I loved those block letter style unis the A's had in the mid 80's before going to the script style starting in 1987. I'm in the minority, but the mix of white, green, and gold was glorious.
If he had just stayed 'human' size like in this video he'd probably be in the hall of fame... Likely many more healthy seasons and at least 600 homeruns. I hate playing the "what if" game.. but man.. so much potential was left on the table when you look back at the beginning.
Seems most forgave Jose as he admitted to it and then called out the rest. They guy is still fitter then most of us and he most likely doesn't juice up anymore.
As a Tiger Fan, I had never seen anyone hit one in the upper deck bleachers before. McGwire would hit his first home run at Detroit over the 440 mark in CF in the lower deck.
I thought he had a great batting stance. Open stance and timed the ball well... McGwire on the other hand had the goofy pigeon toed stance. They both worked!

Love the old VHS HD
The background music in the first part is Cindy Lauper's "The Goonies R Good Enuff" song lol
Would have payed good money to watch Kingman and Canseco take BP
That's one thing I remember about the old tiger stadium. The 440 to center field.
I miss old comiskey
My hero when he was a hero
So great to see Reggie Jackson hitting a homer alongside Canseco and McGwire in what was 1987! Amazing old Cleveland Stadium too.

You think he somehow would have hit "more" homers if he didn't juice? How do you figure?
@@thegoldentroll He was taking when he hit these homeruns, he started in the minors and keep going.
