You could watch Danny's transformation over the years from the first album to now, hes changed a lot not just physically but vocally and I guess it made sense at the time that Danny needed to do what he wanted to do. But Asking Alexandria had to continue so they hired Dennis Shaforostov from the Ukrainian band Make Me Famous, and he did this one album with them before disappearing. dennis never really gave a reason for his leaving, but both sides have shown that they dont like each other. Not long after Dennis left, Danny returned, and now they make music that reflects kind of what both the vocalist and the band wants but its nothing like it used to be. One of the funniest things Ive ever seen is the band interviews with Danny and the guitarist Ben, they're hilarious together.

There’s also that guy he scammed outta several grand for a feature that he never did (Ben paid the man back after hearing what denis did) and also after forming drag me out he stole the melody for alone in a room, and stole artwork for the album cover of the single “the watch of the buried” and also denis telling asking Alexandria that “there is no asking Alexandria till I get what I’m owed”

There was just something really special about their early work. And like I said I’m not hating on their new stuff, I’m still a fan, and have even met them and actually got to have a pretty lengthy conversation with Danny after getting to meet him after one of his solo shows. They’re very special to me, but I just kinda prefer the old stuff. All their stuff is great tho!

I would definitely love to make recommendations. I have been listening to Asking Alexandria since about 2014. I would suggest "A Prophecy", "The Final Episode", "Moving On", Into The Fire", and there's a few others here and there that would be great to continue with. I would strongly recommend that you dive deeper into Asking Alexandria. Keep it metal. \m/
So this is during the 1 album that their original lead singer wasn’t there, Danny. He left the band and they all had a bad falling out. Then Dennis, the singer on this song and album ended up leaving the band in the middle of a tour and Danny came back. It’s definitely an odd song to start with AA given their history but plenty of bangers to check out.

I wonder what AA would be today if Danny never came back. It seems like it's continuously gotten worse since he returned after The Black. Despite what people might tell you, was their last good album. Their fifth album was average, at best. Danny is great and all.. but it just hasn't been the same. You can't really go wrong with reacting to anything off of their first three albums.
