Hilarious to see this vasectomy sketch, written and performed so long ago. The nurses chortling, the men comforting each other. Happy that SCTV is being kept alive here. Thanks!
I had a vasectomy a few months ago and riffed on this scene in the office after it was done. No one got it except one guy in his 50’s. We had a good laugh. The ironic part, for me anyhow is that the office was in Don Mills(Toronto) but also the name Eugene Levy used in that western parody they did on SCTV(Six Gun Justice.) In my music history latin chants, only Catherine could master the gregorian chants and bring them to modern acceptance, even though those who stubbed their toes could not refrain from cussing out loud and violate their vow.

As a Romany Gypsy, I found this hilarious. I don't know why they picked us. The story about God baking people in an oven is actually real but not an actual belief. Just a Santa Claus story to reassure brown kids. Also a Canadian, I once sat directly behind Katherine O'Hara at a Bob Marley concert.
I bet they had a hard time not laughing at Eugene Levy's "poet" character, because i was apoplectic. Joe Flaherty was likely the inspiration for Mike Myers character in So i married an Axe Murder. Which was awesome too!
I'm so glad to find this little trove of episodes, because it's been incredibly difficult to find anything other than the NBC edition of the show in the US, but from about '88-93 or so, I watched the Nick at Nite edition of the show, and haven't been able to find that anywhere.
