Hey there! Thanks so much for watching. The main driver in my decision was that I already have a drone, Mavic 3, with advanced features. So the mini series drones I have choses, both the mini 2se and mini 3, are more of the beginner models. I figured these may not have the same bells and whistles but can still offer some great fun! My reason I bought the mini 3 over the mini 3 or 4 pro is over heating packed with all those sensors they can over heat fast no good for the electronics inside them and it could shut the drone down in flight if it gets to hot and the batt life is longer in the mini 3 the camera is the same the range I seen them fly 3 to5 miles Yes they do not have obstacle avoidance but that is not 100 percent it doesnt work for night flying or sport mode small branches powerlines it could still crash and the cost is cheaper for the mini 3 $609.00 and with the new controller and if you need a spare their selling them on ebay just the drone itself for $299.00 new yes I could buy the mini 3 or 4 pro but I have no reason to

I have the Mini 2 SE for a week. I haven't actually flown it due to all the regulations, but I have flown it on the terrace of my home for a total of 10 minutes. I really like the video quality and the photos look good. I hope that during the holidays I will be able to fully enjoy it! I will flight it in the Peloponnese Region, Greece.

Interesting that you use auto for pretty much everything (along with AEB for photos). I see a lot of other drone flyers using ND filters and 1/50th @ 25fps 1/60th @ 30fps to capture motion blur in video.. which I don't think is necessary a lot of the time. Cool stuff!
Couldn’t agree more! Unless it is for a very specific shot those things are unnecessary. Now for my professional work using my DSLR it’s the exact opposite haha
Thanks a lot! I did a long format video on my editing in Lightroom which is an adobe product. I typically will shoot AEB (auto exposure bracketing) in RAW. I then combine images or chose one I like best for the hdr effect. In my video I discuss the specific setting of the hdr edit

Hey! Great question - I somewhat address this in my videos but to explain a little further. My main drone for work is the Mavic 3 which I has pretty much every feature you can ask for. I decided to get the mini 2 se to see what DJI ‘s most budget friendly drone was capable of. I was so impressed by it that I decided to start this RUclips channel on how to take what these entry drones can offer and help teach those who are new or want to learn more about drones. Although I still may buy the mini 4 pro my decision to buy the mini 3 was also motivated by the same interest in reviewing and flying the next level of budget friendly drone. I think a lot of people feel like they’re missing out on so much when not getting the pro versions of these mini drones but my hope is to showcase that these more basic models can still get the job done. Hey there thanks so much for watching! They are the two best budget drones from DJI that is for sure, which is also why I always have a tough time answering this question. If budget is your main priority then I would say the upgrade isn't worth the price difference. Now, I did also buy a refurbished Mini 3 and that so far has acted like a brand new drone. This could be an option for you. The mini 3 does provide a better battery life, 4k and vertical shooting. So far I haven't liked using the vertical shooting as much as I had thought. So for me the biggest upgrade was in the battery life as well as the RC controller with screen. I hope this helps! I would definitely check out some of my mini 2 se footage on a big screen. Still looks amazing and RUclips rates it as UHD so it displays as 4k to viewer.
Great video! I currently have a DJI Mini 2 and I am considering upgrading to either the Mini 4 Pro or the Air 3. I don't think I could go wrong with either one.

Hmm that is such a hard question. If you’re new to drones and photography in general I’d say start with the mini 2 se. If you already love photos/videos and want to ramp up your social media then it can be worth having the vertical shooting and 4K of the mini 3. Hope this helps!
Enjoyed your video. Is there much of a difference in memory card usage shooting in 4k 30 as opposed to 2k 30? Did you noticed any difference in the handling of the mini 3 compared to the 2SE?
Hey! Thanks so much for watching. These are great questions. Yes 4 does take up more space I almost always have a 64-128 gb card in at all times. The mini 2 se didn’t seem to use up as much space but 2.7k will still fill up fast if you use it a lot. The drones handle almost identically. The bigger difference is in battery life in my opinion!
I have question when you first got your mini 3 did you have a hard time trying to connect your screen controller to a wifi internet mine will not connect in order to activate the drone
Hi there! I don’t remember having any issues but definitely be patient with it. I’d turn WiFi on off a bunch and turn controller on and off. Hopefully you will eventually get connected! Have you tried more than one WiFi?
@@The-Drone-Guy No but the WIFI shows up on the screen controller Im useing Cox WIFI just not connecting I might try another WIFI I was able to download a file from the DJI websight into the controller the only thing that changed was it set the correct time and date on the controller still cant connect I will try another WIFI Thanks

@@hallumcreative7577 no way! I spent a few months down there while my wife worked at one of the hospitals at UNC. I hade my phantom 4 still but had so much fun flying it there! Kure beach and Southport were some of my favorite areas
