It's because they have a shield that puts a damage cap on them like the WoL immortal as long as they have egonergy for it. Otherwise they would be the same as a normal zergling.
They have a kit thats almost perfect for fighting wrathwalkers, due to them having a form of hardened shield versus the slow firing 100 damage per shot wrathwalker, and being melee frontline versus the massive range of the long range backline wrathwalkers.
Easily the most broken Tier 1 unit in the game. Every weekly mutation commander rating with Ctg, Stetmann gets an S and Sticksbender says " mecha Zerglings literally never die, Gary murders everything, easy S tier, see you next week"

With all their upgrades and the barrier from the overcharged stetellite they would have never died. I believe the barrier reduces all the damage they take to 10. They are extremely tanky and used to destroy mutators such as Heroes of the Storm.
Dehaka could easily be defeated by mechanical heavy hitters - Siege Tanks, Reavers or Wrathwalkers (as hard as it's hard to believe judging from their fight with mechazerglings). But I quess Dehaka beign taken down would ruin the joke.

Direct strike just went and made the benfits a passive for the units, rather than working in stetalites, as kerrigan already had a similar thing put in with malignant creep and it would be cluttered if you had both on the same team.
Can someone explain to me how Reapers defeated Firebats? When I play Direct Strike Commanders and I see Raynor Firebats, I always think (massive armor, nightmare against light units), like, when I use Stucov, I don't fear Hellbats, my marines and bunkers can annihilate Hellbats just fine, and even Swan's hellbats that have increased armor are no problem for me. But when I see Raynor's firebats, I know that my marines and bunkers will not lay a scratch on them and that my wave is going to be annihilated unless I go air or Appocalisc. So can someone explain to me how mass reaper beat those heavy armored high-hp beasts?
It's because the firebats have a wind-up when attacking and the reapers kept bouncing them backwards. So while the reapers may not have done that much per shot, they were able to continuously shoot against firebats who could rarely attack.
