The genius is at it again! Here, Borge plays some of the Tchaikovsky concerto No. 1 with a few extra goodies added in. This video always makes me smile.
Victor Borge is such a talented gifted player. I think i know no one who can change melody without even thincing in so a incredible difficult piece. The man died but his memorys are unmortal.
even though this footage seems to be a bit aged, it's refreshing to me to see a musician who can appreciate his craft and be comfortable enough with the music to joke around like this. it's great if a pianist can make you feel all sorts of things through dynamics and whatnot but, if they can make you laugh and not be so uptight all the time it's even better. =) thanks very much for sharing this.
you all probably dont care at all but does anybody know a trick to log back into an Instagram account? I was stupid forgot the login password. I love any help you can offer me.
@Dalton Warren Thanks for your reply. I found the site through google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@MrBusjan VB did not started out his comic in music because it payed better. He tells in a danish interview that it was because he was to nervous to play as a concertpianist. Who can understand that, I mean with that talent, but then againg, what a lovely match comic and music, he just had it all.
it isn't just changing keys. he mostly stays around the same key. the major key thing was the last time he switched. but he changed tempos a lot then at the end he's like "follow me please!" lol
I was wondering it that was it..his accent through me off a bit, even though I can understand him fine in the other vids of him on here. he was such a funny guy.
That guy shouldn't have tried to follow Borge, he should have kept playing the correct thing and turn the table on Borge and make him look bad! - MY EVIL PLAN!!!
My grandpa recomended Borge to me, I think he's awesome! If you like this check out Igudesmen and Joo. They're hilarious. But why does Borge always wear trews (plaid pants)?
what are the songs that borge deviates from during the actual concerto? it happens 3 times, at 0:28-0:33, 0:40-0:46, and 0:54-0:57. please respond to this. thanks
And there will never be anyone like the master. I heard that he started out his comic in music, because it payed better than being a concertpianist, which he was educated as.
IM SORRY IM NOT A PIANIST i dont get the joke follow me please, please explain the obvious im not a muscian so dont roast me, funny thig it still left me with a smile lol
@pettymolly Same reason as anybody else watched it. What kind of question is that. I like Victor Borge. He is nostalgic and reminds me of the happier moments of childhood. Why did you or anyone else watch? Do you make a habit out of pointless questions? Why didn't you wear green socks on last Wednesday?
@PlagueOfGnats Cause a lot of people are vulgar. Family humor is rather bland and mild. Victor makes me smile, but doesn't exactly make me laugh. Not that vulgar comics do either, but there is a niche for everthing.
He is truly the original of "i play piano but i got distracted" content

I miss this guy.....I have to watch more of his stuff
"FOLLOW ME PLEASE!!!" LMAO had me dying 😂🤣
He was the best pianoplayer and standupcomedian ever. I think.
Osmo Karppinen he wasn't best piano player, fact
Pretty sure he's a sitdown comedian tho.
He was brilliant 👍❗
He was even on an episode of "The Man From U.N.C.L.E." once. Is the Turkish pianist-who joined him in "Hungarian Rhapsody"-still alive?
@@virginiaconnor8350 I am sorry I don`t know
no one over, no one besides. the best ever!
He was so funny, but also a great pianist,,,,
Priceless!!! I LOVE Borge!

Hello, I'd just like to remind you of how long ago you commented on this video. It's been quite a while, just doing this for nostalgia.
WHAT DOES HE SAY AT THE END??? I can't figure it out for the life of me.
