I find the call that reduces the speed of smaller dinos very useful: even if I don't use often the grab ability, it slows them down enough for me to peck them to death. Also useful against raptors trying to pounce on you.

That's exactly the reason why I use it, however it seems very inconsistent as to when I can use it. So far I've noticed it won't allow me to use it if I'm in combat which is kinda dumb.
