I love the way soviet era designed cargo-type aircraft land.... so all the wheels touch at the same time
....as opposed to western designed ones which land main wheels, then nose wheel afterwards.

It certainly beats the landing of the two MIG-29's I saw at the RIAT at Fairford in '93. The first one landed nose down just off the runway while the other flew tail-first into a wood. Happy days!

Show me a large aircraft not land on its "main wheels" and I'll show you a plane crash.

Richard Weston I think my comment makes sense
It would be incorrect to call them 'rear wheels', so 'main' is a reasonable word to use.
Or are you deliberately trying to make an issue to belittle someone for not using the technical word?

No. I just think you are wrong.

Or put another way that aircraft lands just like any similar one. rear/main wheels first.

What a skilled landing ! putting minimum stress on the landing gear, improving tyres & air frame lifespan...

It’s not Midas it is special version for India so it’s called IL-78MKI used for refueling and has more improvements and upgrades than the normal ‘Midas’ version. Nonetheless good catch mate👍

The Eurofighters were flying to the known capabilities of China's Chengdu j-20 fighter. You don't train pilots to fight against aircraft they are not going to be up against. Arrogance gets people killed in war. I would be more worried about the 1 fighter you lost. China will send more than 12 fighters against you in any war. Given recent events you may not have to wait long to see if i'm correct. China were also watching and no doubt they would have looked at their tactics and capabilities and made the necessary changes. We will see soon enough.

It's il78. look at the cockpit of the aircraft. C130's cockpit aren't designed that way.
