I always regret that I wasn't into kickboxing as a kid when K1 was around. I'm glad that there seems to be a small resurgence in interest for the sport and that I get to be a part of that at least.
I was briefly living in Japan at the height of Masato's career (or Sudo Genki for that matter) and K1 New Years Shows and the like. Still, chatting to women, when I'd go "I watch K1" they'd go "K1? Ahhh, wait, I know, Andy Hug!". :)

Superbon didn't get the first technique at all. When he's throwing the uppercut his front foot and back heel aka powerline doesn't face masato. That's what he was trying to correct
Masato is a legend and doesnt need to prove anything to anyone. He is now retired happyand healthy
