The fall is likely just a decline in the city's importance, we know the NCR was spread thin and in bad shape during New Vegas. We all pay it forward when we have the resources. I leave 100-200 stimpacks in the box outside Vault 76 every week since I don't have the space to store them all.
As a diehard Fallout fan and an even bigger Fallout New Vegas fan, all I'm gonna say is to try to ignore those complaining about retcons, they are quite literally overreacting, clearly don't know the lore or just hate on Bethesda everytime they release something so keep that in mind. Cannot wait to see the rest 'cause I'm thoroughly loving hearing both of your opinions/thoughts throughout each episode. 👍🏻
Honestly the vast majority of them just don't understand how a drawn timeline works. ie the events written further along the line happened AFTER the earlier dates and not at the same time as the previous thing.
@@wwaxwork to be honest that's not really the thing thats bugging me. Its that for some reason Shady Sands completely moved locations. Like there has to be a reason for this since it would have been easy to replace all shady sands mentions to the boneyard instead without any real difference in story. But I would have expected it to be mentioned on the timeline if the entire town completely moved location.
I lost it when I saw Shady Sands and the mention of the NCR. I watched all already, so I will not expand in that, but this all made me very happy as a fan of Fallout since the first one released. What a great great show.
Fallout 3 to see the opposite side of the Brotherhood of Steel. How one person can make a difference in an ideal. Fallout 4 is your sandbox, and finally, Fallout New Vegas for the depth.
Fallout 3 best captures the atmosphere of Fallout (of the new games), New Vegas best captures the politics of the new world, and 4 captures how people rebuild the wasteland

I redownloaded Fallout 4 (cus of mods on xbox but i do have fallout 3 cus i got it free with FO4 when i brought it day one) also on xbox game pass there a perk for Fallout 76 which includes stuff from the show like 33 vault suit and apparently lucy appears in the fallout shelter mobile phone game
I like the detail that when vault 32 was destroyed the computer was the only thing still intact but after they cleaned everything up it was the only thing that was destroyed.
My first Fallout Game was Fallout 1, and 2 for the PC. I played them both simultaneously, and even though the graphics are like a birds eye view, top down, diablo like style, the story telling side missions mystery, a fucked-up-ness of the world is all the same. And as i played on their are so many references to the older games in fallout 3, New Vegas, and 4.. And this show! Shady Sands is the first town you actually visit out of the Vault in Fallout 1,it made me sad to see that it was blown up in a War with the NCR, but also intrigued. This show is amazing thanks for the reactions and the reviews guys Great as always!
I think the Fallout games should be played in the order they were released. Means Greg should start with Fallout 1 of course! I started with it in 1997, the year it came out, and it fundamentally changed the way I look at video games forever. It was so radically ahead of it's time, it's truly mindblowing. Today, nearly 27 years later, the gameplay overall feels a bit clunky and the UI sometimes is a bit annoying. But hey, that's part of the experience, the true Fallout experience. I simply think it needs to be experienced like it was designed back in the days, with all of it flaws AND its true awesomeness - the good and the bad, it's all part of the Fallout identity and it's evolution. And in my opinion to fully understand were the franchise is coming from and how it became what it is today, you have to start with Fallout 1. It established the world and its factions and some of the best characters of the Fallout universe, like the one and only Harold! Besides that, it still has one of the best villains of all time! No spoilers, but the big bad of the game truly in a league of it's own and a nearly perfect villain - he is THE Fallout villain. So I think you can't go wrong with Fallout 1 and it's a must play for everyone who not only likes Fallout, but video games overall.
i don't know I feel Fallout 1 isn't very new player friendly as someone who recently replayed it. Obviously it was great the time but a lot of it is kinda frustrating now. The combat in particular I just personally do not enjoy and found it a chore especially in the late game. Honestly i think it could easily put people off the whole franchise
The Vault 33 storyline was the best thing about this show to me. All that tension and reveal of a conspiracy of the vaults. And it was so well acted by everyone.
@@TomVCunningham Yeah. Thought it was odd how easily her dad took that thing. Even Maximus was struggling with it, and he was raised in the brotherhood.
Great reaction guys. It’s obvious you were going to love it like most as it’s been amazing & I’m not a die hardFallout player. This is the brilliance about the Fallout TV show - everyone can enjoy it whether you play Fallout or not. At around @09:50 you two argue about the date of the nuclear bombings. You mentioned the bombing happened in 2077, but Maximus said it happened when he was a kid. They are living 219 years or so later. You claimed Maximus was wrong, however you’re making the assumption that there was one bombing.😉 This has to be a little clue, no? Perhaps there was more than one bombing?
I really enjoyed this series. It was easy it binge watch. Thanks for getting these reactions out quickly….not so easy I’m sure! I’m happy you guys are enjoying them so far.
I agree with Tessler, Fallout 3 was my first ever journey into this world and type of gameplay with choose your own adventure stylee. So that should be Greg’s start point. How do you all feel about releasing all at once with this show in particular? This totally could have benefited from weekly release schedule. I am playing 4 now, and can’t believe how big the map is; so be very aware of how much time you will kill in this world. I just want Greg to see the tree people story lololol.
Oh hey guys, glad you made it to episode five by the way, I did forget to mention in episode four. Episodes one through four is like when you’re sitting in a roller coaster and starting to do that climb all the way to the very pinnacle, the tippy tippy top of the roller coaster, just before you go over the edge. Episodes five through eight is what happens when the roller coaster actually goes over and it hauls butt. Enjoy the ride because I know I am.🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I would hate to leave these characters, but I really want a few seasons dedicated to other vaults and the crazy crap that happened in them. It could almost be like American Horror Stories, each season a different vault and all new characters.
I think that will happen with different seasons. Each season being a new set of characters and lore. (I haven't finished the show yet so if the end contradicts my statement then ignore me)
@eihtballjnky that wasnt baded on the show but based on leaks/rumours i heard. Which is why i said i didnt finish it at that point so if the end says otherwise ignore my comment
That's so cool that the Fiends were added to the Fallout tv series i was not expecting that oh yeah for anyone who might not know the Fiends are in Fallout New Vegas and they are very similar to the Raiders
Fallout New Vegas, while old, is the best of all. That's not to say 3 and 4 aren't great, it's just New Vegas is so expansove on story and world building. Fallout 76 is also very serviceable and can be fun these days...
Yes and No. New Vegas also severely lacks atmosphere, is bloated, and has the worst setting. So, while its writing is great, that isn't the only thing that makes a great Fallout game.
I’m surprised the actress for Stephanie hasn’t been in much before this, such a natural talent. Im thinking she has a very bright career ahead of her after this big break
Correction, he's played the games post 2007, the first two main games came out in the 90s lol. Not too hard to get working, but it depends on if you can get along with an old fashioned top down isometric RPG. If not there are lore videos and gameplay series out there you can watch for the original 2 games lore.
For which fallout Greg should start with, (Unpopular opinion) it’s definitely fallout 4. People who play fallout hop on with the latest release. The ones around when 3 released love 3 the most. I started with new Vegas so that’s my favorite. Fallout 4 captures the experience of fallout without kicking your ass too hard. Greg is also a big thinker, I’m sure he’ll love the world and factions
16:05 OK I have to follow up my last statement with this one. On one hand, I can understand that Prime video wasn’t sure if it was actually going to work out. It was a big risk on their part even though you have Nolan and this fantastic crew behind the show so I can understand them being nervous and just decide to drop everything and if it works out great if it doesn’t work out at least we got everything out and it wasn’t a slow death, but they got realize now that this show is a moneymaker and next season is episode by episode please
Greg should start with 3. I think the GOG version has the least issues on PC. But how many games start with you being born, learn to walk, get a sweet roll and deal with high school bullies.
Another amazing video guys!!! Wow I'm shocked at how you're uploading reactions to this show almost everyday!! I enjoyed every episode of this show and I'm glad that you guys are enjoying it as well!!! I love the Fallout games so much!! 🤩🤩🤩😍😍😍🥳🥳🥳😎😎😎💯💯💯💜💜💜✨✨✨
fallout3 is the best starting point because it started in the vault. then the magical experience of going outside for the first time. unless you can endure the very old f1/2. then play new vegas next to continue your wasteland adventure. then 4.
Hey Rejects I'm with MJ start with 3 but if you cant handy old school graphics you can start with 4 especially now with this free next gen upgrade coming.
@@hellfish2309 and yet that little robot was by itself and was completely useless when the doors opened, why didn’t it call for help to deal with the intruder or help it from it being stuck?
@@the_33rd I mean the alternative is that Betty and whoever else originated from 31 still residing in 33 did it w/ their own hands; consider how vast the Vaults are aside from the space accessible to its residents and how Vaults 31-3 are among the most well prepared and equipped I however can’t reconcile that detail against the very clear ease w/ which Maldover infiltrated the 32, seeing as Bud and Vault-Tec would have guaranteed robot security/defense… all in all, I think there’s plenty of context that asking the audience to buy into the conceit isn’t a huge ask
Interesting, there was no indication that Shady Sands was destroyed in New Vegas which took place in 2281 but now by 2296 it is a smoking crater in the ground. Still, Shady Sands was a tiny fraction of the NCR population so I hope the rest of the Republic recovers and stays together. Despite all its flaws, it really was one of the most promising factions to arise from the Wasteland.
I started with Fallout 3, but I don't think Greg would enjoy it in this new era of gaming. I began my Fallout journey through the wasteland a few weeks prior to the Amazon series, hoping to finish it before the series dropped but I did not. The learning curve of game mechanics paired with endless hours trying to look for junk on the blotchy floors not only took the enjoyment of the experience away, but it had my eyes bleeding. I stuck out a good amount and continue to hop back in to progress the Fallout 3 story, but once I started New Vegas and Fallout 4, wow! What a difference both of them made. Sure the grind is real in both, and I only have a few hours clocked so far, but I would say to Greg, "if you want to enjoy the games, start with New Vegas and then Fallout 4. If you really liked them and got the full experience out of those titles, then backtrack and try Fallout 3." You aren't missing anything in Fallout 3 that you won't be exposed to in the other games and the Amazon series, although I see hints of Fallout 3 in the Amazon series. I also only say this due to Greg's schedule of doing all these videos and editing, I don't think he would want to sour his Fallout experience by being bogged down with the old graphics of Fallout 3.
I think they should how released two episodes a week for Fallout. Weekly isn't bad but would have taken some time for the season to end and who knows what other shows are coming out soon
Man, seeing Shady Sands nuked really got me. I haven't played much F1 and F2, but have played NV a lot and I liked the idea of NCR. This sight alone made my almost cry.
16:03 oh man, you and John just reminded me and said the exact same thing I was thinking while I was watching this episode. Next season, they have better put this as a weekly episodic show because if this has not shown them that people are hooked on fallout. I don’t know what’s gonna convince them, they got the numbers for sure so next season just do it week by week because people are gonna be dying to find out what happens from one episode to the other.
Call me greedy but I am beyond stoked they dropped it all at once and hope they keep that up. I already have enough to stress about every week haha. It's nice to sit down for a whole day and just binge.

3:04 well the dog is going because he has the head. That’s really the only reason why the dog is following it because it’s his masters head.
Yea that seems like it should have been pretty easy to pick up. Guess not.
36:20 I was playing Fallout 76 the other day had the same thing happen to me, then last night I run into a level 3 player so drop a load of supplies for them, got to pay it forward in the wasteland, love the reactions guys, and love this show. 👍
and if we lose our shit every time bethesda retcons the lore then we'd be insane by now lol
@@thewerewolff7248 I mean to be fair it really isn't that big of an issue. Not like the placement of Shady Sands actually held any real significance.
Mr Tessler I am living for your singing of the radio songs and little gasps of appreciative recognition
Aw you just made my day! Thanks Luke!
I can feel Michael's pain trying to hold things back to not spoil the show for Greg 😂
Every ounce of energy.
He has let a few slip out already unfortunately 😕
@@cameronh.3668 I honestly don't think Greg noticed tho bcuz it wasn't major spoilers and Greg isn't familiar with Fallout content other than wut he has seen from this show and little tiny bits other places
Greg spools stuff constantly with his thumbnails so f*** him lol
I think it’s extremely annoying
If your trying to place Moises, he was in Enders Game, where he played the war school leader who was shorter than Ender.
He was also funny and weird as hell in "Kings Of Summer".
2:57 none of these squires are super highly intelligent that’s why they’re squires. Maximus is just like everybody else there’s he knows just as much as everybody else last because everyone else apparently studied or paid attention Maximus never really paid attention. Remember back from episode one he never really was able to grasp the ideas in the concepts that they were training them for that’s why Thaddeus was able to get the upper hand on him.🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I love these reactions and how indepth you go with the after thoughts, I've redownloaded fallout 3 after finishing this show. they got me.
I realized, I've never played Fallout 4, it was 3 that i played forever ago, so they also got me, and I've downloaded that lol
I redownloaded Fallout 4 (cus of mods on xbox but i do have fallout 3 cus i got it free with FO4 when i brought it day one) also on xbox game pass there a perk for Fallout 76 which includes stuff from the show like 33 vault suit and apparently lucy appears in the fallout shelter mobile phone game
played 3 in preperation for this and just couldnt get into the shooting. dialogue and story was still good. enjoyed NV and 4 much more on replays.
I think Norm was one of my favourite characters
Moises Arias is playing THE HELL out of his role. I hope he's not slept on during awards season.
I agree with Greg. That bridge scene was one of my favorite moments in the entire season. Very well directed
Aaron Moten doing a great job in this episode as Maximus. I could see him being a young Kang/Iron Lad if the MCU goes that route
4:07 by the way you’ve been asking for it since what episode one Lucy upgraded her weapon so she now has a gun and not the tranquilizer gun
Michael is the best! He’s gets us that played the game
Aw shucks, making my day!
thank god its NOT a weekly show. We dont know if we are alive in a few weeks.. we are alive now.. you know?
7:48 hey MJ there’s gonna be a music shift. I don’t remember if it’s in this episode or the next episode but I want to see. if you catch it or not.
Hehe
The Vault 33 storyline was the best thing about this show to me. All that tension and reveal of a conspiracy of the vaults.
And it was so well acted by everyone.
Completely agree. That political thriller aspect was straight out of a Sydney Pollack movie.
Holy shit. Lucy talking about the Sun in this episode 😮.
I was wondering about that in the finale.
I hadn't even clocked that! Also in this episode, Lucy mentions the vault had manuals for power armor, explaining the finale a tad more.
@@qrowing Are you talking about her Dad?
@@TomVCunningham Yeah. Thought it was odd how easily her dad took that thing. Even Maximus was struggling with it, and he was raised in the brotherhood.
@@qrowing We don't know. Hank may have even had a couple of years of military service before Vault-Tec.
Great Reaction! Michael is perfect for theses Fallout videos
Aw shucks, making my day!
8:44 again you might think that this kind of ridiculous the way they’re acting in the vault 33 but be patient Greg be patient
Greg and John I love you guys and I miss talking to you!!!! Thanks so much for the shout out!!!
Great Reaction Greg and Michael! 👍
Great comment TheNerdyWave2007!
I just finished the whole show and it’s fire.
(I haven't finished the show yet so if the end contradicts my statement then ignore me)
@@immortal5626yeah finish the show before you start saying shit hahaha
@eihtballjnky that wasnt baded on the show but based on leaks/rumours i heard. Which is why i said i didnt finish it at that point so if the end says otherwise ignore my comment
That's so cool that the Fiends were added to the Fallout tv series i was not expecting that oh yeah for anyone who might not know the Fiends are in Fallout New Vegas and they are very similar to the Raiders
If yall like this you guys should really watch severance. This episode gave major severance vibes
I loved season one which means I’m disqualified:(
Fallout New Vegas, while old, is the best of all.
Fallout 2 will forever be my favourite Fallout.
3:20 the dog is following the head, no matter who's carrying it
I’m surprised the actress for Stephanie hasn’t been in much before this, such a natural talent. Im thinking she has a very bright career ahead of her after this big break
The fact that lucys father had the same explanation as the woman from vault 31 did about why it was better than vault 33 was chilling.
The dog hasn't switch masters once, he is following the scientist and later his head from beginning to end.
Reel Rejects, This is great! I liked it and subscribed!
Welcome to the Reject Nation!
17:53 😂😂 A man of the people
Bro can't just say "That's fallout" every time Greg makes an interesting observation, cmon man
That’s fallout.
"this stinky old head's mine now"
what a weird line
I feel like everyone from electrical to acting has been knocking it out of the park! 😎🤙🤙
🤩🤩🤩😍😍😍🥳🥳🥳😎😎😎💯💯💯💜💜💜✨✨✨
fallout3 is the best starting point because it started in the vault. then the magical experience of going outside for the first time. unless you can endure the very old f1/2. then play new vegas next to continue your wasteland adventure. then 4.
Yeah, 3 is definitely the best place to start. It is also much less dense and expansive.
The dog is following the head lol
Damn you're right.
The likely vault they landed in is either vault 13 or vault 15, or a previously unknown vault.
Yeah. A weekly rollout of the episodes would've been awesome.
I can just imagine the internet going wild with Vault 31 theories.
Hey Rejects I'm with MJ start with 3 but if you cant handy old school graphics you can start with 4 especially now with this free next gen upgrade coming.
19:30 Greg’s impressions of Bruce from Family Guy lol
Maximus just deciding to choose all the wrong speech checks
Also I thought the T-60 was a post war model
Oh, idk, Greg should start with Fallout 3. I'm absolutely hooked on this series... Didnt think I could love Fallout more.
This series keeps getting better and better!
Now knowing what’s in vault 31 how did they manage to clean up vault 32 so fast?
I assumed Robco robots
@@hellfish2309 and yet that little robot was by itself and was completely useless when the doors opened, why didn’t it call for help to deal with the intruder or help it from it being stuck?
Imagine they woke up all of management temporarily just to make them clean it up 😂
@@the_33rd I mean the alternative is that Betty and whoever else originated from 31 still residing in 33 did it w/ their own hands; consider how vast the Vaults are aside from the space accessible to its residents and how Vaults 31-3 are among the most well prepared and equipped
I however can’t reconcile that detail against the very clear ease w/ which Maldover infiltrated the 32, seeing as Bud and Vault-Tec would have guaranteed robot security/defense… all in all, I think there’s plenty of context that asking the audience to buy into the conceit isn’t a huge ask
Why did they clean it up? They are a single generation from going to the surface. Was that a lie?
Honestly, the Vaults being the most interesting and messed up part of this show is so on brand for Fallout. 10/10
10:13 it's so funny to watch your reactions when I know what happens
'Smell that greg, thats the sound of the 17th most free nation on earth'
The bombs fell more than once. At least for Shady Pines.
Michael is such a perfect addition for the reactions
"And Neither Do We" lmao hahaha
3:14 “yes” “yes” 😂
5:30 Perception. The I in S.P.E.C.I.A.L. is Intelligence
Greg should start at New Vegas it's the best story and characters....plus Matthew Perry is in New Vegas
11:39 *fails charisma check 11:59 *passes luck check. this felt like fallout 😭
