FYI: Long-lasting lume is not critical for actual scuba diving. When night-diving, you hold your light directly against the dial for a second to flash the lume, then look. It only needs to last a couple seconds. It's like activating an LED on a digital device.
My brother has one a beautiful blue dial and the lum is amazing set it down at 9:00p. m. And check it at 3:00 am and it looked good. I think you just got a bad one. In regards to the date window it looks good to me. Maybe next time you can measure it and show us what you are looking at. Never the less great video and you got a new subscriber.
Only miles better than the pompous fluff of Watchfinder, which offers no real information but sarcastic puns. Only fools would fall for Watchfinder who is also a watch dealer. He mostly "reviews" if you can call that what he's trying to sell. I call it poetic pimping.
Just again one of the best watch review here. Smart and incredibly well shot. Nobody ever tests lume after 10 minutes, to show the reality of the performance. Just brilliant. To me one of the if not the best channel around horological matters.
I have the black version, I love the different finishes on the case and lugs. Love the two crowns that sparkle light back to your eye. The clasp is solid and has plenty of quick adjust. Great watch especially for the price
I have the same since two days ... with the rubber strap ... it’s a superb watch ... I own some rolex , RO offshore and Girard Perregaux Sea Hawk ... the Seamaster is the best ... it makes you part of the Omega family and a real piece of art on your wrist ! 👌😎
Excellent video! Your pics of the watch actually being worn on a person being shown from a distance that is NOT just a closeup is outstanding. Every video shows it up close, but yours really shows a real life look!
Jesus Christ - I was just searching on your channel hoping to find a review on this model, scrolled down and disappointed not to find one. Then I refresh my homepage and you posted this, guess this is a sign to just fire the trigger and get this one 😆

A great review. Hafiz I’m a subscriber and you are one of the best. The photography is great too. I also appreciate that you stay completely (and sometimes brutally) honest in your comments.
Dude, you are really killing it with the reviews. You are simply the best standalone watch reviewer. Period. By standalone i mean that you only review the watch in front of you. Thanks so much. I guess you might have missed my last comment. I stated that this omega offers value and characters that watches even at two times its price don’t; and I was referring to rolex which is the two times price yet doesn’t offer those characters like exhibition caseback etc.
Hafiz J Mehmood thanks for the great review, I agree that seems hard to find justification for the price requested by Rolex: but what about some critic details on the Seamaster? Does Rolex Sub perform a better luminescence (more visible, more durable)? Does Rolex Sub show a not centred day display? Also what about the added value of a full integrated manufacturer? Congrats again for your great videos!

Hi, it is an excellent presentation. You have mentioned about a history.... So, would you like to do an equal video about the new Longines Spirit collection. This history is packed and a huge horology...
I have this same dial color and love it except for the date just blends into the dial in less than optimal lighting. If I end up selling the watch, that will be the reason why.
Great review and great watch. I have the "Great White" version. I agree on your review, but on the white dial with the black hands version the contrast is great. For me the biggest flaw with this watch is the bezel and the fact that it grips not nice. The steel bracelet is a little bit sharp at the edges and feels not as smooth as a Tudor or Rolex bracelet. The date could be better executed. The date sits too deep and is a little bit too small imho. I also have a black rubber strap but the sizes of the straps are a little odd. The holes on the strap are placed in the wrong places or there are not enough holes, but maybe this has something to do with my wristsize (8.2") and the fact that the standard strap is too short for a dive strap and the XL sized strap is too long. Overall it is a stunning watch that can be bought at a sharp price. For a diver that can be dressed up it is a great watch. There are better tool watches for the price or even cheaper but this Omega has it all. Read a "dressy diver".
@@evh4611 Sinn makes some great watches for its price but you can't compare Sinn with Omega. Sinn uses most of the time cheaper third party movements (ETA or Selita) that are slightly decorated. Omega makes own movements and they are top of the bill in its price range. So the look and finish of sinn watches shows (most of the time) and feels a cheaper watch then an Omega. Overall Sinn makes great watches for the price, so it is a great value for money if you can live with the cheaper movement.
Yet another excellent video my friend.I too have had some reservations about this watch, but it is a handsome and well designed piece.Looking forward to your future productions.Stay safe.
Another great review, detailed but also balanced. I prefer the all blue version on the bracelet. The chrome dial is not for me. The clasp is better than the rolex as it is slimmer and more curved so it has a lower profile on the wrist and slips easier under the cuff. I love it.
I think this was ultimately a very fair review, with one exception - have you ever addressed the lume fade on any of your Rolex pieces? I own a 2012 SmP300M and I've found that its Super-LumiNova is honestly superior to the Rolex Chromalite on my SubC.
Good question. I typically show it when the flaw is worth my time. And I’m doing a comparison of this vs Submariner; which will be live soon. I’ll also do side by side lume fade comparison in that video. Thanks for watching.
Thank you again for all your hard work, Hafiz. Another great in-depth review. Would you consider doing a review of an IWC watch? Since you are close to my own dive watch preference, I would suggest IWC Aquatimer which has been on my radar lately. Obviously, would love to hear what you have to say about it having looked at it under macro ;-)
Hi Hafiz, Thanks for great video review which helped me on my purchase decision . Great contents , Great Macro level coverage & excellent commentary . Truly impressed. I wish your channel all the very best & may you be able to remain consistent in your passion with unbiased reviews . Good Wishes
I used to own in blue, but sold it. I loved it at first, but the charm died quickly, it’s just a bit too busy, too much going on, which gives it a very casual vibe. I don’t miss it (and glad I sold quick as prices will drop even more once a new variant is out). I have a BB GMT now which looks better in the office - more versatile and classy to me. More accurate too (1s slow versus the Omega 4s fast).
That’s the omega problem ... too many variants .. price is too low ... too easy to get ... it’s only a marketing decision ... perhaps it will change in the future because the time piece is so amazing 😉 👍
I own this watch and have seen many reviews. This is truly the most honest and unbiased review I have seen of this watch or any other for that matter. Congrats on this very professional review. That said I completely agree with the all that is said here, however I think the bezel while not the easiest to rotate must never change in design because it one of the main design queues that separates this watch from the rest. The lume on the hour and minute hands I completely agree needs to be improved maybe they can even give it some of the polish treatment they do on the hour markers.
Hi! I just discovered your videos and love them. Is there any chance you remake a submariner + seamaster + seadweller "beyond the obvious" style video? I'd LOVE to see that!
Hi everyone. I have the same exact wrist size (6.5 in) but I always think anything over 40mm is too big to wear, especially when I glance at my wrist. But from this vid, it looks fine, even great actually. How can I overcome this mindset? Currently owning mid size 2551.80.
If this watch had the BALL tritium lumen... oh what an extra beautiful piece it would be. I own this exact model; all I miss about my BALL when I wear this Omega is the Tritium. I work around Electronics and this watch has kept an average +0.6 s/d. This is a great Everday all event watch.
Super review and well complimented the watch for all its pros .. and yes unfortunately all the cons too. Super closing.. super super closing!!! I've seen the watch in the flesh .. that helium escapment..they could have done better 🤫
it is not necesary but it is part of the watch, and i don't think they will remove it. you don't even notice the escape valve, trust me. i have one on black dial, rubber. it is spectacular.
Fantastic review, I made the decision to buy this watch six months after I watched, Watchfinders review Seamaster v Sub mariner, but this review is so much more specific to the omega and reminded me what a great choice I made. I absolutely adore my gorgeous seamaster which I received on St Patrick’s day this year, Haha I’m actually Scottish and the colours of the watch nearly match my country’s saltire 🏴 flag. Once again great review.
It's amazing that something that costs thousands of dollars can not, or will not overcome even minor flaws. For that, you have to pay a significantly higher premium and of course, it's unproportional to what you get. But it's all acceptable. The price of "luxury"...
Can't believe I missed this gem of a video. Thanks, Hafiz. So hey, this is the first I'm hearing about bad lume, kind of disappointing. And yeah my eye gravitates to those matte finished plates, look very base ETA. Still, I'm definitely thinking about having the talk with my wife about purchasing this. Thinking black . Thanks again.
Your reviews are outstanding. I love your take on the watches that I've seen so many others review before. I am in the market for a new diver and am torn between this or the blue dialled version, a Sub 14060 and now, the new SMP 007 edition has added more spice to the mix. I guess part of the fun is all the research and then finally going for (one of) the one(s) you want.
Another fantastic review sir. Thank you so much for making these videos. What is the dive watch that you would recommend from The sub, The Pelagos, The current Seiko Marinemaster 300m or Omega Seamastet?
Great video. I just got the very same watch a couple of weeks ago. It is a very impressive package for the price. There are some legibility issues within the dial, but I can live with that. I don't think this watch is Sub killer. It is the perfect complement for a Sub in any collection despite of what the Omega fanboys say.
Superb review. The dial and the colors on this watch are amazing, but this bezel is just impossible to turn with wet hands. And i really dislike watches with the date window at 6. I prefer the SUB or the SD43
@@Niro_Hero mate, don't get me wrong. I like the watch and I like Omega...i just don't like watches with the date window at 6. The same thing with Santos de Cartier...lovely watch...but the date at 6 is killing me.
Great video man! My 2 cents: Well if you make a dive watch with a difficult bezel to turn, a useless HEV, and hard to read hands and wave dial...well, not sure about it's function/design balance. They need a better watch designer. Another 'Meh' Seamaster generation in my opinion.
The easy way to fix that it's just not call it a dive watch ! Omega should just put a fixed bezel on it take away the name seamaster and BOOM ! GREAT WATCH 😂
Who are using a dive watch as a tool watch ??? Nowadays they all are using computer diving tool watch .... it’s only a very old story ... since a long time nobody use a dive watch as a tool watch 😉😃
@@PepRex I have a 2012 blue wave seamarster it's fantastic but I think omega have gotten the new ones all wrong the strap is to thick it's very industry feel to me and the case is to big I Keep my Golden eye model any day ☺️❤️
Dream i have 1200$ dollars saved ( i am only studnt and saved it for 4 years). The most beautyfall version after rosegold chrono. Steel is better for everyday so i decated to get this over 2 tone
Not to give Omega a pass on the flaws but this line of watch was never meant to be a serious diver. It is a “dressy diver” and more of a rugged fashion piece. The scalloped bezel doomed the bezel action from the beginning. I’m also not a fan of the skeleton hands. I prefer the 57 dna so I have the spectre watch.
@N A silly to shower in one because the steam can cause issues but a lot of people swim and dive in their watches. However I agree this isn’t a great dive watch
Another excellent video Hafiz, thank you. This looks very good value for the money.Probably better to buy on the bracelet and then purchase the impressive rubber strap. That would make financial sense. Take care and stay safe.
Hafiz great review, you don’t know it, but you spoil us with your reviews. Side note. Can you please review the Seiko sbdc 107? I would love to see and hear your take on the watch. Thanks
Quite shocked with the lume quality of the hands. It's a critical for a diver watch, moreover at this price point. By the way, it's a good review. Keep it up brother.
Despite its apparent well built quality, there is something about this watch that I personally think is a bit gaudy and a bit aquaracery. Hafiz’s camera magic could not help in this instance.
FYI: Long-lasting lume is not critical for actual scuba diving. When night-diving, you hold your light directly against the dial for a second to flash the lume, then look. It only needs to last a couple seconds. It's like activating an LED on a digital device.
Watchfinder levels of quality here, with perfectly matched background music and commentary. Another great video!

For diver watches, divers have flashlights to load the Lume. Lume doesn’t need to last forever.
That rubber strap does that timepiece no justice you have to go to the steel band.

Great review, nearly pulled the trigger on the great white version of this but went for Tudor BB58 baby smurf

Another fantastic review sir. Thank you so much for making these videos. What is the dive watch that you would recommend from The sub, The Pelagos, The current Seiko Marinemaster 300m or Omega Seamastet?
Already seen this but I enjoy your videos (and this watch)
Great review, keep up the good work.
Well done bro 🤟🏽. Nice watch
Checkout the black and white version. Aka the great white.
It kills the submariner.
@@Niro_Hero mate, don't get me wrong. I like the watch and I like Omega...i just don't like watches with the date window at 6. The same thing with Santos de Cartier...lovely watch...but the date at 6 is killing me.
Superb video. Do you prefer the Seamaster or the pelagos?
Great video man! My 2 cents: Well if you make a dive watch with a difficult bezel to turn, a useless HEV, and hard to read hands and wave dial...well, not sure about it's function/design balance. They need a better watch designer. Another 'Meh' Seamaster generation in my opinion.
The easy way to fix that it's just not call it a dive watch ! Omega should just put a fixed bezel on it take away the name seamaster and BOOM ! GREAT WATCH 😂
Watch Once-over LOL😂
Who are using a dive watch as a tool watch ??? Nowadays they all are using computer diving tool watch .... it’s only a very old story ... since a long time nobody use a dive watch as a tool watch 😉😃
Not for me, a toy and stepping-stone piece but a great watch! Nice videos mate.
Have you considered the blue or black one?
I don't like the silver for how flashy it looks
What do u mean a toy ??
@@Granto-ni9qw Obviously a Lolex fanboi not a watch enthusiast.
@@PepRex I have a 2012 blue wave seamarster it's fantastic but I think omega have gotten the new ones all wrong the strap is to thick it's very industry feel to me and the case is to big I Keep my Golden eye model any day ☺️❤️
@@Granto-ni9qw That's why I keep thinking about the speedmaster and planet ocean because of the bracelet
Dream i have 1200$ dollars saved ( i am only studnt and saved it for 4 years). The most beautyfall version after rosegold chrono. Steel is better for everyday so i decated to get this over 2 tone
Awesome detailed review brother. You don't leave any stone unturned. I love the watch but this is not the color for me. Love your channel 👍
Your analysis is so good that you should be an industry consultant
Awesome review. Cheers from Bogotá 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Not to give Omega a pass on the flaws but this line of watch was never meant to be a serious diver. It is a “dressy diver” and more of a rugged fashion piece.
The scalloped bezel doomed the bezel action from the beginning. I’m also not a fan of the skeleton hands. I prefer the 57 dna so I have the spectre watch.
isn't it called the seamaster 'professional' diving watch ?
@N A silly to shower in one because the steam can cause issues but a lot of people swim and dive in their watches. However I agree this isn’t a great dive watch
@N A I swim in my dive watches but don't do a lot of diving in them to be fair
Another excellent video Hafiz, thank you. This looks very good value for the money.Probably better to buy on the bracelet and then purchase the impressive rubber strap. That would make financial sense.
Take care and stay safe.
Great detailed review. Can't call it a diver though, but a good quality sport watch.
Yes! I am looking at you rolex 😎
The hands aren’t painted blue. They’re steel that has been heated high enough to turn blue.
Another great review from Hafiz, tqvm!! By the way will u review a steinhart ocean one 42mm? I guess the quality will impress you^_^
Great videos you should have 100k subscribers
Despite its apparent well built quality, there is something about this watch that I personally think is a bit gaudy and a bit aquaracery. Hafiz’s camera magic could not help in this instance.
Haha. Now you’ve said it, and it does give me the Aquaracer look from the bezel 😅
Outstanding video!
