@@tendring_woodturning Yeah will do, That might be something i try to crack this winter when its just miserable outside. Im always looking for pointers / ideas. Shoot maybe even some sort of collab.
I have thought of using Banksia pods in one of my projects but never got around to it since I can't figure out a good design. But you did an amazing job! It looks amazing!
Thanks very much. I also did a small goblet with Banksia and that came out super cool. In fact if you look at my profile on here I’m pretty sure I used it as my banner. 😊 Unfortunately I did it before my RUclips journey so only took video in vertical. 🙈. I had a lot of response from it though, if that helps, really simple project as well, as long as it doesn’t make you itch like it does me 😂.
@@tendring_woodturning did you just mention itching from Banksia pod or from the resin? I developed awful allergy from using the resin and now I have to use PPE at all times.
@oneturnatatime6309 oh really? That sucks 🙈. No the basksia I meant, there a what I can only describe as a velvet layer, and that makes me itch like mad. I’m good as soon as I get rid of it. 😊
Thanks very much 😊. To get bubble free resin i cure it in a pressure pot at 50-55 psi (I can send links if you like). The bubbles are compressed and cannot be seen by the human eye. I didn’t show the pressure pot in this video but do in others, like this one: ruclips.net/video/hkmFJIureug/видео.htmlsi=W5Q8UCih5rXO8psP Hope that helps and please reach out if you have any questions. 😊

I really love this color you used for the Epoxy. I have yet to try anything with Epoxy just yet. Looks so cool in the holes of this banksia.
Thanks very much and let me know if you need any help if you venture into resin. 😊👍
