Soon as vassy fired in with a reply starting with "I get that BUT" I knew where she stood , she likes the carbon tax. I don't understand how no one can do the math, literally get a note pad and write down every single dollar you pay in carbon tax until your next rebate, I can guarantee the number on the note pad will be vastly larger than the rebate amount. It's that simple but vassy doesn't do math she just doesn't like scott moe or resistance to the carbon tax.

if he's worried about the carbon tax, remove the provincial carbon tax on fuel. it'll cut the pumps 13-15 cents a litre. Sask collects the highest provincial carbon tax for fuel in Canada. usually Scott Moe follows whatever Alberta does....well they removed that a long time ago, same with Manitoba.

@@lizliz4186 Huh? Everyone uses heating fuel, not just farmers. In fact plenty of farmers use woodstoves because they make economic sense and so many are less impacted by the carbon tax. Also, Alberta brought the provincial tax on clear road fuel back again since beginning of January as per the law that the tax is only reduced or taken off when the price of oil is above a certain level. And at the moment oil is too low for that to happen

I find this discussion confusing. The federal Ctax reg syas that the feds can never use revenues collected in one province to fund rebates in another province. Any rebates allocated in Sask have to come, 100%, from Ctaxes collected in Sask. It is not possible for the feds to rebate more than they collect in any gicen province, unless they are breaking the federal Ctax rule.
