"Line up Ladies!" Hahah you had me dying when you said that! You couldn't not laugh if you wanted too. Crazy how far we've come since you made this video for an extra 20-30$ you can get decent goggles nowadays. Good job man, keep up the good work!
I've only been flying since December, but have been gravitating toward FPV, but the cost of most systems threw me off. But this ... this has given me hope! LOL Thanks for the tips and review. Subbed.
I have some quantum v1's just like these and have literally had my first FPV flight today, this sounds like a great mod! ps good to see another Aussie making top Drone vids n mods. gr8 stuff
you have some of the best vids ever. This is awesome. I went with your $300 setup and thought i'd made a massive mistake...then it just clicked. great vids, great instructions.
I need to say awesome videos man! Great content and easy to follow along! If I could give one suggestion, it's to pick up a bloody mic, shouting across the room makes for really bad losses in audio and sounds be quite tinny.
+Head Hertz I know, I wish I had a mic. I just can't afford one right now. $50 on a mic is $50 of some cool quad stuff I could buy. As it is I'm borrowing the current mic and its not even my camera that I film with. I have to borrow the DSLR too haha. My lighting is some dodgy lamp and extension leads everywhere. my light box is made of cardboard and for a while I was using the back of wrapping paper as the background for my videos lol. The studio is crammed into my tiny house lol. Trust me I want a mic too but its not on the cards at the moment. Thanks for your support though. I really appreciate the feedback and comments. Happy flying mate. Ps I've got some really cool videos in production of some very very cool prototype models...
Hey Stew, remember what I said about you making a tutorial video exactly when I need it? Guess who owns a pair of quanum v1s... :) I'm definitely going to do that lens mod, it looks like it makes the goggles so much better!
Do it, it's so much better. I'm actually blown away with how good they are once you mod them up. Get the ski mask too. Mine was under 10 from eBay and it makes it so much nicer to wear.
Question: Watched the video on the Quanum Cyclops FPV Goggles and would like to know if I can use these to fly my Hubsan x4 H502S quad? I'm new to this and would like to get started flying with FPV googles and if I can use these it looks like an relatively inexpensive way to start. So if you would add your two cents on what I need I would really appreciate it. Thanks JR
nice ideas as most of them being discussed in rcgroups, but the most importand upgrade is the monitor. buy a 5 inch better resolution with a better bigger fresnel as you did and already its ok and better than fatsharks.. the rest like ski goggles and etc are not so important. Also right now hk sells v2 neopren separetly and they with to v1. just fyi
+UAVfutures better to use gopro head strap as it helps a lot to carry the weight of the goggles so much better! There are a couple of chinese vr glasses and sony's upcoming morpheus goggles that use the same idea. just has to create a mechanism that will help to attach gopro strap to the top part of hk goggles. Plus you can still use ski goggles if you really like them.. Anyway thanks for the video ofcourse

hey mate! I need some help, I've just gotten into this hobby my first build was a zmr250. now I want to build a zmr150 the thing I'm confused about is I have a flysky i6 control, do I need the i6 receiver? or is there another 1 I can use? and every video I see on the 150 quads they are using naze and lemonrx. not seeing any with cc3d
+gordon drummond hi mate. I'm not sure about the fly sky systems yet sorry. as far as the cc3d goes. I would say just get a naze if you can. i think they are about $12US online now. I have a cc3d board here but its not worth using because of how easy i find nazes to be
I really like the video, but why not just buy some V2s? They're not that much more expensive and you wouldn't need to have an extra pair of old ski goggles on hand.
+Metroshica The V2s are indeed a cool product. I got these on sale for $20 and I wanted the cheapest of cheap. I have tried the v2s and they were very immersive too. But I still think the modded v1s with ski goggles are more comfortable then stock v2s.

+Gur Isler I think the ski goggles are almost just as important as the other upgrades. It makes them actually bearable to wear
