    i don't support greenpeace for their sometimes terrorist like activities.
    but we should be careful with the Artic since it's the only largely untouched place in the world.

      yeah they put large rocks in fishing waters so if a ship wants to fish there it sinks. things like that.

    • @BAlvn-yr6ej
      @BAlvn-yr6ej 6 лет назад +2

      did you know that nobody actually knows the age of the Egyptian pyramids? they are very likely way older than the commonly accepted figures, which were based on the flimsiest of evidence you could ever imagine..really, look it up. people will believe anything if someone in a white jacket says it.

    • @chec8timi355
      @chec8timi355 6 лет назад

      People won’t beleive if one person in a white jacket says it but if 85% of the people in a white jacket says it they’ll probably beleive it except if they’re a person in a white jacket that’s in the other 15%

      lol...yeah, there's always argument in the "ivory towers" but....but by the time it trickles down to PBS, Popular Science Magazine, and school textbooks all kinds of theories are simply presented as "truth" and that's what people accept... Until it is changed.
      I've seen a lot of stuff change since I was in elementary school in the 1970s and I'm sure you could think of a few yourself, no? The United States Government, maybe the richest organization in the history of mankind, with probably 50 or 100,000 scientists working for it cannot even decide if global warming is "real" or not..this is a great example of what "science" really is.....very often, "truth" goes to the highest bidder or the best connected...
      Anyways, I recently did a bunch of reading on Egyptian history and such, and there really is no solid evidence of when the Pyramids were actually built.

    There are other factors that were discovered and not fully understood of the Earth's own protective electromagnetic field is weakening that is causing the field to have 'fissures' thus allowing more of our Central Sun's heat and radiation through and also we know that polar shifting is real [ wasn't long ago when emergency calibration for all aviation and maritime to adjust the magnetic compass because of the polar shifting that is constant phases of movement ] and has a direct effect on weather patterns and a negative effect upon migratory animals more specially marine life mammals that are beaching themselves in addition to the evidence of the regular exercises by military naval fleets using sonar pinging and DEW sonar that is weaponized.
    Gore and his team including those that truly believe that this global warming and/or climate change is 100% fault of mankind using fossil resources and raising domestic animals primarily cattle and pigs causing green house gases are wrong to say it is all man made; at best it contributes to the bigger discoveries that is not fully understood but is recognized to be the major cause...oh, the ozone hole most likely been there long before mankind even existed as there is NO proof that the ozone was fully intact prior to the discovery and also the hole is constantly changing in size of aperture and location...when false science told the world that it was the chemical aerosols and freon gas?!?

    Boats are incredibly polluting to the environment and sea life , much more so than cars for example. Kinda ironic Greenpeace is using their own... even if it's for studies.

    • @BAlvn-yr6ej
      @BAlvn-yr6ej 6 лет назад +1

      Greenpeace really should switch to electric boats or at least have sails to use when it is windy. While they do good work, I agree that they should be more self-critical. And their representatives are assholes, no question about that...I volunteered (tried to...) one time in my more idealistic days and I was brusquely treated as if i was some kind of beggar and not even thanked or really given the time of day. i have thought poorly of them ever since, but i still think they do important work overall.

    "All of us should care" Sure, sign me up on limiting the fishing so that the prices will go up and fish will only be available for the rich.
    Focus on limiting population growth, is it so hard to understand ?
    That's the reason we are in this mess to begin with.

    • @iamandris
      @iamandris 6 лет назад +4

      Population growth is already a non-issue in the Western world. If it weren't for immigrants, the population would already be in decline.
      If you look at the fertility/replacement rates and UN population projections, regions such as sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia and China are the ones with the most insane projected population growth.
      Only way to stop the growth there would be nuclear genocide or huge pandemics.
      Of course this woulnd't be very nice, would it?

      Why cant we control population growth and protect our oceans at the same time?

    • @BAlvn-yr6ej
      @BAlvn-yr6ej 6 лет назад +2

      Ummm....fish was something traditionally eaten by people who lived near seas, rivers, and lakes. The idea that everyone in the world should eat fish doesn't even make sense, and is a product of our spoiled-ass capitalism programming. you want fish, move to the sea or waterway and catch some. what is wrong with eating what is available? there are starving people all over the place and in the US the government has to "cull" tens (hundreds?) of thousands of wild deer each year (among other animals) that are left to just rot... the human race has become infantile and dependent on "the system" to provide what they fucking want when they fucking want it. well, that can't last.
      i do agree that population is an issue and birth control should be made widely and cheaply available, and kids in 5th grade should be taught the full story about their bodies and choices, Christians/Muslims/Islams/Puritans/Republicans be damned. That would be a great start, wouldn't it? Too hard, apparently...religious scumbags want us all to go down.

    Don't worry, once we can grow our own meat there won't be a need for fishing

    • @BAlvn-yr6ej
      @BAlvn-yr6ej 6 лет назад

      wish that was true but the real reason for a lot of the exploitation of the world's' forests, oceans, etc. (not to mention humanity itself) is the economic system...once a group of people gets signed onto to that, via "development loans" from the World Bank and the like, it is curtains...
      the economic system allows a very small group of people incredible power to suck resources out of even the most remote areas of the world, to harness child labor (just more resources)... there is simply no such thing as "no strings attached" when it comes to money. the US's massive debt is no different than Ghana's, at the end of the day. bad scene.
      it is plain as day but a lot harder to figure out how to dismantle....once the gold standard was ended around 1970 this situation became exponentially worse and it still is snowballing. cryptocurrencies offer a glimmer of hope.

    • @BAlvn-yr6ej
      @BAlvn-yr6ej 6 лет назад

      ah, so my point being that even if people grow their own meat, there will be groups of people that have to find some way to earn money and if they can make money from fishing (or hunting for ivory, mining, cutting down rainforests, collecting endangered 'pets', or whatever else) they will do it out of sheer economic slavery, as is already happening. i mean look at gold mining in the Amazon, how dirty that is, how bad for the miners (many just children too), how bad for the environment, ...and the gold just gets melted into bars and put in safes along with millions of other bars! see what i mean, right?

    Maybe educate and give out free condoms for Africa, so that we fish less, as our population increase so will our hunger. Deal with the issue before it appear, rather than act proactively.
