great video. i picked up the pattern pack and cant wait to give it a try. thank you for sharing
Thanks Don, that is something my wife was pointing out that is becoming a style. Great work.
Guess I better make one of those! Thanks for the inspiration, brother.
Thanks for another great project and video. Hope to see more in the future. Would love to see a video on how you do your rope bags.
Thanks so much Dan ! I love this project!
Thanks Don! Very helpful!
Great project. Thank You.
Great project video as always
sweet project!
Good stuff as always, Don!
Great project! Guess I better make one of those!
This is a really beautiful purse! I would love one for myself.

Don, I always enjoy seeing different saddle shops and how they are laid out. It would be fun to see a walkthrough your shop and how and why you got it set up the way you do. Enjoy your videos.
Love you videos and you work i do some leather work myself your videos have helped me alot on my carving thanks.
Breathtaking job.....I've learnt so so so much since I started following you......you truly are an amazing artist.
Wicked!!!!!!
Wish I could snap my fingers and have my tooling come out that nice!!! Perhaps you could punch slots in the gusset and weave the strap through them instead of sewing in pieces. I did this on a round canteen cover and it worked well. The zipper would have to be smaller for it to as well. Cool project!
beauty
Thank you sir.
Your attention to detail is great. I’m new to your channel. We understand its not a bag you would carry. Thanks
Хороший урок!)))спасибо!
Christmas is here, I'm making a smaller version for my daughter that will fit in her backpack.
Got a friend that does! 🤣🤣
Hi Don, wonderful video as always. I have a question about hand stitching this particular project. How would you recommend punching stitching holes with this? I imagine it would be somewhat awkward, and likely would have to be done once the gusset is glued to the panels? Any tips or tricks would be great. Thank you for what you do. I have learned so much from you already.
Another awesome project and another pattern sold! Hahaha. I would like to know which video has the instructions for making the leather piece you used to hold the strap against when you edged it. I vaguely remember seeing something about it, but I cannot remember where. Thanks.
Great work! #ConsorzioVeraPelle
Great Video once again Don Thanks, What size of circle and what length of zipper would you suggest if you were making a rope bag?
That’s a nice ball cap do you sell them and how much. Get a lot of good ideas from your videos thanks alot
With how thin the gusset is, do you think this would be possible to do on a flat bed sewing machine if you don’t have a cylinder arm machine at your disposal?
Hi, what tool to bevel the edges of the circle piece, the creaser and what glue do you use?
Thanks! This video and companion pack is going to save our bacon. And a lot of heartache!
What happen to the (big nasty) glue pot?
Great project! Where’s the old glue pot???? That jar is not the same!
She’s still kickin! Just been breaking in the old school glass on small projects!
Do you have sewing videos showing how to join the ends and installing zippers?
Ok so I used 3 ounce leather for my gusset, it ended up being around 3/8” to 1/2” to long. My measurements were on the Money so the only thing I could think of is the 3 ounce leather either stretched as I glued it to the face or the leather being 3 ounces made the gusset longer?
Is the zipper 1/2 of the circumference of the bag? I think 1/3 is enough, beautiful work, just so that the belt clamping system would do it differently
Having done my own and looked at examples 1/3 is good, 1/2 is excessive
I have those heavy sewing machine, which thread number you used for that proyecto?
And I thought I’d never use the circumference equation past high school😂
Don, the Xacto knife can use the injector blades? Enjoy your video’s!
Yes sir... it’s a bigger diameter one than the normal xacto handle... I get them at hobby lobby!
What do you thin you contact adhesive with?
Don, do you use only metal zippers? I tend to use nylon zippers.
Hi! What is the trim knife that you are using?
I have a friend that does😂
what is the blue thing
You’d is don’t not carry it. ? 😂. Good job. 👍😉. I’d is try makes.
I'm relatively new to your videos but, have enjoyed them greatly. Just curious, why did you use olive oil (7:16) instead of another product?
He's got a video or two talking about that, but I can't remember which video it is
@@brnco86 Thanks. I'm a little new to some of the leather working world but, have done woodworking for decades and learned the hard way that food oils go rancid easily.
What tool is at 15:55 and where can I buy that one? I’ve got a stitch line groover but it’s cheap and that is like an old compass. Just twist and adjust
Did you ever figure that out? I have the same question.
Also what edging tool for beveling around the circles
Great video Bro ! It will help a lot ! So when you carry this, can you get a whole roll of snuff in there ? Haha just kidding. See ya soon buddy.
Perfect. Not cattywampus in the least.
Wait, what did you do to the head of the rivet? Looked like you hit it with a small nut driver.
Ha ha! Exactly what it was... poor mans rivet domer!
@@DonGonzalesMaker thanks for the pro tip
