Fun fact I just learned about Wisconsin is that they are the largest manufacturers of brick and so thus castles were common architecture when the founding cities were created. Milwaukee is called the “cream city” because of its unique production of cream colored bricks.
Charlie and his cheese castle tale, Miles with Charlie's 30-min driving journey, Levi and his confession aiyaiyai😅🤣 Happy new year to you Charlie and Miles, and to all listeners here.
Originally Midwest here and now I'm in the deep south for nearly 30 years. A perfect example of Southern Hospitality melding with Midwest Nice: Hurricane Milton tore our neighborhood up. A storm-generated tornado went through and hit the neighbors in back of us AND in front of us but somehow completely missed our house. When we came back everyone was without power but us (although the flooding crumpled our AC vents under the house...$1100!!). Carports were flattened, roofs were tore off like sardine cans, flood waters destroyed houses with lower foundations. Our neighbors behind lost the entire east wall of their house. We were so lucky compared to our neighbors. We set up coffee every morning with charging stations, let everyone use our showers/laundry, had a some people sleeping in the living room for a couple weeks until they could get their own houses together, and pooled together whatever foods we all had to make big community meals. And luckily, one of my neighbors had a kegerator that was unharmed. He brought that over, plugged it in and gave out free beer. Everyone helped out with each other's houses. Others kept neighborhood night watch while the area's power was out. Whatever neighborhood pettiness is going on prior to the storm is always instantly squashed; we all pull together when the SHTF. Being Florida, it's always hitting the fan. I don't know if it's the same all over the south but I know from experience that this is what we do here. I personally think it's because there are so many Midwesterners that move to Florida and combine the nice with the gracious. Crazy Florida Woman or not, I'm Midwest first. It's absolutely fine to joke and tease but it's also important to be kind out there everyone! We're all one human family.💜
Oh my, those ARE squeaky curds! What a confession. Also love a man who will confess that, even if it is fifteen years later, rather than still deny it when everyone knows what Happened. Tho to be fair, he only got sick enough to crap his undies cuz he was being too nice and are the bad burger. Sounds like a solid dude. And on the port-a-popup, what if you spray insulate the outside and then put wood panel "siding" on the outside of that? So classy and you lose don't lose the "interior art“ or any square inches of space inside. 😂 As a midwesterner living in the south for a long while, that is definitely similar, but Charlie has a good point, it is a bit hotter for a lot longer in GA/AL than Up Nort, but they do get hot humid AND frozen enough to ice fish with no calling off work or school. So, the midwest nice just wins in the diversity of hospitality, cuz it's an all seasons skills/etc. I do often wonder how nice some of my southern neighbors would be if they had to endure a Midwest winter. They'd likely get a short and to the point as Boston folks 😂
I'm sorry to do this. But I'm just so freakin happy, let me have this one: BEARS WIN! BEARS WIN! BEARS BEAT THE PACKERS AT LAMBEU!! Caleb is undefeated at Lambeu!!!
A highschool friend of mine, who was dating a young man from a very posh family, was being introduced to his stately grandmother. Unfortunately my friend had just unknowingly landed a stomach bug. And at the hight of dinner, had to withdrrrraw herself into the bathroom, which was situated right across the hall from the dining area. After her intestines had produced a loud ground shaking explosion, she staggered out, all colour drained from her face, and fainted!! Did not affect their relationship tho🤣🤣

I appreciate the voicemail number has a Minnesota area code over a Wisconsin one. Cheers! 🤠

Bears fan here. This year especially, Charlie’s description is accurate. Not a great year to be a Bears fan.
I can totally relate!!!! 😂😂😂
As a Bears fan my favorite part of every season is watching the packers lose in the playoffs
As opposed to the bears not even making the playoffs
Waddupdoe! I don’t care about sports but I do live in Detroit and I have a lot of paper bags… lemme know Chicagoans, I got you.
