Hello there! You made a very thorough explanation on how to achieve this, but it's not clear to me mechanically why are you not getting killed by the reapers instantly. I can see the instructions, but not explanation. Can we possibly have some elaboration on this?
Just managed to pull this strat off myself. My first good attempt I didn't get enough levels - I think due to just falling behind on kills in the late waves from not pulling the scuffles to the edge of the screen. Several attempts later I finally got one that hit level 211, a little overkill but still works. Thanks for the guide - sent my twitch prime your way as a thanks!
Just hit level 200 using this video as a guide. I guess I'll know in another hour if I've killed a Death, but I never imagined how important the timing of evolving Moon would be. I went up 60 levels in the last minute and hit 201 just as Death was about to touch me. Thanks for the guide.
ok so after i worked for close to 10 hours for my first successfull run, i did the second one first try (excluding lvl 1 resets) after implementing what i have learned. here is my build order: lvl 1 song of mana, otherwhise reset. after that: - song of mana... again (take this one every time it shows up, only exception is if tiragisu lvl 1 appears at the same time). - banish pechone. - take secondary weapon of your choice (literally doesnt matter since you wont lvl it until song is maxed). - try to take no further active weapons until song is maxed, reason being: high luck -> almost guaranteed lvl up option for one of your owned weapons and you want that one to be song. passive prioritization: tiragisu ---> spellbinder/crown (try to max these two asap) ---> candle ---> duplicator (because of rarity and late game scaling for cats) ---> hollow heart/armor weapon prioritization after song is maxed: secondary weapon ---> cats ---> whip ---> pentagram (use the timings in the video at 10:30 to evolve ofc) arcanas: awake ---> speed (minute 11 chest) ---> duration (minute 21 chest) tips for playthrough: try to banish common weapons instead of rerolling in the early game, safe these for minute 8. 3 minutes: need song lvl 4, otherwhise reset. 6 minutes: walk towards the empty tomes. 8 minutes: get rid of your last revive (including both tiragisus), try to get the last passive weapon and pick up tome (lvl 2 tome+ lvl 5 spell binder = permanent song uptime). 9 - 11 minutes: sprint and kill as many mobs as you can, dont try to pick up every gem (unless its a red gem). 11 - 16 minutes: play it slow, dont panic and focus on evolving/ letting the cats pick up chickens. ~ minute 17: lvl 100! slowly make your way back to the center, keep the cat clouds at the edge of the screen (to spawn kill mobs coming from the left). QoL tip: cats spawn in a hexagram around you. if they have trouble picking up a floor chicken, adjust your position a bit and they should pick it up. its mostly what dex explains in the video, with minor tweaks for an easier time during the leveling phase. good luck! :)

Amazing guide Dex! I followed this to a T and got to 200 on my 6th attempt, took me 121 mins to start killing reapers but by 125th min I had killed 20 of them.
Hi dex maybe you should make a tier list of weapons and if you should evolution them(iirc u said runetracer evolution is bad so maybe making a video about it will help new players)
I was very confused when I first started playing and tried researching what items were and weren't recommended, and being very confused as to why people hated Garlic, Runetracer) and didn't recommend many of the characters, and then I realized it's because of how quickly substantial game updates have been coming in at. I mean, even the cats have completely chanted the meta, which is very cool. He could make one and update it every time they released a new character or weapon if he wanted to
Actually right now, there is no need to go a single build anymore. just go what you like and you will still reach 30min somehow. Ofc some weapons are stronger than other, but it is not required anymore.

Hi, been watching for a month or so now and i really like the content. Great guide, I finally managed to kill death. Took me 116 minutes though instead of your 90 and I was level 210.
What is your cats damage btw? Im level 206 with this exact build but no single reaper kill at 200 minutes. My cats deals around 100-150 damage if im not mistaken. I give up after its taking too long and my pc its starting to lag.
Oh cool, this build is possible, I've been trying it on Ghallo Tower, but fail to reach 200, also failing to upgrade phieraggi and successfully get a pumarola and garlic upgraded

Great vid, I could feel the amount of effort you put in it and your exhaustion while i was watching ! but it was truly interesting to see all these mechanics combined to kill reapers even when scaled to millions of HP. Sleep well, you deserve it ;)
I did this with the knife throwing guy. Armor+LifeReg+LifeLeech w/ increase attack rate pretty much make you unkillable and you can go afk for a few days
What's funny is when I killed Red Death, I didn't have a Clock Lancet, I just got lucky with his positioning and getting stuck on the furniture and killed the first one by the time the 4th one spawned to finally kill me because the 2nd and 3rd one's got stuck as well!
theoretically you could out scale the reaper and one shot it if you sat there long enough, since you are stuck at 210 the reapers health wouldn't go up anymore but all the pickups would give you infinite damage
I've been running Library for 2 days (going on 3 now) for world record and my cats do aroun 11.5k dmg per tick right now at minute 2800. Reapers have 665k hp x your level so no, you will never be able to one shot a reaper or yes technically you could if you played for more than a year. Btw cats just got nerfed so this is 20x harder now.
@Dex This might be a slower start than your optimal build,. but for those of us who can't dodge well enough to not use up our revives at the very beginning, how about this somewhat slower method... Swap out Duplicator for Skull o'mania for a run that doesn't use maxed out Curse upgrades. Yeah waves start lesser but hypothetically once you've got the initial weapons setup you can then go for skull o'mania as your final passive BEFORE you nab the free Empty tomes to increase enemy numbers per wave. Reason for Edit: I was incorrect, you can fit Curse in as the important passives will still fit the six slots with Curse: Armor, Candelabrador, Hollow Heart, Clover, Crown, Tiragisu and Skull o'mania once Tiragisu gets empitied.
You could try. In general I would avoid upgrading song of mana though. Knockback area will be too big, keeping too many ennemies off screen. At least it's been my experience.
I managed to reach 198 after fucking up the Gogeous Moon evolution timing, froze the Reaper and manually picked up gems to reach 200. Kills: 72208 Got the first Reaper kill at 125 min. Cat Damage was about 650. Items: Song of Mana, Laurel, Gatti Amari, Vandalier, Bloody Tear, Gorgeous Moon Candelabrador, Armor, Spellbinder, Crown, Tiragisu(used up), Hollow Heart, Duplicator, Empty Tome Good luck bros!
One question! So... if you become immortal at the end of the game like this... you'd probably have to QUIT out of the game. Does that mean the reaper kill still "counts" for the achievement and for getting red death?
yes, that applies to anything. So if you hit level 99 with a character before 30 or hit level 7 with an item for unlocks, you can quit out without fear.
well just sorta did this sorta easy. if all that's needed is the black heart, whip, and cats. Getting the skull to increase amount of enemies is a HUGE help to get to lvl 200. then it's smooth sailing from there. as long as your damage output is there at least to just kinda wreck through the enemies. even having absorb orb isn't bad for like lvl 2. enough to get xp but not enough to always absorb chicken. mix with santa water for just more damage output at end. can easily get that to be 1G damage alone. I'll mess around with some builds and stuff for this same sorta run but maybe not rely on the penta for the lvl up near end, nailing biting experience honestly. i'll update with reply if i find a strat or item combo that maybe gets to lvl 200 more reliably. Cause let's face it, if you're healing it outdoing the damage, it doesn't matter how long it takes to kill a death at that point as long as it does die. maybe garlic evolve could work out on forest even. I know i've gotten beyond lvl 200 on that stage a few times.
The beyond 200 on normal chars is no problem. Level 250+ is commonly done on level builds, even reaching 270. The problem is doing it on this char. Give it a go and evaluate how reliable it would be for a guide :p And no you need all the armor as well. The passive and from dying 6 times. Skull doesn't help as much as you might think because your damage is really low on a screen scale
Heyhey, i used your build and the gorgeous moon timings really helped alot to reach 200. I exchanged clover with spinach though because u can infinitely pick up clovers from the ground anyway. and didn't use garlic so i picked up fire wand instead. Currently 2400 minutes in XD
After about a week of trying this i finally got over level 200 but i couldn't kill a reaper. I let the game run for over 12 hours, there were so many reapers that the game couldn't keep track of time anymore; It thought 12 hours was around 7.5. In a 448 minute run, my cats only did 21.4G damage at 798k DPS and my kill counter never ticked up past the 30 minute mark. I don't know what i could have done differently. You had 28 more chickens than i did but i don't see how 28 chickens makes such a difference in the damage. Your cats were hitting for over 2k, mine were only hitting for around 260.
Chickens are not shown, the shown chickens are level ups. Lag severely cuts down damage since e.g. 1 FPS means you deal 33 times less damage. Edit: this guide was before a cat nerf, new guide linked in pinned comment
Hey Dex! Thanks so much for the guide. I'm currently at 60:45 on my first successful attempt to get the setup. Just waiting for that death counter, so thanks! One thing I would change in this guide is to just immediately forego birds by banishing Peachone the first chance I don't get a semi-rare item. My reasoning is that (like you mentioned in the video) it doesn't do hardly anything in the grand scheme of killing the reaper damage-wise, and it eats up 7 rolls (22, if you go for Vandelier!) which is a hefty price to pay when you need all those rolls to hit the perfect outcome for 6 or 7 of your slots, and on a time-crunch to boot. After quite a few failed attempts just to missing 1 or 2 levels in Song of Mana or cats dmg, I started banishing Peachone the first reasonable chance I got and I can say, it removed *so* much variation. I can now reliably get to all required items and waiting at Empty Tome for the last passive by the hard 8 minute spawn, which makes for many more attempts. I only needed 2 or 3 attempts to get the hang of glorious moon timing and then had a 192 and a 199 run (frustrating!) but now am sitting on the aforementioned successful attempt, at lvl 208. Overall, thank you for the brilliant guide and all your effort on it!
Just go to milk level and kill the green reaper with a minecart. He has a 1% chance to spawn at start, and a bigger chance to spawn at 8 mins and 12 mins. Don't level up luck. Then rpess down arrow (not s) and enter at same time right after. Don't do that blue reaper shenanigan.
This game can be broken so many ways, but I think if they try and over balance that out it will take away the magic of it the whole experience. the crazy stacks you can do and the manipulation of the mechanics is to me what makes it work, and there is a progression to get to the point where you can become the ascended god of all survivors.
SkullOManiac only helps if you can also kill the enemies as fast as prior. Since cats - in this old version pre cat nerf - are the main source of damage and they are stationary, you are not getting more kills since the enemies can only fill the screen, they cant stack. And that will also lead to less cat fights, so it not only doesn't improve it, but it hurts the XP gain. I'd advise to watch the pinned guide (in the pinned comment), video looks long but is only about 10 mins

Also, you said that it would take roughly 5000 reapers to get past G in terms of damage. Would it be possible to massively over-level so that each reaper had more health, or would there be drawbacks that would make it simply not worth it?
If you wanna go over G damage maybe you should do a run where you try to get as high level as possible. If the reapers have more health you can hit more of them at once.
Doesn't sadly make a big difference. At twice the level the Reaper would have 400M HP. Still 2.5k to kill or in other words 2500 minutes. And there is no one even getting remotely close to that level or even breaking 300 on top level characters that don't have to take armor/hollow heart/whip
Toastie is going to feel the nerf hammer sooner or later :'D Once I get the latest update when I'm not lazy, definitely going to try this way to kill the Death instead of the table and stuff.
Toastie isn't as much of a problem, takes a lot of effort to level and can still be killed by just cranking the enemy damage a bit higher if need be (let alone differently coded instant kills or the like). The far greater issue is the cat scuffle's hitbox timer of 30ms which is completely absurd compared to other weapons, for all its brokenness with Arcanas La Borra puddles still only hit once every 500ms.
Welcome Asmongold fans! After watching Asmon continuously struggle ( he is learning though) its time to enjoy this expert content from one of the best Vampire Survivor players.
To be fair, Asmon is not a mechanically super skilled player and that's not meant as insult, he says that himself. But he is insanely entertaining. I played WoW for like 1-2 months 10 years ago, but I know so much about the lore due to him and his reaction videos to other WoW-content videos. His insights are usually quite in-depth and impressive

(which I cant wait to see ) as he talked about it at the end of his last video, which is why I think some of his fans will probably come here out of newfound interest in the game. Now that this exists, Asmon could attempt it. Lv2 cheese is bound to be easier and more practical, but 30min of your character idling in a giant silver pixel would be very poor streaming content. Surviving with Toastie in general is very high blood pressure streaming content! Though a high number of failures can make it very rage-inducing content, and reset farming sucks to stream.
Hi :) i Justo killed the reaper in 135 minutes. It’s funny that i get twice to lv 204, but the 1st time i didnt use armor and tiragisu, and get killed kinda fast in 10 minutes by the reapers.
Thx for the guide. Took me a while to figure out that I needed max Curse from the power-ups. Soon as I fixed that it only took a few tries. Although I had to only use 6 passives, I did it without Clover.
@Dex, I did this with exact same build but wanted to try instead of armor to get pumarola for garlic evo and extra heal. For arcanas i had the Awake, Boogaloo of Illusions and Sarabande of Healing again for max heal. I was so happy when i finally managed, however i see that even though i stay alive for a long time i get considerably more damage than you. Im at 35 mins atm and have around 30% health. So i wonder, is the 5 armor you get from the passive on top of the 65k at level 200 realy make the difference? Or did some patch changed something?
the armor makes all the difference. once you get awake every death gives you +1 armor plus the 5 armor from the sub weapon. so you can get a total of 11 armor from deaths and the sub weapon making the reapers do 1 damage to you instead of much more. when you have 20+ reapers attacking you it makes a huge deal with them doing 1 damage compared to how much they do without the armor. the strat isnt possible without the armor.

What about using the box to increase damage and xp as a 5th slot? I've done a different strategy and I needed both the skull and the box opened to reach 200
what was your lvl right before minute 29? i had the same problem for a while. then i experimented with different starters (always song, but i banished peachone and went for double gun with spinach instead of clover). entering wave 29 with lvl 160 worked for me. dex said usually you get 20+ lvls on the first blast off and around 30 on the second.
I really don't understand what i'm doing wrong ... is passive armor really that important ? First time today i get to 200 with this build i change only Garlic for F.Wand and Armor for Spinach to have more damage, i finish in lv 224 so i think the Death was to Strong, i die on minute 39 without killing the Reaper, second time just now i take Garlic and Pumarrola instead of Armor and die on min 35 ... i evolve garlic and change the duration Spells for the healing one, maybe was because of this ? On the first run with the Hellfire i was very sad also :/ heeeeeelp ... And also great guide, thx for the content :).
Armor is mandatory dude. If you don’t take armor you take 5 dmg from the reaper, with full armor it deals almost 0 dmg to you. So don’t miss on that armor next time!
No changes, you can alter it though. E.g. Instead of picking up Candelabrador you could keep Tiragisu just to help out with dying before 100. But I am not sure how much the loss in Area would affect XP gathering later

Hi dex maybe you should make a tier list of weapons and if you should evolution them(iirc u said runetracer evolution is bad so maybe making a video about it will help new players)
I was very confused when I first started playing and tried researching what items were and weren't recommended, and being very confused as to why people hated Garlic, Runetracer) and didn't recommend many of the characters, and then I realized it's because of how quickly substantial game updates have been coming in at. I mean, even the cats have completely chanted the meta, which is very cool. He could make one and update it every time they released a new character or weapon if he wanted to
Actually right now, there is no need to go a single build anymore. just go what you like and you will still reach 30min somehow.
Ofc some weapons are stronger than other, but it is not required anymore.
In this game an S tier weapon is a weapon that you have the most fun with

Great guide, I finally managed to kill death. Took me 116 minutes though instead of your 90 and I was level 210.
What is your cats damage btw? Im level 206 with this exact build but no single reaper kill at 200 minutes. My cats deals around 100-150 damage if im not mistaken. I give up after its taking too long and my pc its starting to lag.

Just to point out, i killed green reaper and drowner with roseries on magna map, didnt unlock toasty. Guess it needs to be tower for those that havent done it as of this update.

i think speed arcana breaks vandalier.
it seems like it struggles to hit enemies, and sometimes i have it not hit enemies at all.
both speed over 100% and cooldown over 50% break vandalier

I did this with the knife throwing guy. Armor+LifeReg+LifeLeech w/ increase attack rate pretty much make you unkillable and you can go afk for a few days

What's funny is when I killed Red Death, I didn't have a Clock Lancet, I just got lucky with his positioning and getting stuck on the furniture and killed the first one by the time the 4th one spawned to finally kill me because the 2nd and 3rd one's got stuck as well!
theoretically you could out scale the reaper and one shot it if you sat there long enough, since you are stuck at 210 the reapers health wouldn't go up anymore but all the pickups would give you infinite damage

I've been running Library for 2 days (going on 3 now) for world record and my cats do aroun 11.5k dmg per tick right now at minute 2800. Reapers have 665k hp x your level so no, you will never be able to one shot a reaper or yes technically you could if you played for more than a year. Btw cats just got nerfed so this is 20x harder now.

This might be a slower start than your optimal build,. but for those of us who can't dodge well enough to not use up our revives at the very beginning, how about this somewhat slower method...
Swap out Duplicator for Skull o'mania for a run that doesn't use maxed out Curse upgrades. Yeah waves start lesser but hypothetically once you've got the initial weapons setup you can then go for skull o'mania as your final passive BEFORE you nab the free Empty tomes to increase enemy numbers per wave.

I was incorrect, you can fit Curse in as the important passives will still fit the six slots with Curse:
Armor, Candelabrador, Hollow Heart, Clover, Crown, Tiragisu and Skull o'mania once Tiragisu gets empitied.
You could try. In general I would avoid upgrading song of mana though. Knockback area will be too big, keeping too many ennemies off screen. At least it's been my experience.

I managed to reach 198 after fucking up the Gogeous Moon evolution timing, froze the Reaper and manually picked up gems to reach 200. Kills: 72208
Got the first Reaper kill at 125 min. Cat Damage was about 650.

One question! So... if you become immortal at the end of the game like this... you'd probably have to QUIT out of the game. Does that mean the reaper kill still "counts" for the achievement and for getting red death?
Yea, the moment you get the first one it counts already :) Just make sure to quit for it to register, don't Alt+F4
Pressing the quit button is equivalent to dying, so you're good.
yes, that applies to anything. So if you hit level 99 with a character before 30 or hit level 7 with an item for unlocks, you can quit out without fear.

well just sorta did this sorta easy. if all that's needed is the black heart, whip, and cats. Getting the skull to increase amount of enemies is a HUGE help to get to lvl 200. then it's smooth sailing from there. as long as your damage output is there at least to just kinda wreck through the enemies. even having absorb orb isn't bad for like lvl 2. enough to get xp but not enough to always absorb chicken. mix with santa water for just more damage output at end. can easily get that to be 1G damage alone. I'll mess around with some builds and stuff for this same sorta run but maybe not rely on the penta for the lvl up near end, nailing biting experience honestly. i'll update with reply if i find a strat or item combo that maybe gets to lvl 200 more reliably. Cause let's face it, if you're healing it outdoing the damage, it doesn't matter how long it takes to kill a death at that point as long as it does die. maybe garlic evolve could work out on forest even. I know i've gotten beyond lvl 200 on that stage a few times.
The beyond 200 on normal chars is no problem. Level 250+ is commonly done on level builds, even reaching 270. The problem is doing it on this char.
Give it a go and evaluate how reliable it would be for a guide :p
And no you need all the armor as well. The passive and from dying 6 times. Skull doesn't help as much as you might think because your damage is really low on a screen scale

Heyhey, i used your build and the gorgeous moon timings really helped alot to reach 200. I exchanged clover with spinach though because u can infinitely pick up clovers from the ground anyway. and didn't use garlic so i picked up fire wand instead. Currently 2400 minutes in XD
i never get a single clover drop from candles lol
After about a week of trying this i finally got over level 200 but i couldn't kill a reaper. I let the game run for over 12 hours, there were so many reapers that the game couldn't keep track of time anymore; It thought 12 hours was around 7.5. In a 448 minute run, my cats only did 21.4G damage at 798k DPS and my kill counter never ticked up past the 30 minute mark. I don't know what i could have done differently. You had 28 more chickens than i did but i don't see how 28 chickens makes such a difference in the damage. Your cats were hitting for over 2k, mine were only hitting for around 260.
Chickens are not shown, the shown chickens are level ups.
Lag severely cuts down damage since e.g. 1 FPS means you deal 33 times less damage.

the hardest thing is really to get song of mana and cats + tiragisu early, I only ever get one of them before 10min

One thing I would change in this guide is to just immediately forego birds by banishing Peachone the first chance I don't get a semi-rare item. My reasoning is that (like you mentioned in the video) it doesn't do hardly anything in the grand scheme of killing the reaper damage-wise, and it eats up 7 rolls (22, if you go for Vandelier!) which is a hefty price to pay when you need all those rolls to hit the perfect outcome for 6 or 7 of your slots, and on a time-crunch to boot.
After quite a few failed attempts just to missing 1 or 2 levels in Song of Mana or cats dmg, I started banishing Peachone the first reasonable chance I got and I can say, it removed *so* much variation. I can now reliably get to all required items and waiting at Empty Tome for the last passive by the hard 8 minute spawn, which makes for many more attempts. I only needed 2 or 3 attempts to get the hang of glorious moon timing and then had a 192 and a 199 run (frustrating!) but now am sitting on the aforementioned successful attempt, at lvl 208.
Overall, thank you for the brilliant guide and all your effort on it!

Just go to milk level and kill the green reaper with a minecart. He has a 1% chance to spawn at start, and a bigger chance to spawn at 8 mins and 12 mins. Don't level up luck. Then rpess down arrow (not s) and enter at same time right after. Don't do that blue reaper shenanigan.

This game can be broken so many ways, but I think if they try and over balance that out it will take away the magic of it the whole experience. the crazy stacks you can do and the manipulation of the mechanics is to me what makes it work, and there is a progression to get to the point where you can become the ascended god of all survivors.

Good guide. One question, why do we want to have the duplicator? Wouldn't replacing it with Skull o'manic help us level up faster?
SkullOManiac only helps if you can also kill the enemies as fast as prior. Since cats - in this old version pre cat nerf - are the main source of damage and they are stationary, you are not getting more kills since the enemies can only fill the screen, they cant stack. And that will also lead to less cat fights, so it not only doesn't improve it, but it hurts the XP gain. I'd advise to watch the pinned guide (in the pinned comment), video looks long but is only about 10 mins

Also, you said that it would take roughly 5000 reapers to get past G in terms of damage. Would it be possible to massively over-level so that each reaper had more health, or would there be drawbacks that would make it simply not worth it?
Higher levels don't increase dps, so it would take the same amount of time. The only difference would be a lower kill count.
If you wanna go over G damage maybe you should do a run where you try to get as high level as possible. If the reapers have more health you can hit more of them at once.
Doesn't sadly make a big difference. At twice the level the Reaper would have 400M HP. Still 2.5k to kill or in other words 2500 minutes. And there is no one even getting remotely close to that level or even breaking 300 on top level characters that don't have to take armor/hollow heart/whip
Reaper kill seemed pretty easy with lancet and laurel. Not really sure i even needed the laurel. Just maxed out lancet

Once I get the latest update when I'm not lazy, definitely going to try this way to kill the Death instead of the table and stuff.
Toastie isn't as much of a problem, takes a lot of effort to level and can still be killed by just cranking the enemy damage a bit higher if need be (let alone differently coded instant kills or the like). The far greater issue is the cat scuffle's hitbox timer of 30ms which is completely absurd compared to other weapons, for all its brokenness with Arcanas La Borra puddles still only hit once every 500ms.

To be fair, Asmon is not a mechanically super skilled player and that's not meant as insult, he says that himself. But he is insanely entertaining. I played WoW for like 1-2 months 10 years ago, but I know so much about the lore due to him and his reaction videos to other WoW-content videos. His insights are usually quite in-depth and impressive

Now that this exists, Asmon could attempt it. Lv2 cheese is bound to be easier and more practical, but 30min of your character idling in a giant silver pixel would be very poor streaming content. Surviving with Toastie in general is very high blood pressure streaming content!
Though a high number of failures can make it very rage-inducing content, and reset farming sucks to stream.
Hi :) i Justo killed the reaper in 135 minutes. It’s funny that i get twice to lv 204, but the 1st time i didnt use armor and tiragisu, and get killed kinda fast in 10 minutes by the reapers.
Thx for the guide. Took me a while to figure out that I needed max Curse from the power-ups. Soon as I fixed that it only took a few tries. Although I had to only use 6 passives, I did it without Clover.
I do wonder how, pummarola and souleater compare to armor, with double healing arcana

@Dex, I did this with exact same build but wanted to try instead of armor to get pumarola for garlic evo and extra heal. For arcanas i had the Awake, Boogaloo of Illusions and Sarabande of Healing again for max heal. I was so happy when i finally managed, however i see that even though i stay alive for a long time i get considerably more damage than you. Im at 35 mins atm and have around 30% health. So i wonder, is the 5 armor you get from the passive on top of the 65k at level 200 realy make the difference? Or did some patch changed something?
the armor makes all the difference. once you get awake every death gives you +1 armor plus the 5 armor from the sub weapon. so you can get a total of 11 armor from deaths and the sub weapon making the reapers do 1 damage to you instead of much more. when you have 20+ reapers attacking you it makes a huge deal with them doing 1 damage compared to how much they do without the armor. the strat isnt possible without the armor.

What about using the box to increase damage and xp as a 5th slot? I've done a different strategy and I needed both the skull and the box opened to reach 200

what was your lvl right before minute 29? i had the same problem for a while. then i experimented with different starters (always song, but i banished peachone and went for double gun with spinach instead of clover). entering wave 29 with lvl 160 worked for me. dex said usually you get 20+ lvls on the first blast off and around 30 on the second.

I really don't understand what i'm doing wrong ... is passive armor really that important ? First time today i get to 200 with this build i change only Garlic for F.Wand and Armor for Spinach to have more damage, i finish in lv 224 so i think the Death was to Strong, i die on minute 39 without killing the Reaper, second time just now i take Garlic and Pumarrola instead of Armor and die on min 35 ... i evolve garlic and change the duration Spells for the healing one, maybe was because of this ? On the first run with the Hellfire i was very sad also :/ heeeeeelp ...

Armor is mandatory dude. If you don’t take armor you take 5 dmg from the reaper, with full armor it deals almost 0 dmg to you. So don’t miss on that armor next time!
Also you need to die 6 times with awake arcana to take 6 more armor from there as well

No changes, you can alter it though. E.g. Instead of picking up Candelabrador you could keep Tiragisu just to help out with dying before 100. But I am not sure how much the loss in Area would affect XP gathering later
