Can you guys do a troubleshooting video on the quick tension system? Have watched all your content and I really want to love the quick tension system but I swear it jams and is very hard to tighten or loosen! Surely it can’t be this hard to use this tension system.
hello, I like the presentation, the engineer at the Stihl store told me to rotate the blade every 2 sharpenings of the chain to keep the blade in an even state of wear, of course it is some work when you are in a hurry but I rotate the blade every finished wood truck (somewhere around 4 cubic meters of hardwood.)
Love your's videos. You are a real instructor, because of you, i purchase a FS91r string trimmer. Love it, always I use Stihl HP ultra oil and 93 octane gas.
My new ms 182 is a run once a day saw really sucks whenever you need to use it after it’s turned off it’ll run but dies once trying to power it up vary disappointed with the new line up my 170 ran for over 15 years without a problem it’s sad the pore quality you have to choose from
They’ve been using this quick chain adjuster for over 20 years. Many people find it handy that they do not have to have a tool with them at all times agree or disagree that’s part of the allure

Good point. Bar rotation is key to maximizing bar life

So it runs fine until you shut it off? This is not something we’ve faced yet but I am sure Stihl and your local dealer can resolve it
I don’t like that chain tension system. I get what they were trying to do… but they didn’t really make it easier. They made it harder really.

These new 162/182s are overweight underpowered junk. My old MS180 is good little saw and almost 2 lbs lighter.
The 180 is a great saw
Have you ran a new 182 yet?
