  • YouFishTV: Brendan Wing, Gawaine Blake and Neil Breward in a once in a lifetime experience on their home waterway Western Port. First up a 1.33mtr jewfish (40lbs) followed by an absolute beast that comes in at 1.42mts or approx 60lbs. The boys do specialist charters for these enigmatic fish but they never expect what goes down on this day. Please note the State bag limit of this species is 10 per person per day. We caught 6 mulloway from 7 trips in the 2009 season. 4 of those fish were over 18kgs, and we kept a grand total of 4 fish for the season, releasing 2. For charters contact 0448 500 111.

These are one of the game fish that must be on your to do list as an angler.
Not the easiest fish to locate but when you do , your smile will be as big as ever.
    Great job on your catch.

Fantastic. I have been chasing these things for years and am yet to land one half that size. I would eat the smaller one and have the bigger one stuffed and mounted. That truly is a fish of YOUR lifetime. :-)

@mTwpurit That is the first time in 10 years that someone has accused me of rexisms. So you are unique. All the other stuff has been said a million times. I am doing something about my weight. Sorry for you tho coz you cant do anything about being born DUMB you loser. Anyone can catch a jew on an SA beach you thick head, and I know that YOU would spend a life in Melbourne and never ever see one of this calibre. Thanks for sharing your agressive simple thoughts. Go have another beer.

That is an intense piece of water. After grounding and hiding behind pelican ( 2 3kg pinks on last of run out ) I snuck over towards the barge. 36 mtrs! Found my way into mosquito. Middle of day, banked, 2 fish, confidence going up, dragged anchor from 12 to 2 meters in 30 minutes. After living in Lorne, Torquay, Inverloch, Anglesea, Carrum ( born and bred ), fishing Robe to Tathra from same boat 15 years. Ummmmm. Got pantsed here. Like an amazing surf destination, ie Catts Reef at Moonlight...not much info on this spot. Hmmmmm. Like Catts reef beginners not apply. But I am a beginner at Corinella. Pelican smells of fish. I've seen enough and sense the shush. On the other hand, the bay around from Apollo bay near the islands and river is pretty raw. Good surf is a good sign. Lighthouse. Close by is deep and strong, fresh water close by. Aire close by. Not a triangle.

Too all the people raging about keeping it. There are legal limits for a reason, if you stick to the limit, you are fine by me. Most limits are taking breeding into account, I don't know about Jewies, but barramundi turn into females as they get older around 80cm, you cannot keep above 120 cm, this ensures big female barramundi with big birthing hips can reproduce and will sustain the barramundi population for the future. I personally release a lot of fish whether they are legal size or not, because I don't see the point in filling my freezer with fish that wont taste as good as it ages. Don't like it? Well you can do what the ducks do, and fluck off.

yeah just gotta say awesome fish fellas, must be stoked but yeah been a fisho since 3 years old and my pa always said kill them quick. which i agree. no living thing wants to be hung up around the cheek bone and nothing to breath. besides that good work. (grumbles at death of such a magnificent specimen. no?)

    Wow incredible catch.
Dont worry about the cocks mate. The more negative someone is the more insecure they are.
I just hope that fellow fishermen remember that if you tend on keeping the fish, end its life quickly and humanely. Iki jime is the best way to do so.

Brendan... we all know that you know your fish... maybe be a little more humble and less overbearing bud. I noticed in all your videos (big fan of yours) that you always guess right and know your stuff... maybe try to be a little more... ehat is the words i am looking for... not overbearing but enthusiastic in a positive way...? Hope this makes sense and hope you keep on hooking the big ones. Plenty of love from a big fan
