  • We get a N80 Hilux in for a tune that had already been “tuned” with a Remapper module
We compare a custom tune, stock tune and the module tune to see what you’re getting

@procheckautomotivemechanic4551 when you're talking about gen 1 n80 being tuned, putting out around the same figures as a stock gen 3 n80. Can you fit a gen3 n80 turbo and manifold to a gen 1 for an even bigger gen 1 increase in torque and power? Or is there other limiting factors aswell.

What can you recommend for people such as myself that live in countries where dynos are not available? I have a 2019 Hilux 2.4 in Central America.

I run one in my car which is an n80 hilux only reason I did it was to do a delete of something hahaha. But I’m guessing that particular tune was making the car blow soot from to much fuel just wondering cause mine doesn’t blow hardly any soot so I’m guessing my afrs Arnt to bad

This car had the same reason ha ha. It wasn’t excessive soot but it was there. Recommend finding a shop with a dyno and getting them to run it up. Won’t cost much and you’ll know for sure what boost and AFR’s you’re running

@@procheckautomotivemechanic4551 yeah the next issue I have is getting my car to someone as the nearest tuning place is about 3 to 4 hours away and its hard to find a spot to put a boost and egt gauge to at least have some what of an indication what things are doing but yes I agree dyno tuning is the only way to go where abouts are you’s located mate ?
