This nostalgic feeling and the chills that come with it when you hear a remix of a theme you loved in your past games like black and white. Meloetta really needs more attention. She's super underrated.
I would have loved to have more lore about Meloetta in the Unova games. Maybe have a side quest or post game mission involving her and Team Plasma making a desperate bid for power after their failure in the main story.
Sepia toned memories still linger even after the years pass by. Some say if you were to visit a certain alleyway in Unova you can still hear the ancient song playing.
What I love about Gen 5 is the mythical treatments Meloetta and keldeo got an awesome scene to teach them their signature moves Genesect and victini have their own event and locations And the swords of justice have one of the best intro cutscene before their fight Now mythical are just like : "Hi, take this legendary and go watch the movie "
This was such a touching in-game event. Something about the cozy feeling of the tucked away bar with a musician playing a song that he heard as a child. It always tugs at my heartstrings. I wish Pokémon did it more.
If Mexico ever has a region, I would love a fire/fairy meloetta that infused a mixture between indigenous music and spanish music. I am starting to have a vision on what the next page for pokemon should be, neurons are firing in my brain like birth of a star. Victini was the only one you had to catch unfortunately. I'd love it if Meloetta had an event in Relic Castle, the item could be an old music sheet, and the trigger could be by asking a historian there who would tell you the backstory of the old ruins, and after finishing Meloetta starts to sing, you go outside, fight a bit, and then catch. And since Relic Song needs to be taught, you can ask the man in Castella to play the music sheet, who will remember something similar.
@@one-wingedangel5107 The only one you needed to catch in Unova. The only mythicals I've ever recieved were the Shiny Zeraora and G-MAX Melmetal in Sw/Sh, but the Emerald Mew, FR/LG Deoxys, and maybe the Platinum Shaymin all seem pretty fun. It would be cool if they did something like that again.

@@alphatreegigigasundertalel8685 It's a gen 8 thing. There are about 200 Pokemon missing that aren't coded into the games. Gamefreak announced in summer last year that there won't be a game with a complete set of Pokemon ever again.
@@nachtaron I believe the reason that happened was because they ran out of time and weren't prepared for the hardware shift. Their team is small keep in mind. With all the beta screenshots and stuff, multiple Pokemon that were not found in base game or the DLC for SW&SH are there. I assume they had to cut cause higher ups rushed them. So the DLC is them trying to make up for certain issues. About 200 Pokemon are still missing and I assume they will return in another update without DLC.

This brings me back to a simpler time when I would watch the black and white anime before going to school. Meloetta will always have a special place in my heart ❤️
The fact that they specifically chose Sepia as a filter for the camera app of your Rotom Phone and spinning around in order to finally have the chance to battle and catch Meloetta in the Scarlet and Violet DLC second half a whole four generations later after Gen 5 originally had unused data for battling and catching a Wild Meloetta is just pure complete perfection from Game Freak. As we approach Gen 10, the big one, double digits, and now have over 1010 Pokémon, all signs and songs truly do point to one ideal destination in mind. I never really understood or realized what that mysterious Guitarist meant when he said that melody brought back the Sepia Toned memories he once thought he'd forgotten. But now I finally understand. I can hear a melody. But what I'm curious about is the OTHER thing that man said. That "One day the world fell into strife, and the Pokémon forgot the melody it once knew and both were lost to history. Supposedly, a pair of red shoes were also lost somewhere along the way." . . . We are getting a Legends Arceus style Game for the Ancient Unova Region. At least I certainly hope we are. And if and when we do, there is going to be something that happens which involves Meloetta and somebow some sort of Red Shoes like the Ruby Red Slippers from The Wizard of Oz. I'll be back when that time for a return to the Unova Region like we've never seen before happens. Only we might come to know my Home Region by a different name. We're not getting it this Gen anyway, barring FRLG every other remake was in the Gen that was double the previous, Gen 2 got a remake in 4, 3 for 6, 4 for 8. They wouldn't do a remake because there's two BW so all points to a Legends game that's a sequel

I feel like this may be one of the most underrated pokemon themes. Like so many people played gen 5 but never got to hear this theme because it was event exclusive.
It's always great to find out one of your favorite Mons has a song associated with it. Meloetta is known almost exclusively for Relic Song, but she's a fantastic character nonetheless. Great job as always friend! Such a beautiful piece from a phenomenal game!
If GameFreak or The Pokemon Company decides to go all out with the Gen 5 remakes, then I would want them to have this song remixed by NieR composer Keiichi Okabe with Emi Evans for the vocals.
Given that we got Keldeo in the SwSh DLC, and seeing that the Paldean Starters were based on entertainment (Magician, Dancer, Singer), I really hoped we'd get Meloetta, because its tied with Ogerpon for my favorite Pokemon. I literally screamed when I found out you could get it in the Indigo Disk.
Meloetta is my favorite mythic pokemon. I call my shiny one Melony, she came from a far off land through trade back in the XY days. And her return in violet has been wonderful! We're singing the old songs again.
Oh my God. Pearl was the first game I played but Black and White are hands-down my favourite Pokémon games of all time. We are getting Sinnoh remaked but listening to this I can't help but crave Unova remakes.
Ooohh this hits really hard. Never got meloetta in the original game, because I was like 10, but later on it became my favourite pokemon and I am really happy GF made it catchable in the SV DLC, even through an easter egg way to encounter it. Man the black/white music brings back memories.

This brings me back to a simpler time when I would watch the black and white anime before going to school. Meloetta will always have a special place in my heart ❤️
The fact that they specifically chose Sepia as a filter for the camera app of your Rotom Phone and spinning around in order to finally have the chance to battle and catch Meloetta in the Scarlet and Violet DLC second half a whole four generations later after Gen 5 originally had unused data for battling and catching a Wild Meloetta is just pure complete perfection from Game Freak. As we approach Gen 10, the big one, double digits, and now have over 1010 Pokémon, all signs and songs truly do point to one ideal destination in mind.
I never really understood or realized what that mysterious Guitarist meant when he said that melody brought back the Sepia Toned memories he once thought he'd forgotten. But now I finally understand. I can hear a melody.
But what I'm curious about is the OTHER thing that man said.
That "One day the world fell into strife, and the Pokémon forgot the melody it once knew and both were lost to history. Supposedly, a pair of red shoes were also lost somewhere along the way."

We are getting a Legends Arceus style Game for the Ancient Unova Region. At least I certainly hope we are. And if and when we do, there is going to be something that happens which involves Meloetta and somebow some sort of Red Shoes like the Ruby Red Slippers from The Wizard of Oz. I'll be back when that time for a return to the Unova Region like we've never seen before happens. Only we might come to know my Home Region by a different name.

We're not getting it this Gen anyway, barring FRLG every other remake was in the Gen that was double the previous, Gen 2 got a remake in 4, 3 for 6, 4 for 8. They wouldn't do a remake because there's two BW so all points to a Legends game that's a sequel
I also don't think they'd do a Legends game that covers things we already saw. Arceus didn't show us any of Sinnoh's history really

man I remember getting meloetta, going to the library (as I got the pokemon in my local game store) and getting it with this music. So nostalgic...
And this is why Meloetta is one of my favorite mythicals.
Given that we got Keldeo in the SwSh DLC, and seeing that the Paldean Starters were based on entertainment (Magician, Dancer, Singer), I really hoped we'd get Meloetta, because its tied with Ogerpon for my favorite Pokemon. I literally screamed when I found out you could get it in the Indigo Disk.
And she sings the relic song this time, it's not just instrumental

Meloetta is my favorite mythic pokemon. I call my shiny one Melony, she came from a far off land through trade back in the XY days. And her return in violet has been wonderful! We're singing the old songs again.
After 14 years, Shiny Meloetta is finally available in Pokemon HOME events. I hope we see more events like this in the Future!!

Oh my God. Pearl was the first game I played but Black and White are hands-down my favourite Pokémon games of all time. We are getting Sinnoh remaked but listening to this I can't help but crave Unova remakes.
Ooohh this hits really hard. Never got meloetta in the original game, because I was like 10, but later on it became my favourite pokemon and I am really happy GF made it catchable in the SV DLC, even through an easter egg way to encounter it. Man the black/white music brings back memories.
