    This is a good explanation! Joseph Zbukvic's book "Atmosphere and Mood in Watercolor" has a good paint consistency vs. paper moisture breakdown too. That's where I first heard of this analogy.

      Yes. I'm familiar with his book. I think he was definitely the first to popularize the idea-- if not the originator. Many watercolor instructors now use the analogy. THANKS Joseph Z!! :-)

    Your channel has been THE most helpful watercolor channel I have yet to come across!
