i remember a comment saying that this what Aaron Taylor Johnson think he and his wife look like🤣. Jokes aside i feel that hollywood wanna keep age gap relationships so they think they gonna please feminists women by reversing the roles, when what us normal women want is just a couple of the same range that don't need to meet in high school or college! notice how you only see the men and women being in the same age range, when they are both teens or if they were childhood best friends that met 15 years later. But if the woman is in her mid to late twenties then the love interest have to AT LEAST be 10 years older.
I can't really remember what the ages of couples are in romcoms usually, but the actors do usually have a gross age gap which sucks

Given that this movie was inspired by Harry and how he was constatly made fun of during his X-Factor time for "liking older women"... it kinda leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Because of the whole Caroline Calloway affair (he was seen out with this middle aged woman at 17). Harry can like anyone he wants but he was definitely fetishized... How he feels about this in retrospect I cannot tell :/ Also the whole Olivia saga.... that lady was something else wheeew.
I honestly don’t remember anything pre midnight memories bc I didnt follow them back then, but I think the author doesn’t know that much about 1d either, bc based on what ppl say about the book, it was not as closely related to 1d as the movie. We’ll, the visuals of the movie anyway

There was a really popular yt parody series of 1D called the “The Adventurous Adventures of One Direction” and the creator made Harry fall for a grandma. So the part where they make fun of Hayden for purposely going for older woman is p accurate to the 1D lore. I think a lot of people older than the boys saw Harry as this figure to fetishize through this. Harry was the youngest in 1D :(

The Idea of You is a movie that I'm never watching, again. The movie is cringe and the romance isn't worth noting. Also, it feels outdated and in date with the times. Also, muted the music because it sounds awful.
The two relationships are awful. Solène and Hayes relationship is not only weird because of the age difference. It was her daughter's favorite band that's a little bit weirder.
3 questions for the movie: Why is Solène so bothered by him being famous? Why did Izzy ask her mom being back with the guy
when she couldn't handle the judgement? Why hasn't the Internet caught the couple sooner? Also, how did he her number?
