How is this a bad trade for either team?
    1) Both players' offensive stats are comparable.
    2) Both players are bench role-players in OKC.
    3) Compare Giddy to the incoming players in this year's draft. He would certainly be a top-five player.
    4) Giddy is 9 years younger than Caruso and is nowhere near his ceiling. Giddy is more durable.
    5) Chicago wouldn't be able to extend Caruso next year, but they could extend Giddy.

No one said its bad trade for either team. Only for the Bulls.
      1. Stats doesn't show Caruso's value. Lavine has better stats than Caruso, see how that played out.
      2. Caruso is much better fit for any team than Giddey, Presti just revealed they are planning to get Giddy come off the bench next season.
      3. Maybe, but any player this years draft you have control for 4 years, compared to Giddy who is up for extension. That's why OKC traded him, they didn't want to pay him.

Good video, however, I have an issue with one of your points. This trade had Jerry Reinsdorf written all over it, not AKME. If you look at Bulls trades over the years, Jerry takes a backseat when he trusts his front office. Examples: the Sleuth's run and when it was just John Paxson as GM. He does not trust AKME right now and as a result he vetoed 2 trades for 2 1st round picks, one at mid-season and the other before the Josh Giddey trade. 💯 Jerry Reinsdorf has a serious record as a poverty pimp at the negotiating table, and right now AKME is on the chopping block lowkey
