It is hard. People who work in the sciences don't do it for well paying and stable careers. That said, there's work in academia, government, or the private industry. Academia is your best bet and portal to government or private industry, but you'll be treated like a slave for a decade before you see a meaningful paycheck, so you better have another means of income if you want to own a home. Government hires from Academia, so that's your best bet for a real job but you need the masters at least or a PhD. Same goes for private industry, for example Oceanx is a private enterprise funded by the whims of a playboy, James Cameron. These people are often stupid and narcissistic, the kind of dingdongs who want to create their own utopia and can pull funding at any time. That said Cameron's Oceanx seems to have been around for a long time, employs a lot of people, and partners with a lot of global scientific agencies. Other than working with Oceanx private marine biology jobs that pay well might involve stamping, "yes this won't hurt the ocean" on projects for the oil industry, or earning a minimum viable income at an aquarium. It's brutally difficult to earn a capitalist income from studying the ocean, that's why marine biologists throughout history have been the sons and daughters of rich families.
@@meditatingstuffOf course I do what I want and lack of money won't stop me from loving marine biology and pursuing a career. I'm just curious to hear from other people who are on the same path. I appreciate your response tho
I love planet Earth so much! If only every human may be grateful for all the beauty Earth contains!
This is amazing. Love the seal at the beginning (gorgeous and graceful!) and the deep sea octopus is out of the world cool!

I want to become a marine biologist but I heard that getting a job after graduating is very hard. Anyone has experience with this?

Really interesting video but truly weird music bed. Really odd and bad.
Music works well. The ocean is deep and mysterious, but very beautiful.
