I love this series. I am honored to say my Dad served, and was there during many of the campaigns the Band of Brothers fought. He would never talk about the war, except to say "he'd never been that cold in his life." (A Florida native 😅) We watched the series together, cried a bit, and it opened up conversations we'd never been able to have. My Dad passed away in 2012 at the age of 89. I'm grateful we had the love of this series to bond over ❤
Was Bradford Freeman an original member of Easy? As I don’t recall him being mentioned during the first Toccoa episodes. Other than him I think Don Malarkey was the last original Toccoa man, he died in 2017.
Why doesn't the narrator learn how to accurately pronounce the names of the soldiers? He also mispronounced many names of cities in his narration. This drives me nuts. Very sloppy.
Band of Brothers did not follow the true history. Dick Winters himself has said that much before. How they slandered private Blithe in the show to make him look like a coward should be criminal. That man was awarded the bronze star, a silver star and purple hearts from his combat in Korea and WW2, not to forget his horrible wounds from a mission he volunteered for in Normandy. Cowards are not awarded a bronze star or a silver star.
They did NOT present him as a coward. They showed him having literally blinding fear (which is a documented fact ), then standing up to that fear with help from Winters (again, documented), then standing up on his own, then standing up to volunteer for a dangerous patrol (also documented). They showed the progression of one man’s emotional fitness where he started off with a very natural response to the terror of war, to being able to manage it at a ridiculously high level. They just botched his death date and Korean service, and didn’t explain that he got shot because he pointed at the sniper he saw and said “bang bang” and alerted him to his presence.
Just like how they made Nixon look so much better than he was because Winter's talked him up because they were best friends. Most of Easy company said Nixon was a prick and they couldn't stand him. However Winter's claims Nixon was one of the finest combat officers he ever witnessed even though Nixon never lead anyone nor participated in combat. He literally never fired a single shot. Ed Shames also said Dick Winters lied a lot and Ambrose did a crappy job writing the book and put a lot of lies in it. 😂
Bro, I don't know about the others, but I appreciate a human voice over a computer any day. The people who say "horrible narration" probably mispronounce foreign brands/names like this: ProschEEEE, Mörcedieze, Renault, BeeMdoubleU, Oudi and Ssseitgeist and think this is how they are pronounced. You had some problems; learn from them and try to do better next time. Pronouncing names "wrong" happens and sucks, but damn, people, give him some slack.
Just a thought, maybe you'd have more subscribers and views if your videos had the personality of an actual human narrator. Reliance on cold, lifeless AI disrespectfully mispronounces important names is embarrassingly pathetic.
I agree with others, stating that this AI voiceover is often out of touch with the subject. Also, a blatant error: @06:55 you/it talks about 1LT Meeham falling on D-day, tgen saying this " made Winters the de-facto leader of 2nd Bat..." this should be 'E(asy) Coy, 2 Bat....'

Why is a computerized voice being used instead of a human?

Well done, but…if doing such a video, I recommend you learn to properly pronounce all of the participants names.
sending the best you've got to save the planet from sure destruction, and Sobel has Winters cleaning bathrooms. The Army is totally insane.

@@va3svd dick winters said himself he didn't like how they made him look like a coward when he wasn't.😂

What happened to Remariez

It's a dishonor to these Brave men to use this AI generated narration. People hate this so what's the upside using it
This computerized narration is a travesty. Along with the incorrect history in sections should be removed
Great story, HORRIBLE narration.
Hey your pronouncing SOBEL WRONG!
If your going to do it use real people and include them all
