I too stood in the Michaels Craft Store and watched this before buying an album. I felt like this video was going to be enough to help me when I added extra pages..Thank you so much for making this video 4 years ago!
For those of you who struggle with unscrewing the screws, I also did until I realized that the screws on the opposite side were moving as well. I found that it worked to secure the other side somehow (i used another screwdriver) while you work at the side you want to unscrew.
Thank you SO much! This was a life-saver! We tried to figure out how to substitute 4-pocket sheets & failed miserably until I found this :).
I am standing in Hobby Lobby watching this before I buy new albums because there are not directions on the packaging!
Me too! 😂
Me three!!
Wow it's crazy how helpful this is even after so many years 🎉 😂 thank you~
THANK YOU!! You helped me with a very important gift that was under a time crack and your video SAVED THE DAY!! Bless you!!🙏🙏💓
As simple as this may be, I needed help. Thank you.
My screws are twisting but aren’t unscrewing
Hold the other side with pliers.
Thank you for making this. This video helped me finish my scrapbook
My screws won't unscrew? Am I doing something wrong?
You probably have the answer by now, but just hold the back of the screws steady with a needle nose pliers.
Man. I totally forgot how to do this and needed a good refresher. Thanks for this!!!
Glad you found it helpful Vyvyan!
Beautiful cards!
This is a really involved process lol. Damn.
what is the most pages you can put into an expandable scrapbook?
I’m having the hardest time trying to take off the post. I got the first one off but my second one doesn’t want to come off
Thanks for the video. Why do you need to add the foam spacer? Won't it create an odd separation in the scrapbook? Couldn't you just add the additional pages so it looks more seamless?
Thanks for your question Kylene! The spacer helps the binding stay the same width as your pages if you have any 3D elements in your scrapbook. It's up to your creative judgement whether it looks better without the spacer.
Colorbök LLC I see! Makes sense. Thanks!!

Thank you for this!!! I took mine apart and then couldn’t figure out how to get it back together 😂
This is my type of stuff. Great share! Connected thru Catfish Terry's livestream. We fam now
Thanks, this was really helpful!
Has anyone used the "bonus expansion back" that comes with Pioneer Memory Albums? the directions are clear as mud!
Thank you!! Trying to find a scrapbook for a guestbook for my baby shower and had no idea how to refill these 😭
I can’t get them unscrewed!!!!!!!
Thanks for the info. Very straightforward
SO HELPFUL. Thank you!!
Do you think I need to add the screw extension and the spacer if I’m only adding an additional 2-3 pages?
Hi Serena, thanks for your question! You shouldn't need to add the screw extension and spacer for 2-3 pages.
What kind of screwdriver is need to take out the posts and add more pages?
What is the difference between page protectors and refill pages
I just gotta say, the music to this video is so relaxing
How many pages can you fit into one 12 x 22 post bound album?
Hi Michele, thanks for your question. Depending on the thickness of your scrapbook pages, our scrapbook albums will hold 40-50 pages. Please keep in mind, you will need the post extenders that come in a refill pack to add more than 10 pages.
Can you tell me whether Colorbok cardstock is dye-based or is it pigment-based?
Would you happen to know if and where they sell extra spacer, binding paper? I accidentally threw mine away :(
THANK YOU!!!!!
The whole thing on mine turns with the screwdriver. (Pretty tight. So I feel kinda dumb here. Is there any way to loosen it up and separate it?
SOmeone needs to hold the pages out of the way so that you can use a screwdriver on each side, one to turn the screw and the other to stop the reverse one from turning.
I can’t get the post to unscrew even with a screw driver
Did you try holding the head screws in place with something, this happened to me and that helped
This video makes it look so easy , when really it is impossible.I can not unscrew my 8”x8” album. As I turn the screwdriver, the other side spins. I tried to hold that side
while unscrewing.
No luck. I am completely frustrated. This design is flawed. I wanted to add several pages but since that is not happening, here it sits
@@judygalvez4119 Have another person hold the other screw down with another screwdriver very tightly. I just did that right now with my dad and we got it to unscrew.
@@amandaruiz7484 Thank you for the tip. I got so frustrated I
ended up getting a different album. I was putting the album together for my cousin’s anniversary. so there was a time limit. However I’ll still have to face the troublesome album later. I’ll need to try your solution then.
Thanks again, Judy
I have a hand made wooden scrapbook 12 x 12 album cover. We made all the pages but when placing posts we cannot turn the pages to lay flat. Is there a way to do this? Never having done this ever...I am baffled. The pages extend past the edge of the wooden edge and I need to repunch the holes in the covers to accommodate this 1/2 inch difference. Do I have to put rings where the posts are to enable me to turn the pages?
Hi Patricia, thanks for your question! Our scrapbooks have a strip on the inside where the posts connect that acts like a hinge. If your cover is rigid and has no hinge, you will need rings instead of posts to open it.
lifesaver.
Mine spin for the back so it’s been real hard to take them out. I am frustrated
Same, I’ve been trying to remove the screws for 20 mins and they just spin.
@@jacquelinegoodman5243 I returned it
Thank you
I have a question about the spine expanders - which way do they go in - ie the open part facing into the pages or the other way? Or does it not matter?
It does not matter. They go either way which is good if you are a lefty.
@@johnna4487 oh thanks so much! I kinda ended up working that out in the end but thanks for clarification.
Excellent x
I really hate that scrapbooks are made in a square format. :( I wish expandable, rectangular scrapbooks that weren’t too small or big would exist.
I guess the pages at Hobby Lobby don’t include screw extenders…
My screws won’t come out for the life of me !!!
My extensors are too big and now my book won’t close what do you i do
Hi Meghan, thanks for your question! I'm guessing the spine panel might be too tight. The long holes on the spine panel are meant to give room for the album to close when you add new pages. Try loosening the back screws and gently pushing the long side of the spine panel out until the album can close, then retighten. If that doesn't work, please message us with a photo on our Facebook so we can help diagnose the problem!
I usually have my scrapbooks printed...I will never buy another Recollections album that you have to add pages to..I only added two pages and found this to be difficult and very time consuming.......I will continue to have my books printed...NO MORE RECOLLECTION BOOKS...
My screws won't come off!!!!! Extremely frustrating!!! Why are instructions not included?????
the screws won't come out help
Sorry you're having trouble! Have you tried holding the bottom of the post while you unscrew to make sure it isn't spinning too?
I hate this thing. The screws won’t come out no matter what. I lost the receipt otherwise I’d take it back. I have looked in the “back” to see if they were loose too. They are, but I can’t stabilize them. This product is worthless.
@@susanhopkins6308 Hi Susan, I'm sorry to hear you are unhappy with the album. Have you tried pushing on the back side of the screw with your finger to hold it in place while you unscrew the top with a screwdriver or coin? Failing that, if you got the album at Walmart, I believe they take returns without receipt up to 90 days after purchase.
Thank you I appreciate the help, but gosh that music is loud and annoying
Where do I find the expansion screws?
Thanks very much!!
