  • This math video tutorial focuses on graphing logarithmic functions with transformations and vertical asymptotes. It also shows you how to graph natural logs by making a data table and plotting points. In addition, it discusses how to write the domain and range using interval notation. This video contains plenty of examples and is useful for students taking algebra 2, precalculus or college algebra.

    • @kurapika3285
      @kurapika3285 3 года назад

      No, the range is correct. I think you may be observing from the perspective of the covered x units, or you meant to say the domain.
      Your answer would be what the answer of the domain is supposed to be since the video accidentally writes it as a positive 2.
      However, if you truly meant the range, the range mentioned in the video is correct as it goes in the directions of infinitely upwards and infinitely downwards.

      No that would be if you subtracted 3 from the equation and got a negative 3 equated to a positive x.
      However given x is a negative, even if you subtracted 3 you’d still have to divide it by -1 to get rid of the negative in x resulting in x=3. Hence it should be shifted 3 units to the right,

      @@jzpemina9185 Try to figure out what the base and the exponent is. If the exponent is negative, that means the answer will be a fraction.

    you still have to determine the third point y = 0 in all these cases

    What if there's no base, does it always emphasize as e or only for natural logarithmic only?

    • @kurapika3285
      @kurapika3285 3 года назад

      If you don’t see a base on log, it’s automatically 10. The e (euler’s number) the base for ln, the natural log.
      Basically the base of log only is 10, whereas e is the base of ln.
