12 Months Update - (Surprise Baby Gourami) NO filter, NO CO2, NO Ferts 5 Gallon Nano Tank

  • This is 12th month update. The fish are called Sparkling or Pygmy gourami.
I was keeping the plastic container filled with trimmings for keeping daphnia. I pretty much neglected it for nearly 2 months and only topped off with old tank water. I guess he survived eating daphnia. The temps would have fluctuated so much in there. It gets direct sunlight during all afternoon. What a survivor! Crazy hardy fish.
I kept him in the girls tank for a while, then realized it was boy, so I moved him to the boys tank.

Jacob Pugh females have a bigger belly filled with eggs. The males are tinner and have an smaller fin that is more like a sharp knife. Bought 3 in febuari also didnt know how to sex them. But after a months now i see the differents. Iff they breed the male catches the eggs and brings them to the nest.
