Great track and great movie. The events of this movie were loosely based from the actual of TWA Flight 847 which was hijacked in the Summer of 1985. Events such as the hijackers shooting at the reporters and the Navy Diver being beaten, executed and body dumped on the runway are both true events.

I remember listening to Dennis Miller's radio show one night and he and his staff kept playing this song over and over - they just loved it too much and couldn't stop playing it!
Loved this movie as a kid....and I still do to this day. One of my fondest memories is of Chuck Norris trying to board the plane on a FREAKING motorcycle....the 80's were the epitome the action movie genre. You dont find that many like this one. Thanks for the upload.

I watched this movies 3days ago and I couldn't hold back tears. Cried more than 3times. It reminded me of my childhood memory as one of my favourite movies and then,the terrorist death with the passengers on board and how how the passengers were rescued. Am sure to try again if I decide to rewatch THE DELTA FORCE PT 1.

I feel the evangelical sounding parts were put in this song to symbolize places such as Israel and the Middle East hence nicknamed "The Holy Land" and what this movie was about and the siding of the Jewish people in this movie, setting hostages free and fighting Islamic extremist terrorists.

Mash cant beat the british sas as the number one real life hostage rescue squad....and i say this as an irish woman...as in real examples ....operation desert claw in 1980 was a total disaster for delta force but the operation to release the hostage in the iranian embassey in london (also in 1980) was a resounding success.
