As a Blue Jays fan, that one season w/ Jose Canseco in a Jays uniform was actually quite special. Career-best 46 HRs & the Jays nearly caught the Red Sox for the Wildcard late in the season before falling a few games short. It was fun while it lasted.

Canseco was injured and missed a lot of regular season games throughout his career.
In 1998 he had 29 SB's as well as 46 HR
He said he was told to stop stealing bases to avoid injury by Jays staff.

The 1998 Blue Jays are still my fav team. Their games were so much fun to watch with Canseco, Delgado, Green, Clemens, etc.

The most violent swing in baseball... You would think the bat would break when it hits his back at the end of the swing.

7:16 the announcer questions what Jose is doing...he is obviously describing the Wakefield knuckle ball.

Hitting-wise, you could not pitch to him. You couldn’t walk him even.
