When I install Mod engine 2, with the same steps as in the video, in the launchmod_eldenring file, I do not get the ".bat" nor does it let me start elden ring by clicking on that file. Do you know why this is?
can't speak for why it doesn't work, but if you have file extensions turned off, it won't show you the suffixes on files (such as 'eldenring.exe') you can look up file extensions to see how to turn the setting on online. hope you figure it out!

I tried applying a mod (raptors set colour change) using mod engine 2 and it didnt work. Even when the 'mod engine 2' was inside the game main files folder. The bat file that was supposed to launch the game... didnt do so. So i changed it's name to 'start_protected_game.exe', still didnt work. A small black screen appeared just for a fraction of a second and that was it. Mod engine 2 (folders and files) being into the main game folder or otherwise didnt change a thing. The anti cheater toggler would only work on the original 'start_protected_game.exe' file, so i am unable to use the exe (modengine 2 launcher)/bat (eldenring_launcher.bat) from modengine 2. When using the original '*.exe' file (the one that worked for the anti cheat off mod) the game was able to launch normally, but with no mod whatsoever. Any help? *The 'raptors set mod' files were only dcx files inside the 'parts' folder.

I mean if I only use skin mods and want to update my backup data once in a while and if I also want to go back to vanilla once in a while can I just copy the current files in my Elden Ring data files and replace the outdated backup files with them or do I need to take more steps?

Assuming yes, can a save file, having used a mod to replace the mesh and texture of an existing armor, continue as is after removing said mod? Or would I have to overwrite with a clean backup save? Yes, you need to toggle off Anti-Cheat in order to play with mods otherwise you could get banned (or the game won't allow you to play at all. Don't entirely know) and you don't have to pay at all to download mods
'Exception Processing Message 0xc0000005 - Unexpected Parameters'. This is the system error im getting while launching the convergence mod! What did i do wrong!??
i have elden ring from steamunlocked, when i try to launch the mod it wont start. my game folder is different and when i select browse local folder in steam it doesnt bring me to my elden ring folder so maybe thats the problem. if anyone knows what i should do I could use the help.

Because you do. Weird as to why they would do that but ye. If you don’t want to buy it, you have to downgrade Elden ring to 1.12.1 and download the convergence version for that update.

Mods, period, can run the risk of getting a ban. It’s why playing through Mod Engine starts you in Offline Mode.
