God works miracles, the Joseph pharaoh was Hyksos, a Semitic people group that had recently conquered lower Egypt. When the Hyksos got kicked out by upper Egypt, it totally makes sense that that new pharaoh, who wasn’t semetic, would view the 12 tribes with suspicion. Point # 1. You did not provide evidence that the mural prettying the Semites migrating into Egypt were the Hebrews ! There were various Asiatic Semite groups in Egypt. For example this could have been the Hyksos migrating into Egypt, or many other Canaanite ethnic groups. Your contention is rather speculative. Point # 2. Colorful clothing was typical of Asiatic Semitic People. This is emphatically no definitive evidence to support the idea that these Asiatic Semites were Hebrews (or was Joseph). Regarding Point 1: The Brooklyn papyrus contains a list of slaves/servants with Hebrew (not merely Semitic) names living in Egypt at the relevant time period
Dear @@mbb-- Hello !! There are some problems with the Brooklyn Papyrus that leaves it a little more questionable than some make it to be. 1. Provenance, We do not know when the scroll was found, so we do not have a situation were it was found in situ. It was purchased by Charles Edwin Wilbour in the late 1800s, and eventually donated to the Brooklyn Museum in New York City. The scroll is dated around 450 BC, which is well over 1000 after the Hebrews entered Egypt. However, the text portrays a style that is consistent with Middle Kingdom (1809-1743 BC). It could be that this is a 4 th century BC copy of an earlier Middle Kingdom Composition. So just how authentic the copy is, is something that we are not certain of. But we can assume it is fairly authentic due to the lack of any evidence questioning its Middle Kingdom authenticity of composition. 2. This manuscript lists the names 95 household servants of Senebtisi. 40 of the names are Asiatic Semitic names. The Hebrew language IS an Asiatic Semitic language and a dialect of Canaanite. The line between Hebrew and Canaanite is kind of blurry. It could be argued that 16 of these names could be actual Hebrew names, because we find some similar names in the Scriptures or Hebrew/Jewish writings. This identification can not objectively be considered as definitive (as some claim), but is a very viable possibility. We don't have an exhaustive list of Asiatic Semitic or Canaanite names, to know if these 16 names that could be Hebrew names are common to other Asiatic Semitic ethnic groups. 3. Lets assume that the Brooklyn Papyrus is authentic to the Middle Kingdom (very good probability), and the the 16 names that could be identified as Hebrew names, are actually Hebrew names and not common names used of other Asiatic Semitic ethnicities (a very viable possibility, but difficult to objectively prove), even so, these considerations do not strongly support the idea that the Asiatic Semites depicted in the mural displayed in Turek's video, are necessarily the Hebrews moving into Egypt. The Asiatic Semites depicted in the mural could be any number of Asiatic Semites that entered Egypt during the Middle Kingdom. As I said the mural could be the Hyksos or any other Asiatic Semite group entering Egypt at that time. I agree with Turek that this mural (and I would include the Brooklyn Papyrus) is one of the many pieces of circumstantial evidence that that together provides a good probability that the Hebrews were actually. living in Egypt. Any one of these points of circumstantial evidence is not very convincing, nor definitive as evidence of the presence of the Hebrews in Egypt, but I think the cumulative presence of many points of circumstantial evidence, all together, builds a stronger case - each being a piece of the puzzle, making a picture more identifiable. One board doesn't build a house to live in. Be Well, DZ
The biblical times for the exodus are correct for obvious reasons Academia have it wrong. Always have, and will continue to be wrong until they align with the biblical texts .
I think you have let your enthusiasm run a bit rampant here, leading you to overinterpret the evidence to support your contention. Many of the problems you have stem from you assuming that "Semitic" = Hebrew, but it doesn't have to at all. What is a Hebrew? How would you identify one in Egypt? What sets them apart in terms of surviving archaeological and literary evidence from related Semitic peoples like the Canaanites (their ancestors), the Phoenicians (their cousins), Moabites, etc.? You don't answer this at all and just assume that if there is a Semitic name or representation of Semitic people in Egypt, that they are Hebrews. Where there Semitic speaking peoples from the Levant settled in Egypt? Certainly, and they had been since before even Egypt was a unified state back in the 4th millennium BC, but no evidence of recognizably Hebrew people living in Egypt before Dynasty 26 (when there was a temple of Yahweh and Hebrew mercenaries settled on the island of Elephantine). Some specific problems I noted: 3:22 Khnumhotep II was not a pharaoh, but a local governor ("Nomarch") who served during the reigns of King Amenemhat II and King Senwasret II (Dynasty 12). The painting has date on it of Regnal Year 6 of King Senwasret II (who reigned circa 1897-1878 BC); RY6 would be c. 1891 BC. For info on the scene, see the article by Janice Kamrin ("The Aamu of Shu in the tomb of Khnumhotep II at Beni Hassan," Journal of Ancient Egyptian Interconnections 1:3, pp. 26-36; DOI:10.2458/azu_jaei_v01i3_kamrin ). 4:35 The tomb of Khnumhotep II (Beni Hassan 3) was not discovered in 1964. Percy Newberry 1st published it in 1893 (Beni Hasan, Part 1; Kegan Paul, Trench, Tubner, & Co.). 4:43 Depictions of Semitic peoples in Egypt are found throughout Egyptian history, both before and after this. 6:10 "They" did not find scarabs with the name "Jacob-El" but rather King Mery-user-Re Yaʿqub-Har (Yaʿqub = Jacob of course), the name of one of the so-called Hyksos kings of Dynasty 14 (less likely) or 15 (more likely); Dyn. 15 dates to c. 1650-1550 BC. (For discussion, see The Second Intermediate Period (Thirteenth-Seventeenth Dynasties): Current research, future prospects, edited by Marcel Marée. Orientalia lovaniensia analecta 192, esp. pp 91-126.) None of the scarabs you use to illustrate this actually has the name of Yaꜥqub-Har. The word "El" ("god") is not present, and the Semitic name Yaʿqub is not particularly rare, even in the Middle Bronze Age. The Hyksos were not Hebrews, but Canaanites, originally from Lebanon (around Byblos) who came to Egypt as mercenaries beginning during the reign of Amenemhat I, but later from Palestine. Texts from Egypt indicate they worshipped a form of Baal, as well as some Egyptian gods. (See the work of the Austrian archaeological mission to the Delta city of Avaris for this.) 10:55 Papyrus Brooklyn 35.1446 lists many Northwest Semitic names, all of them Canaanite. Hebrew did not yet exist as a distinct, recognizable language in the Middle Bronze Age and only appears in the Iron Age; this is like claiming the ancient Romans spoke Italian or Spanish. (Canaanite is the ancestral language of Hebrew, Phoenician, Moabite, Edomite, and Ammonite, like Latin is to Spanish, Italian, etc.) It is not at all unexpected for Canaanite names to be used later in Hebrew (and Phoenician, etc.) similar to how some modern English names might stem from Anglo-Saxon, and most of the people listed as slaves are working for a private estate, primarily as weavers. For the papyrus, see Hayes, William Christopher. 1977. A papyrus of the late Middle Kingdom in the Brooklyn Museum [Papyrus Brooklyn 35.1446]. 2nd ed. Wilbour Monographs 5. Brooklyn: The Brooklyn Museum; the names are studied in Schneider, Thomas. 2003. Ausländer in Ägypten während des Mittleren Reiches und der Hyksoszeit. Volume 2: Die ausländische Bevölkerung. Ägypten und Altes Testament 42/2. Wiesbaden: Harrassowitz Verlag. 15:58 The tomb of Rekhmire [Theban Tomb 100] shows ***Egyptian*** workmen making bricks, not Canaanite nor Hebrew slaves. There is an supervisor with a stick at the bottom right of the scene, but no one is being "abused". Further, while the Egyptians certainly had slaves, they did not "rely on slave labor for their vast construction projects" as you claim, nor was their slavery particularly "race-based" but usually the result of foreign prisoners of war, as well as criminals from within Egypt, being put to work. When the Nile was inundating the fields every year and farm work was not possible, the men performed other tasks for the state, such as brickmaking, though of course there were some year-round specialists as well. 17:20 Brickmaking quotas are not exactly unexpected in a highly centralized, bureaucratic state. There are loads of similar administrative documents for all sorts of products. 32:00 The Abomination of Ipuwer is a typical example of an Egyptian genre of "pessimistic" literature describing the world were all standards have been reversed until the king of Egypt can set things back to rightness (what the Egyptians called ma'at, divine order). Other examples include the Prophecy of Neferty and (much later) the Oracle of the Lamb, but there are many others. In the case of Papyrus Leiden I 344 recto (the Ipuwer papyrus), the text is not securely dated other than being written in Middle Egyptian. According R. Emmarch, who has studied the text quite extenively in his book (A world upturned: Commentary on and analysis of The dialogue of Ipuwer and the Lord of All [British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship Monographs. Oxford and New York: The British Academy and Oxford University Press, 2008]) and is the leading expert on it, writes "literary evidence does not provide a secure dating for the poem, but it is compatible with the suggestion from linguistic and lexicographical evidence that it is relatively late, dating from Senwosret III to the late Second Intermediate Period. No secure evidence points to a later date" (p. 24). In terms of the events it describes, he writes "if the poem had any historicizing setting, it is perhaps most likely to have been in the First Intermediate Period. Whatever setting it may have had, however, it is likely that the poem, like much Egyptian literature, uses poetic licence (perhaps based on historical models) to provide an arena for discourse on topics that were relevant to the time of its composition" (p. 36). You can see the same approach in the Prophecy of Neferty. One thing that is true is that the writers of the Exodus and Joseph narratives did indeed have knowledge of Egypt; this is not really debated. However, the question is when did they write, and it does not seem to be at the time the events are supposed to take place. For example, in the Joseph narrative, "Potiphar" is clearly from the Egyptian name Pa-di-pa-Re", lit. "he whom the Sun/Re gave", a common Late Egyptian (dialect) name of a type (Pa-di + god's name) found during the Third Intermediate Period and especially the Late Period, both of which are in the Iron Age/1st millennium BC. In Exodus, the city of Tanis is mentioned, but Tanis did not exist before Dynasty 21 and was the capitol of Egypt during Dynasties 21 and 22 (again, Iron Age, 1st millennium), and still important afterwards, long after when most people want to date the Exodus. Personally, I don't believe religious faith should need "proof" from archaeology. Believe or not. Who cares what the Egyptians wrote?
Reminder that the early Exodus date has been debunked by Egyptologists and bible scholars dozens and dozens of times and apologists just ignore it and continue to post the same debunked "evidences" assuming their viewers won't fact check them.
Just thought I'd let you know that I used to follow you and other apologists all the time and I love what you all brought. i have evidence (speculative but evidence...). and turn around advertising course you just selling courses? 1470s BC some papyrus said darkness so your conclusion is "god did it" instead of doing a exact calculation of eclipse if that was true or not. oh you heard darkness in middle of the day was kind of a thing and still is a thing? type of "clothing" sound flashy so this painting fits the narrative of the bible. instead of when was it painted or what purpose was painting etc? some dudes bro died so a extremely political identity like a pharaoh(king) would try to memorate his brothers death in secret? even if there are other royalties and nobles that would turn on any sign of weakness? archeology is an extremely specialized field. it is not just digging and looking at painting or "one" document. it is cross referencing field of various studies. what you did is literally read exodus in different translation(english) then pointed one(fragment) document. here here said dark and pointed to few Egyptian god when there are like 50 different gods and version and what you mentioned is not even major 10. where is Horus or nephalia or other major themed gods?
Okay, you should follow that up with "does anyone care?" So let me guess captain 🫡 America 🇺🇸, you'd like Christians to suffer through another crying snow❄️flake episode with ya! Life must be a struggle with cds & tds, huh Eason?
I don't have enough evidence to be a pseudoscience believer that man has evolved from a common apelike ancestor, alongside 🦍. Ohhhh, hold tight, do you even "believe that" Eason! I also didn't have enough evidence to believe I should have taken an experimental, pseudoscience 💉, I'd bet YOU did though, huh Eason! So essentially, no one really cares, Eason....
@@T0Mmichael1234fascinating that I abide by actual science and you don’t. You can believe in whatever creationist website/video you want…but that doesn’t have any bearing on the science.
It is YHWH. We don't even know the correct way to pronounce the tetragram because ancient Hebrew was dying out in the time of Ezra, today we are just guessing how it is spoken. Also they didn't have vowels. Jehovah is a relatively newer way, historically speaking, to substitute the name of the LORD. But there is only one name under the heavens and on the Earth that saves, that is Jesus Christ.
Jehovah isn’t even his name, that’s a transliteration. They superimposed the word YHWH with a latinized version of the Hebrew word for lord. This is foolishness, my God, the god of Abraham and Paul and Peter can speak to our hearts, and is smart enough to know his children regardless of what language they speak(hello pentacost) the ancient Jews didn’t even say his name..was God confused about who they were talking too?? What’s next, are you going to insist we call Jesus Yeshua? Foolishness

King Tut was the first born of Pharoah, King Tut was found in a Pharoah's tomb. Pharoah was drowned in the Red Sea, Psalm 136:15. 🤔🤔🤔
It doesn't say that pharaoh himself was killed. It means he overthrew "the power" of pharaoh in the sea. Says overthrew not swept.
Some specific problems I noted:
3:22 Khnumhotep II was not a pharaoh, but a local governor ("Nomarch") who served during the reigns of King Amenemhat II and King Senwasret II (Dynasty 12).
(See the work of the Austrian archaeological mission to the Delta city of Avaris for this.)
10:55 Papyrus Brooklyn 35.1446 lists many Northwest Semitic names, all of them Canaanite.
Don't the Arabs have Mt. Sinai under armed Guard?
Mt. Sinai (biblical) is the summer solstice in the Cancer constellation. The Greeks called it Mt. Olympus.

It's actually recorded that Moses met face to face with God as friends do in the tent of Meeting.

1) 1446 date is wrong. 480 is a symbolic number. (40 x 12)
2) 400 years is also symbolic (40 x 10)
There are endless problems in this video…
Its not symbolic. Your saying God lied
@ no, I’m looking at it in the context it was written 🙄
The Bible is full of symbolism.
@@YAHWEH-YESHUA-MINISTRIES Was God lying in Luke 2:1, or did they do a census in Argentina and Australia?
Symbolic or literal? I would consider that is the right date.

If you only would say His right name - JEHOVAH. And sir, if you take your reward from people, God will not give you one.
Foolishness
@mccalltrader yes. Yeshua is his name. Yahweh is his name.
Actually the word He said to moses was "ehyeh"
