For the counter rotation, I guess we can take apart a dual rotor toy and see how it is done. It has a double shaft, one is thin and the other is hollow and one runs inside the other. The counter-rotation of one of them is made by a counter gear, like the one in a car transmission. The inner shaft is longer and attaches to the upper rotor, while the hollow shaft is shorter and attaches to the lower rotor. The rotor blades' angle must be made so both rotors blow air in the same direction (downwards) while rotating in opposite directions. Seriously, take apart an RC Toy helicopter with double rotor and you will see how it is made and then scale up.
He is a real flying hero. Top Mecanic, he has motorised Hangglidersand well flown them in the 80s. He fhas flown powerd paragliders and Gyrocopters as well.... He is a Austrian flying legend.
its a 150cc 2 stroke mounted in a layed sown fashion, the only thing would be to figure out how to get it to counter rotate......because it is counter rotating.....here is a link for a more detailed video......contact me with any questions
that is nice!.. and hopefully, the pilot does not happily raise his hands ending up with undesirable events.. or.. crashes into someone and divides them by a factor of 2. ;)
Obracia tvrdenia o náročnosti lietania naruby. Jednoduché a minimálne rozpätie. Dôležitý je výkonný a spoľahlivý motor. v jednoduchosti tohoto je krása.
The US navy used rc coaxial type chopers since the 50's, they can carry as much as 400kg cargo, very powerful, but the coaxial concept is invention/pattent of Russian Kamov,
Cool invention but somehow I don't see this particular machine being practical because 1.) Engine noise is too loud, too close to the pilot head and ears! 2.) There isn't some degree of safety like a cage, canopy or something to prevent your arms, hands from reaching up into the rotor blades then causing the pilot to crash, bleed to death or get beheaded (if the helicopter flip around due to strong winds, up\down drafts or pilot error), death from above!
No reason it can't autorotate - dual-rotor helis are fully capable of autorotation - and as you can see at the end, the blades continue turning after the engine is shut off.
@NewbeFeaster Yes. I choose to live. That's "better". I have flown many different types of choppers, Robinson R22, R44, Hughes 300. All are able to autorotate. This death trap isn't. Usable autorotation is a REQUIREMENT for a helicopter. Not to have it is like flying an airplane whose wings fall off when the engine quits. Imagine flying is something like that! Never, never, ever would I go up in that.
The government probably won't even allow the sale of one or even the blue prints for it! i.e...design & build@ your own risk, even then, still suicide shouldn't be an option!😆...

Freaking beautifull, I didn't know some one actually made it take off

Autorotation doesn't work unless you have pitch controllable blades. These blades are fixed. Up and down controllabe only by throttle.

Nice hat.
this machine will spark the race to invent the world's first turbine proof helmet and neck guard. Anyone up for some beta testing?
Go go gadgetcopter!
That motor only sounds about as powerful as a leaf blower.
Actually that's rotax 125 and produces up to 38hp
Nice ,fantastic heli.....

If the seat falls off at 10,000 ft you better have a good grip :)
Amazing !!!!!! very impressive can I buy one ?
It's not a model, it's not RC. It's a one-of-a-kind home-built piece of machinery.
that looks like it could easily end bad
formattester6 yeah, deafness for a start! Lol
You're flying this and you're smiling, how amazing is that. Very skilled! Is this project still alive?
wrap it up, i'll take two!!!
That really loud noise is right over his head. How are his ears now?
Ausm thanks.might want to invest in some earplugs. Smart Minds,Smart Fun….WOWED!!!! I want one
1:09 ITS HIM! its inspector gadget
Just remember not to stand up right away, after you land.
Man it is like a swing hone out of control.

Are there any plans available online for this?
Great job, instead of that tripod can you keep so cool looking portable seat
......and thus was born the villain called "Copter-Head".
I want one now!!!
Wonderful machine.
And I suppose the danger of the low position of those blades can be alleviated with a shroud.

Grandeeeeeeee, Stupendoooooooo!!!!
That guy didn't hear anything for three weeks after.
Marvelous!
Also, notice he doesn't go any higher than he'd want to fall.
only helicopter build that can be carried. needs a fanjet engine & a AFCS-ATC iPod application.

I think if this catches on, pilots should adorn parachutes
That said - genius
looks very stable and nice. however, hot/loud engine near pilots head.. still cool tho.
Seemingly he has to rebuilt the Rotax kart engine after a short session of flying every time.
Looks liek this one has much more power. Is it available to purchase? Where, how much?
It would be better if there was some form of protection around the blades.
wow that is incredible!!!!
Where can I get purchase plans or parts for one of these??
So... will it fly out of translational lift? Never see any vid of it doing other than hovering...
Looks deadly

@@user-yt4mm4db3b That's a good point. I'd have to dig out my rotorcraft book to confirm, though.
Great that he's having fun, but how about some safety gear!
Bravo bravo bravo bravo bravo
that's funny. very creative.
I'm curious as to what range this thing has?
very good !!
how high can u go with this.
that engine must have some serious rpm's
dear Santa...
I want the same machine!
Hai do u have the plan of the coaxial fixed pitch blade helicopter? Pls
Well... if the engine goes... I guess your screwed huh?
LOL... you wouldn't pay me enough to ride that!!
how much does it cost and how fast is it?
:O
OMFG
GOOD JOB MAN!
I hope he has a parachute
... i want 1
Não tem vídeo mais recente?

Lol...
and which develops a maximum speed? and can I buy?
what engine are you using?
Range before refueling: 300 Feet. LOL
pull one of these out on school
Quero um desses ai, onde comprar?
Can I buy this?
check out the inane expression, there's a homeless guy near my work has the same face :)
how do i make this
crazy bugger ....
Master
No!
epic!
Cuanto cuesta uno...???
Need this lol
Can you perform an auto-rotation in that?
KEEP YOUR HEAD DOWN
Sweerness!!!!
how much do this thing cost? any one?

wonder how easy iti s
this kamikaze !!!!
Zombie killer....
where is the military lol they need this
