and always will be my happy place! I love them so much I even have a tattoo of them on the back of my neck

So so blessed to live 1.5 hours away from Banff and an hour away from Canmore in Calgary, it’s a beautiful and surreal place!! ❤️ It’s really cool seeing you visit the city I live in!

The restaurant foods looked absolutely incomparable. I'm afraid to ask what they could do for a long slow breakfast.
By all means, yes. More Canada, but Elton MUST be there with you. I had no idea he was such a small dog. (Yes, to me seventy pounds is just pocket sized.)
The very first restaurant is only open for supper and is always busy.
WOW! Those canoe adaptations are amazing. I need to work out where I can find something similar in London! And how proud was I when I spotted you in the opening ceremony of the Paralympic’s!
Wow, what an amazing trip! I’m so glad that you made this video. As a primarily homebound person, I deeply miss being able to travel, try new things, and enjoy wonderful restaurants. Seeing you enjoying all of these activities made me a bit emotional. Sad for my limitations. But excited to see accessible activities for all types of people.

Absolutely awesome! Back in 1989, I took my younger daughter to the college she was going to attend in Canada. Being from large US cities, we were accustomed to things in public not looking great...(vandalism, graffiti, litter, etc.) and we were really wowed by how CLEAN it was in Calgary! No graffiti, no litter, no discarded gum on the sidewalks...given that it's a sizeable city, with big-city vibes, we were truly impressed.
I totally get this! I honestly have a hard time travelling anywhere else because of how clean it is, it's one of the first things I notice whenever I go on vacation. I think it has a lot to do with how taking care of the environment is drilled into us going through school like the leave no trace program and often doing things like cleaning up the environment and such in school, how things like garbages are accessible and easy to find (which also means that we harshly judge anyone who opts to litter pretty harshly because there is no good excuse for it), and also not only valuing art in our province, but having so many spaces and outlets for those to practice it, including graffiti art!
Unfortunately due to an abundance of people moving here over the past few years (so many that our poor cities like Calgary cannot keep up), issues with homelessness and and increase in drug use, abuse, and crime, it has gotten a bit worse. Even Canmore (which is where I grew up) has seen an increase in crime and isn't quite as safe as it once was, and some people unfortunately don't respect the outdoors as they should which has led to an increase in litter along trails and hiking paths, or just in the forests in general which is pretty disappointing. But it is still very nice compared to a lot of places in the world and I am still incredibly happy to live here and be able to call this place my home!
I live in Calgary! This was so fun to watch! A good reminder to be a tourist in my home city!

Im from ontario and visited banff just two months ago. I think about it every day, i wish i was still there. Such a beautiful place, just breathetaking and so serene. Everyone should go there at least once if they have the opportunity.

I love those grip strengths on the paddles! Over the past few years, I've noticed weak grip strength, so something like that would really help me if I were to ever kayak or go boating.

Banff was already on my list of places I'd love to go to, and it just jumped up a few spots! I LOVE that Eden has vegan options! It's not often you see restaurants have vegan food that's not just a salad, pasta primavera, or a beyond/impossible burger! Definitely will go there whenever I get to Banff!
I so agree with you. Most "vegetarian" options are totally bland and lacking in imagination!

The accessibility of the Kayaking was incredible and amazing. It's so frustrating that things like this aren't more common because this sort of thing can be so helpful for so so many different people. Is it universal design? These things should be everywhere!

Her Parents usually take care of him, or just her Dad will watch him when her Mom goes with her and sometimes her Boyfriend will keep him if he doesn't go with her and/or her and her Mom.

Aww this makes me so happy. Im from southern alberta and i feel like albertans have a pretty bad reputation. It feels good to have positive representation.
Moly, I am from Calgary, Alberta. Although your review was great, bear in mind that most of the people in here can not afford what you have experienced. Most people have to cut down on groceries, never mind anything else. I was a business owner and have noticed that since Alberta and Calgary started to grow, the standard of living decreased.
When areas grow, it typically promotes economic growth and enriches the community, not the other way around... Sounds like you have more of a Government problem, whether it's bad economic policy, wasteful and/or over spending, or too much bureaucracy that's getting in the way and restricting entrepreneurship and economic opportunities. Or maybe a combination of any or all of these...

@@sashabenoit1518 Unfortunately it is a multitude of things... Government is a huge part of it. It's a problem when it's arguably almost cheaper to eat out every night then to get groceries for a week, gas is crazy expensive for us when we literally are known for our oil and gas industry, and rent and housing costs are through the roof right now.
Unfortunately this is a Canada wide issue :/
