Why Spurs GM nearly always draft the same frame? *D.Vassel* 6'5 + 6'10 wingspan *M.Branham* 6'4 + 6'10 wingspan *K.Johnson* 6'4.75" + 6'9.25" wingspan *S.Cissoko* 6'5.5" + 6'9.75" wingspan *B.Wesley* 6'3 + 6'9.25" wingspan *S.Castle* 6'5.5" + 6'9 wingspan *H.Ingram* 6'5.5" + 7 wingspan (or even *J.Primo* 6'4 + 6'9.25" wingspan) All undersized as a 3, but all can't play 2 or 1! I know all those guys have crazy long arms, but Malaki Branham, or KJ should give you insight that this frame doesn't always get you good D.
Wemby needs to play at the center position 100% of the time. we need a power forward, not another center, especially at the price Brook Lopez gets paid.
Stop saying "Rob", they didn't traded Rob they traded the *#8 pick* that's not the same thing! Knecht, D.Carter, C.Williams that's the kind of guys they'll regret to pass on. The 2031 picks will most probably be a late one, same for the 2030 pick swap. I'm not against trading the #8 picks but at least trade it for something valuable, like with a team projected to be bad when the pick convey (opposite to Twolves), or more picks or/and players...
Also I don't think "falling in love" is the right thing to do as a GM. Josh Primo was a reach even without any of his "issues", didn't they learned from it?
I'm not sure CP is the point guard of the present. He won't play full minutes to prevent injuries. He'll probably start and close out games, but I think Tre is still the guy
I'm not down with this move at all, we take away from the development from our young players, we have guys who need all the minutes they can get. We just drafted a player who will take minutes at the guard position also. I love the Castle pick, he will be our most talented guard on the team, but we are punting on Wesley and Malaki now, they will be not signed in the near future, just like we lost Lonnie Walker. The Paul signing reminds me of when we kept Forbes back in the day, it took away valuable minutes away from Lonnie Walker, for nothing really, we dropped Forbes the next year. Paul is way over the hill, I know he will give us good minutes, but for one year, that's it, then we move on, that seems extremely short sighted.
It doesn't take away from their development at all. In fact, Chris Paul augments their development because we have yet to have an adult in the room to teach the gang how to play winning basketball. Due to the level of future success Wemby needs and demands, they're not going to learn it on their own losing 55-60 games every year
@@codycarson3832 I'm not sure how he developed anyone in Golden State, I love Paul 5+ years ago, but in all my years as a nba fan, especially of my Spurs, have I heard getting a 39 year old point guard is beneficial to a team, this would be a first
@safespaceinvader you must be joking. GOLDEN STATE is the only sample size you're talking about with CHRIS PAUL who's been in the league 19 years and made countless All NBA teams and played countless playoff games? You're not being serious with your rhetoric right now. His presence alone on this young team lifts all tides.
Chris Paul has been brought in to mentor the team. Any player can grow with him on the team. to your point of Malaki and Wesley... both of them are trade bait. Neither has shown enough to warrant lang term invest. too 1 dimensional and the 1 dimension they have doesn't fit. Malaki is way too streaky, just like Lonnie, an unless he flips a big switch, he'll probably be gone by the trade deadline same for Wesley.

This was a very good episode. First one ive listened all the way through.
Loved the castle pick.
There’s no way in hell I trade any 2025 draft picks!!!
Most first round picks in the NBA suck. That is why NBA teams give them away like they’re nothing.
I'll try get brook Lopez, are try see if jerrret allen

I would not waste my draft capitol on a journey man. Smh I don't know why San Antonio fans want him. Then I gotta hope he sign with you. No!!!!
Markkanin is a franchise changer !!! Obviously he would have to agree to an extension before the trade. We’re not gonna trade just for one year.
Predicted 42-40 record play in tournament.
Playing green hair at point guard this past year, and Wemby at power forward instead of center. Showed that pop was trying to lose games on purpose.
If the Spurs can somehow get Johnathan Issac , oh lord make it happen champs 2025
I'm not trading for him
Why not release the name of the guy they would've taken with that pick? Weird. Makes no sense.
I expect it was Topic, but hard to say.
Ask brian
Why???

It's not a smart move. For spurs Lauria hell NO!!!

I 100% disagree with everything you just said.
