As a 70 year old straight man, I can say that this song has always moved me. When will people learn to let other live and let live. Maybe they will learn it when they are knocking on heavens doors.....that may be to late. Wake up people. My older brother was gay, he had a hard life even from my father....but my mother and I supported him, he was her son and my BROTHER.

The 70s at least among those of us who were young at the time was a very open time. We embrace civil rights and the beginnings of gay rights. The biggest advanced of gay rights in this country took place on our watch 1 millions of gays came out into the open and began to live freely as gay people in the midnight 70s.

This song is pretty sad, but pretty cool how Rod said Georgie was basically a big old ball of sunshine, that's sweet! I love that! 🥰...
But Dude! I've never seen Rod Stewart vamp this hard and it hits different!...SHOOK, but I'm living for it! 😎😍😎...
I'm from the 80'S, so I remember Rod in the 80's...but in this one from the 70's I love how Rod thinks he's on a runway here and his makeup is on point, his white suite and how his jacket was a cape is everything...He's vamping it up sooo hard in this one! 😎😎😎

Rod Stewart never had a bad song. He did a duet with 💝Tina Turner with his hit "Hot Legs" two of the greatest voices ever to be heard on the radio back then. WOW, just magnificent singers. Also these gems:
    *If you think I'm sexy*
    *First cut is the deepest*
    *Downtown Train*
(Heres a lyric teaser for *Your in my heart song*)
Your in my heart, Your in my soul you'll be my breath should I grow old.
    💝💗 Great song. 💖❣️
