Ok, so I leave this comment on several people who react to Ateez for the first time because I get THAT excited about new people finding out how amazing they are. I wasn't even a K-pop fan when I found Ateez, and I am addicted to them. I'm getting my masters degree in music production (undergrad film score composition), and Ateez's music production is THE VERY BEST. No other K-pop group gets the transitions and the genre switches just perfect they Ateez does about 95% of the time. The way they stack vocals and instrumentals creates insane textures. All eight members have different voices from one another so the producers have a huge box of crayons to work with. And they do

They were the first boy group to perform Coachella this year which made history and they performed twice and the first time was amazing but the second time it was even bigger with more people and, lots of people were leaving other venues to go and find out who these men were and they’re even bigger than before and they are practically everywhere

They were recently at Coachella! They have so many bops and so many songs that go REALLY hard. They do music in literally every genre. You seem like you enjoy variations, EVERY SONG is ALL variation. Start from the beginning. It can be choppy but it gets good fast.

Ateez vocals and performance are insane. Live vocals are amazing. I had the same reaction when I heard them for the first time in 2022. Welcome, I fell down the ATEEZ rabbit hole and never surfaced again XD. They are sooo good. You need to check out Halazia, Guerrilla, Wonderland and The Real.

To answer some questions:
The high notes in your ears, were Jongho, the maknae of the group. Easily some of the most solid vocals in 4th generation kpop.
They come from a smaller label in SK, called KQ entertainment. All their music is typically done in house, and the leader Hongjoong (the rapper with the higher voice tone) tends to participate in many facets of their music’s creation.
There are eight members/ Hongjoong (the leader aka father), Seongwha (the one riding the ostrich in the video, the mother of the group), San (dude showing his chesticles in the video), Jongho (maknae, vocal king, guy buried in the dirt), Mingi (the deep voiced rapper, also known as the princess of the group), Yeosang (had the high kick at the end during the dance break), Yunho (in the diner waving around his spatula at the beginning) and Wooyoung (the one with the ladies doing the flamenco 💃).
In terms of their music, there is so much of it and honestly all of it is great. I’d say since you’ve seen this one, to watch Hala Hala, Illusion, Inception, Halazia, and Guerilla as well as Bouncy (many more but these will suffice for now lol)
Also they just dropped their new album, Work is the title track, but if you liked the random pops of latin vibes in work, you might enjoy Blind a lot. The whole album is great though, a good mix of genres.

They have some of the most hype music rofl the bulk of their songs are on my workout playlist. They’ve got some b-sides that are disgustingly good but don’t have MVs (The Leaders, The Ring, Arriba, Win) But also they have lots of slow songs too. More ballads and heartfelt, and then some baby making songs Lolol I hope you enjoy your trip down the rabbit hole.
Also don’t mind any atiny that get a bit upset if you weren’t fully focused and dissecting the video (A-teeny, the name of Ateez fanbase). Ateez has some great lore, and with that they have lots of Easter eggs and info in their music videos which pertain to that. As you learn more about the guys you’ll see what I’m talking about as many of their videos are interconnected. Atiny just get really excited to share our group and we can come across as pushy about noticing the concepts that ateez is portraying. But we mean the best and genuinely want others to be as geeked about them as we are lol.

You’re not alone with your reaction when first introduced to ATEEZ! Their discography is so diverse & def. no skip! Would recommend watching their live performances esp. Killing Voice (just released this week & within 3 - 4 days, 1mil views) & KBS Immortal Songs (won 4x against more established vocalists). Of course, their Coachella set (unfortunately only 1 official video BUT a slew of fan cams) is fantastic. Still don’t understand why their country, Korea, has been so slow to recognize their talent. ATEEZ has everything they say they want - all Korean members, live vocals, dancing, performers, and good looking. They shine on stage but still remain humble & kind!! Up until last week, San (the one w/the vest) was still going around alone in Seoul. They say 8 Makes 1 Team (8M1T). They were destined to meet (there’s a lengthy fan-made video guide on how they came to be & about their lore). Fandom is called ATINY (ATEEZ + destiny). This vid didn’t have their usual choreo/dancers - BB Trippin. ATEEZ also has a lot of content on their channel. You will def go down a rabbit-hole. Welcome to ATEEZ!

i definitely recommend Ateez's songs "Bouncy" and "Crazy Form"
If you like these songs, I really do suggest starting from the beginning. You will have SO MANY PEOPLE watch you watch even if we've seen a hundred other people react.
I just love my boys! So Jongho is the one SINGING in your ear. He is our vocal KING. Ateez is also the Kings of the anti-drop which you will figure out when you watch Halazia. Their music is amazing, their vocals are perfect, their visuals...nuff said. They are all around amazing. Even my husband who is nearly 60 loves them!

It happens to all of us. You can’t help but move and get fired up. They love to play around with beats and sounds. Each album has something new and refreshing about it. Love the reviews on ATEEZ. I started listening to them like 5 years ago when my older daughter and I drove to Kentucky to visit my younger daughter and son in law at Fort Campbell Kentucky. So I’m driving and my daughter is playing her music and I got to listen to them for first time and the song that got me was ( Say My Name ) so give that one a listen 🎧 I’ve been a fan ever since and I’m 55 😊going to their concert in August and I can’t wait 😎

I'm sorry to say that this is my first time watching you, so I don't know how hyped up you normally get, and though I was laughing and enjoying your reaction, you had me atiny (bad joke) bit worried. I was like, "ok, calm down, breathe a little, don't stroke out on us..." Also, while sitting here talking out loud at my screen, I even said, "Dude, Ateez may not be the group for you. He always starts his rap with a laugh) Seonghwa (Rapper / vocalist ), Yunho (main dancer / vocalist), Yeosang (dancer / vocalist), San (Dancer / vocalist/ low notes ), Mingi (raper always begins his rap with FIX ON ), Wooyoung (dancer/ vocalist), Jongho (main vocalist who hits most the high notes) under KQ Entertainment company. they are performers who debuted in 2018.
The fan base is called Atiny which is combination of Destiny and Ateez is name. Ateez + Destiny = Atiny.
They have a FULL Pirate theme (They are the only Pirate's themed group for now) they are the space pirates who travel around, and have different dimensions. That’s the reason the hourglass and other pirate props are involved in all the MV’s.
They have a full storyline, and all the songs from the beginning when they started (Debut) tell this day is a continuation to the storyline. so basically every songs is related to the next. its an interesting storyline trust me.
Normally i wouldn't get interested in themes, however as an analyst this intrigued me to follow the storyline.
there is alway a teaser In the end of MV to the next title track or the next comeback song, That’s why you may say i’ve heard this before in the end of MV'S.

Ok so the one that is buried in the ground at the start is jongho hes the youngest and the main vocal of the group.
The one that started the song is hoongjoong main rapper and leader.
The second one to sing in the diner is yunho lead singer and main dancer.
The one at the costruction site with abs out is san hes the lead vocal.
The one riding the ostrich is seonghwa vocal, dance, rap.
The one saying adios is wooyoung vocalist and main dancer.
The one with the chicken is yeosang vocal and dance.
The rapper with the big coat is mingi.
They are a south korea boy band under kq entertaiment and they have been in the game from 2019 and recently they were the first kpop boy group to perform on coatchela .their song work is from their golden hour part 1 album which is their 10th studio album.
