Tosh is literally the only perfect choice to make in the game and probably the only one moral choice that should be canon. There's just too much weight behind it. Nova's still alive one way or another, and when Tosh lives to be on the Hyperion, he gives more character depth to literally all of the other three main guys. Honestly they didn't even need this. Canonnicaly ghosts, like Nova, tends to get mind wipes after missions making them forget. It's actually more likely Nova wouldn't even have remembered Tosh after the mission, if you helped her, meaning no reason to look the other way, and if you helped Tosh well yeah she might still then because she would still be looking.
+ While Tosh might be excentric, he's there with you all the way and the scientist (What'sherface) tells you Nova lies about Spectres being a worse kind of ''Ghost''
Unfortunately the Doctor was the real liar in that case, Spectres really are dead men walking - with a hefty side of severe drug-induced madness. No Terrazine? No sanity.
Blizzard promised they will make diffrent lines depending on who you side with, Tosh / Nova, Ariel / Selendiss, Nydus / Platform that it all affect the Campaign! LIES! the HOTS campaign is unbelievably Short and Easy! not so many options, no dynamics! in WOL, I played so many diffrent tactics! in HOTS there is only 2-3
I hope it will be really good! cause HOTS was so disapointing! it was way too short! not enough fun, not enough alternatives for plot lines and order no conection to the last campaign. too bad you cant get cash and buy upgrades! I just love WOL, for the fact you can earn and buy, and improve, and chose your order... HOTS is just a dull, short and not so special campaign! the cinemtics and the music were amazing though!!!
If you help Tosh in WoL and you still have Dr. Ariel Hansen around with you afterwards, click her in the lab on the Hyperion and she'll tell you Nova was lying (or mistaken?) about the Spectres all being psychotic murderers.
That is correct. Tosh, however, will remarked that Hansen was a honey trap. He had been suspecting Hansen from the beginning because of how quickly her world got infested, and was even baffled by the fact that Raynor suspected nothing. Tosh provides great insight to the other casts, like correctly suspected Hansen even before Haven (while the story will usually play out the way to justify that you have made the correct choice AFTER you've made such choice, Tosh and Hansen are completely reversed: Tosh will warn Raynor about the possibility of Hansen being infested even before Haven, and Hansen displayed quite a disliking to Nova even if Raynor sided with Nova). Similarly, he correctly deduced that someone on the Hyperion (Tychus Findley) is working for Mengsk, but also knew that Tychus really did not want to do what he was doing. The dude is kind enough to Raynor to warn about a possible betrayal, but also kind enough to Tychus to not rat him out simply because he knew that Tychus really didn't have a choice. I wouldn't betray a bro like him for some blond Dominion pet ghost
If you want to stick to the storyline and canon, Matt Horner did say something about having Tosh as infiltration specialist to help Artanis or Kerrigan. Can't remember which. So, Tosh it is.
if Raynor would have chose Nova in canon (the Tosh, Ariel, and Nydus tunnel sabotage choices are the canon ones in Wings Of Liberty) then Tosh would be facepalming so hard in the afterlife.
Help Tosh or don't take the mission: If you had helped me with my Tosh problem, I might have looked the other way while you got out. But you chose poorly! Help Nova: You elped me with my Tosh problem, and I appreciate that. But a girl's got to do what a girl's got to do!
Gonna mention one minor detail: in russian dub if you help Nova, dialogue would be like: Nova: You helped me with Tosh, but unfortunantely friendship is friendship and duty is duty. Jim: You think you will get a promotion, yeah, dolly? I tried to be as much correct as I could but you get my point, its just kinda funny. XD
They dont go memory wiped after every asignment, but when they join the ghost program (after they finnish it actually)... read the lore book called: Nova, to better understand...
I prefer Nova simply because I like Ghost's permaneant cloaking and sniping. But the one thing I really dislike about choosing Tosh is that he doesn't come along on the Nydus network mission later in the game.
What if we didnt selected anything also I think an intrection is also diffrent depending one what you choose tosh or nova while kerrigan is speaking with matt horner to rescue jim raynor matt says:Our volenteer tosh.. and kerrigan interrupts that
I figure the reason she disappeared in HOTS is because if she anywhere near Kerrigan she'd be torn apart. They probably won't kill her until they get her game out.....someday.
There's a line where Matt Horner said "Our associate Tosh can help" or somewhere along those lines during the start of a mission where Kerrigan breaks Raynor free from a prison ship. Will it change if you didn't help Tosh?

@@thundereagle4130 Not to mention that it is perfectly possible to finish Dead Man's Port mission without even hiring Mira. There is even an achievement for it.
I feel bad for choosing Nova, I atone for my sins
Blizzard’s campaign decision making at its finest, none of them matter.
Also btw in the cutscene of planning the attack on the prison ship Horner will say they'll use either specters or ghosts to get Jim depending
No you would not look away, Nova, no you would not.
Funny thing. My first rub i helped nova, but when i went to heart of the swarm that rub it gave me the voice line for helping tosh.
"If you helped me I would look the other way" bullshit lmao
Thanks, wondered what cutscene you got if you chose Nova. Couldn't find any upload of all the cutscenes + cinematics with helping Nova.
Looks like choosing "bros over hoes" was the indeed right choice :)
Its like fallout 4:
-Capture Raynor
-Capture Raynor
-Capture Raynor
-Capture Raynor
glad to finally know my always Tosh pick is justified
Ever since the first time i saw Nova i didn't like her, and now it feels so good that all this time i've been right at not liking her
#Toshgang
Honestly they didn't even need this. Canonnicaly ghosts, like Nova, tends to get mind wipes after missions making them forget. It's actually more likely Nova wouldn't even have remembered Tosh after the mission, if you helped her, meaning no reason to look the other way, and if you helped Tosh well yeah she might still then because she would still be looking.
However, Nova Terra seems like she was going to take pity on Commander Raynor, but, somewhat against her own will, turns him in.
So basically just forget Nova entirely, she's a backstabber.
"Truth is, the game was rigged from the start"
That is a beach. It just does what it wants with no regards to morals. What I would expect from a ghost.
Just look to that cut-scene more carefully, you can see Tosh there sometimes :)
Damn, I've played Starcraft Mass Recall so much that when I see Wings of Liberty Nova I just see Kerrigan with blonde hair lol
No sanity.
Blizzard promised they will make diffrent lines depending on who you side with,
Tosh / Nova, Ariel / Selendiss, Nydus / Platform
that it all affect the Campaign!
LIES!
the HOTS campaign is unbelievably Short and Easy!
not so many options, no dynamics!
in WOL, I played so many diffrent tactics!
in HOTS there is only 2-3
chill out, they still have the ability to redeem themselves for LOTV
blusgaming picks
no they wont!
it appears that LOTV will include only 20 mission!!!
the nerves!!!!
jaguar4u2012 but the faction balancing mechanic will add a tactical layer to the campaign.
I hope it will be really good!
cause HOTS was so disapointing!
it was way too short!
not enough fun, not enough alternatives for plot lines and order
no conection to the last campaign.
too bad you cant get cash and buy upgrades!
I just love WOL, for the fact you can earn and buy, and improve, and chose your order...
HOTS is just a dull, short and not so special campaign!
the cinemtics and the music were amazing though!!!
Yeah. Some nonlinearity would be appreciate too. Like saying Zeratul to F himslef when he asks to turn to zerg again :F
Damn I never heard about this 2nd dialogue about after helping nova rid tosh
If you want to stick to the storyline and canon, Matt Horner did say something about having Tosh as infiltration specialist to help Artanis or Kerrigan. Can't remember which. So, Tosh it is.
Trust not by appearance but, by action and deed, lest ye be a one of lesser man and fall by the same fallacies.
I only chose Nova because of the snipe ability
if Raynor would have chose Nova in canon (the Tosh, Ariel, and Nydus tunnel sabotage choices are the canon ones in Wings Of Liberty) then Tosh would be facepalming so hard in the afterlife.
Help Tosh or don't take the mission:
If you had helped me with my Tosh problem, I might have looked the other way while you got out. But you chose poorly!
Help Nova:
You elped me with my Tosh problem, and I appreciate that. But a girl's got to do what a girl's got to do!
I always pick Tosh, after all the help i give him Im just not gonna throw it away
Gonna mention one minor detail: in russian dub if you help Nova, dialogue would be like:
Nova: You helped me with Tosh, but unfortunantely friendship is friendship and duty is duty.
Jim: You think you will get a promotion, yeah, dolly?
I tried to be as much correct as I could but you get my point, its just kinda funny. XD
Tosh is a greatly underappreciated character from Blizzard and deserves more respect and attention. Tosh coop commander when?
Thats a huge ploy hole. After Kerrigan every dominion ghost go memory wipe after every assignment. Nova isn't supposed to remember what she did in WoL
Hunting Tosh is probably still her mission, so they didn't erase any detail that may help kill him.
They dont go memory wiped after every asignment, but when they join the ghost program (after they finnish it actually)... read the lore book called: Nova, to better understand...
Remember kids nova also voices azula from avatar the last air bender
Remember kid.think twise when you bout to help woman
0:33 That's cap
I prefer Nova simply because I like Ghost's permaneant cloaking and sniping.
But the one thing I really dislike about choosing Tosh is that he doesn't come along on the Nydus network mission later in the game.
yo pienso que nova si lo capturo pero no lo mato por el favor que le hizo Jim, ademas a los fantasmas les viven lavando el cerebro gg.
This is why I always help Tosh. Blondie will always ghost you!
Bros before Dominion hoes.
What if we didnt selected anything also I think an intrection is also diffrent depending one what you choose tosh or nova while kerrigan is speaking with matt horner to rescue jim raynor matt says:Our volenteer tosh.. and kerrigan interrupts that
Damed if you dont, damned if you do huh?
I helped Nova in my first run of WoL, but still recieved the "Looked the other way" response... strange
Helping Tosh is canon
I figure the reason she disappeared in HOTS is because if she anywhere near Kerrigan she'd be torn apart. They probably won't kill her until they get her game out.....someday.
nowadays that's enough to shout on every corner about incredible choice variety
There's a line where Matt Horner said "Our associate Tosh can help" or somewhere along those lines during the start of a mission where Kerrigan breaks Raynor free from a prison ship. Will it change if you didn't help Tosh?
so there is a different reaction after all. i wondered if she would have reacted differently if i sided with her because i chose tosh in wol. poor jim though
*i might have looked the other way*
