You are so welcome! I am glad that I was able to help you. We are all struggling with this together. Remember you are not alone and that you will find ways to overcome this challenge! 😊🙏🏻
What has always made it difficult is that it’s sporadic. There’s never a constant.. makes you always question if your face is red or not.. and sometimes when it isn’t it might feel like it is. For a few years mine went away, but lately it has returned and I haven’t determined what was different. Perhaps diet as you say. I had acne as a teen and wonder if that’s where a lot of this comes from. Thanks for the video.
Tom, it's such a strange condition and I honestly have no idea what causes it. That's why I tried to break it down into as many factors as I could. Glad the video was useful! Hope you find your own solutions, and most of all, remember that others care very little about your red face. It's mostly in your mind, and people love you for who you are! Cheers, DMS
I see it come and go. This morning I woke up with white skin. I had eggs and corn tortillas and some coffee with sugar for breakfast and now my face is very red.
I agree, the never know what kind of face your going to wake up to is maddening. I struggled with acne to the point I had to have accutane twice. Which was good. Then in my late 30s the redness came out of nowhere. So yeah, I never know what I’m going to look like from day to day lol
I suffer from it too, had done since I was a kid, now 32 and it seems to be becoming more of a problem now but I'm trying to find ways of reducing it. my face is much redder than yours in the video. your skin looks brilliant.
Thanks for your comment. I would suggest taking things out of diet one at a time and seeing if there is something causing the irritation. Recently I stopped coffee and tea and have seen a marked improvement in having less redness. So it may be something for you that you don't suspect. I hope that helps, and keep up hope! We're in this together!
Read mu post from firt & maybe 2nd thread. I had this problem when I was young. I felt I couldn't be myself because it was a CONSTANT thought. that wouldn't leave my head.
All I gotta say is thank you for this video! 🙏🏼 I live with the fear of getting red any where I go and I feel like that’s actually stopping me from reaching my potential in life.. it’s hard once I start getting anxious and I feel my hands sweating I just know my whole face it’s about to start getting red but I will try to follow up with some of your methods! Thank you Dan mate honestly I been hating how sensitive and red my face goes for almost a decade of my life now. Glad you posted this video makes me feel a little better lol
In middle school, I was singled out in class by a teacher and she really embarrassed me in front of the entire class. my cheeks turned so hot and flushed, i was overcome with emotion. i ended up leaving the classroom. i am still to this day very self conscious about my red cheeks. i still to this day resent that teacher.
Ooh that's rough. Yes I have also had experiences where people would call me out for being red. It's a tough situation to deal with, but remember that nothing anybody else says or thinks can ever stop you from doing what you want to do in life! Red faces unite!
Quinn12346 my story is almost exactly the same as yours...my 7th grade teacher gave out awards at the end of the school year, she gave me the "Blushing award", I resented her too! Everybody else loved her. I did like her, but that "AWARD" gave me anxiety for the rest of my life. BRIGHT rooms always brought on the FEAR. There are certain stores that I shop at now that I feel "more comfortable" in.
I remember the second time I got called out for having a red face was in middle school too. We were on a field trip and my teacher pulled me over asking if I was sick and I said "no, why?" and then she said it was because my face was so red. Really hurt me
Such a helpful video! I’ve never related to someone so closely about this issue before, this definitely makes me feel better about having a red face, knowing that I’m not alone out there. Thank you :)
My face turns red and oily during the day due to the high temperature and humid climate I used to feel so bad especially when people pointed out and told me that they are scared of my skin But I have learnt to accept it and cherish it ❤️❤️❤️
Been looking for this video my whole life! Every day my whole life! Everyone points it out to me constantly. Co workers are always pointing and giggling at me. Had it all through school. Every social interaction or the thought or social interaction has me flushed red... if i could hide in my house forever i would 😢
Looks good to me friend. I really don’t know why people are bothered about it . It’s just normal life. I pray fir all the humans nighters about this normal life manifestation. Blood is red.
Im a student in secondary school, and i often go bright red and began to lightly sweat every now and again. Whether its talking to new people, giving presentations or simply giving an answer to a question, i go bright red. Ive been looking around on how to stop, and ive sort of realised something. Its not an issue. It is part of you and you should totally fucking own it. I was looking around on reddit a few days ago and found a comment that went along the lines of "when you're giving a presentation, go 'allow me one moment to assume my higher form' and go bright red." Dont let it control you, you need to accept the fact you have gone red and continue with life.
Thank you for making this video. I'm 41yo and started getting "red face" within the last five years.I have always believed that the redness is through sun damage. I hate it when people jump to the assumption that the redness is due to having high blood pressure.

I love this video!! I've had red skin all my life and I'm starting a new job at an office soon and little worried about it. Thank you for making this and I'm going to try some of the tips you've suggested. Trying to improve my diet lately to help mostly. I think what you say is right about people not caring is true. The longer I watched this video the less and less I even noticed any redness on you and generally wouldn't even matter to me. But we are our own worst critic's of course. I'm trying to find different perspectives that help as well. Thank you Daniel for making this video :)
My face is naturally red but having high confidence with daily things helps alot. Noone really cares about it and if someone brings it up just say you have skin issues. Everyone has issues some more visible then others, but it is what it is live with what your born with 😁
Yes! This is an AWESOME way to approach it. You are exactly right that everyone has something they are not happy with about themselves. Accepting being redder than others as part of who you are makes it much easier and people tend to forget it. Thank you for sharing your perspective!
Thanks mate, it has completely changed/ruined my life. I am 17 years old and I stopped going outside to see friends like 3 years ago... my face is 10x more red than yours and a much bigger area on my cheeks unfortunately. I’ve tried laser therapy, diets, supplements, acupuncture and much more but nothing seems to help. I wish I had a normal face, so I could go out and live life normally without being held back by my red face :/
My friend, trust me when I say it will get easier. You CAN go outside and do whatever you want, even with red cheeks. People don’t care half as much as you imagine they do. Our own inhibitions are the true enemy. Live you best life despite having a red face! That’s what has worked for me. 🙏🏻🙌🏻
Thank you so much for this video!! I’ve always struggles with having red cheecks and nose. It bothers me a lot in my day to day life. These methods are so helpful!☺️
Anyone else face goes really red when they just doing the basic things like going to the shop, getting a haircut it's so annoying every thing I do in public my face gets red and sometimes sweat too easily, and certainly it's worse in the summer
Yep I have definitely been there my friend. The more you work in your emotional life the better you will feel and the less red you will become. Trust me, it gets better over time. 🙏🏻

Glad to hear Desmond. At the very least it's important to know it isn't as noticeable to others as you feel on the inside. But yes, let me know how the ideas work. As I mentioned, cutting out coffee has helped me a lot as well. Cheers, DMS
Thanks for making this video mate. I’m 29 years old and red face sufferer. I also have seborrheic dermatitis mixed in there which causes it. I’ve found so many things can trigger it and it’s really disheartening. I work as a teacher so I get comments quite frequently which never make you feel good. I even noticed when I played pool for a few hours the other night, because a lot of people were smoking near me, it really irritated my face and made it red. (I don’t smoke myself). I’ll take all you’ve said on board and hopefully it settles down and hope yours does too 👍🏼
My face has been getting so red it starts looking purple. I can accept I have a red face, but I will try these things to tone it down. Red faces unite!
@@midsonshort Yes I did the same. Cutting coffee and high sugar foods has also seemed to reduce the redness. When did the whole redness thing start for you?
Thank you for this honest and informative video. I knew a lot of the information already, but the caffeine component is new to me and could be a challenge for me to quit!
Yes indeed...knowing you're not alone does kind of make each of us feel better....but a red face triggered off and on at random is pure hell for me too. How can alcohol, stress, nicotine, sunlight, allergies, embarrassment, certain foods, sexual attraction, exercise, extreme heat, anxiety, ect ect ect be linked to rosacea and\or facial flushing but no one can really tell anyone the root cause of turning red? It really blows. I look back in photos of my youth and my face looks normal, up until about age 25 my face started turning red off and on aaaaaaaand I'm a 31 year old male now myself. At first I thought it was blood related or hereditary or diet. Then I thought it could be from my past of drinking kinda heavy on the weekends in my early and mid 20's and from chewing tobacco for 10 years. And then haha most recently, this past year or so I thought it was stress, anxiety, and adrenal gland related. To tell all you folks the truth I honestly don't know anymore. No main root cause. For myself now, sometimes it's stress, sometimes it's a certain food, if I'm anxious, if my crush or former crush is in the room or talking to me, if I eat spicy foods or anything with vinegar in it (and I use to LOVE spicy things when I was younger), if there's an extreme temperature change usually heat like 80 degs or higher, direct sunlight sometimes but not every time I'm in the sun, sometimes I can turn red just from a thought or like you said from someone else telling me that I look red....that makes me even more red. I'm trying to not dwell on it so much and just accept my new mid-life face crisis ha and just really try and be myself but it is hard. ~~~~~~ And sorry this is so long, but I really wanted others to know the details incase somebody else is dealing with similar issues. WE ARE NOT ALONE MY SISTERS AND BROTHERS! LET'S ALL GO KICK SUM BUTT!
I have red cheeks permanently, not just when I’m stressed or when I’m in the sun. It’s just red 24/7, at first I thought it was Rosacea but I’m not too sure
Sorry to hear that! I am right there with you, and all I can say is keep trying new remedies, and remember that even with a red face you are able to do all the things you want. It can't stop you living your best life! 👊🏻
I was born with my red face always hot, and I suffered greatly from people's questions and looks, but the only solution to that is self-satisfaction and accepting it as it is and looking at the rest of the positive things in ourselves and we will find that we are in great good, let us be convinced that the redness of the face A blessing from God, and among its positive aspects, we are distinguished from others, We also get free heating in the winter, and we are strong with our distinctive red faces. She is really beautiful. Let us reconcile with her and love her.
@@hanban12375 It’s secondary to my Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. It doesn’t effect me nearly as much as I’ve seen in some others though. I think it’s worth looking into if you’re having the symptoms described in this video.
My redness is very patchy and blotchy, starts in my chest and goes up to my neck, and people have freaked out thinking I'm having a severe allergic reaction.
@@dorisw2507 Yes it might just be the way your body naturally reacts. I find that if I follow a healthier diet and reduce alcohol and caffeine I am a lot less red these days. I hope you find your own solutions and some solace along the way. We are here to support each other through this!
I’ve been struggling with this most of my life, now 31 and it’s less frequent but when my face goes red it’s as horrible as it ever was. I tried many SSRIS and recently Propranolol which seems to help slightly. Lab series oil control also keeps the redness down. Good video mate 👍

I turned 18 today lol and here I am. Anyways, I hate coffe and never drink it, i exercise. Im a female. I am so red on my face all the time, and gets worse when Im in the sun, exercise, walking, strssed or anything. Snd I hate it!! Im so extremely pale too, snd then my face is all like red!
As a youngster my face flushed easily when I get embarrassed. As a young adult my face flushed upon consuming alcohol. Through 23andMe I learned I have an ALDH2 deficiency. My body can’t digest alcohol properly and a big side effect is a red face along with a headache and nausea. As I get older I notice a bad diet, especially if I eat too much sugar, affects the redness in my face. More and more I seem to rely on rest and good diet to control it.
That's very interesting! I definitely have a redder face when I drink beer or drink coffee. I think everyone has their own dietary issues that affect how red their face gets. Glad that you are discovering ways to reduce it for yourself :)
Having rosacea as a female has its challenges I must say. Like you, I have received the same types of comments, my go-to reply is “it's just how I'm wired”. That seems to do the trick!
Hi! Saw your comment about coffee - I actually have wondered about that too. For me it comes on worse if I’m stressed or has too much caffeine during the day. Curious if it has to do with blood vessels or hydration. I’ve also had a lot of success with reducing skin reactivity through cutting down on alcohol. I grew up getting bright red from working out and blushing from social situations. I dread the day when someone will comment on my face at work; I struggle most with getting red if the spotlight is on me. I am scared to even get married or give presentations in person because of it, sadly. It helps to hear you encouraging people to just accept it and not be so hard on ourselves. I’ve also felt a little less self-loathing when I tell people it happens to me; it normalizes it a bit more. Some people blush, some sweat or stutter.
What i would do is shave your beard and find any type of moisturizer that smooths the skin and soothes it try to find something that makes your face cold like cool it down or use ice cubes and just try to leave it on for days and not go outside and see if it actually helps

So glad to hear that! Yes it can be a frustrating thing, but keep experimenting with your diet and lifestyle and see how it can be reduced. And remember most of all it cannot stop you from living your best life! Wishing you the best! - DMS
That's my life. Red, red lol when I go to interviews and in and out of warm to cold. When I turn on the heater in my car and when I am nervous

@@midsonshort Thanks a lot! I was getting worried lol
Out of all the videos I’ve seen you’re the only one with an actual red face like mine. Thank you for the advice!
I suddenly started crying at this moment 9:20
Thank you so much for making this video. I was giving my past experience with bullying, trauma and the comments I received every day a free pass to get into my mind and it really drained me, affecting on anything that I do.
I hope for this good spirit that you have installed in me to stay within me forever
Again, thank you so much 🙏🏻💓
*sorry if something i've written doesn't make sense, english is not my mother tongue*
You are so welcome! I am glad that I was able to help you. We are all struggling with this together. Remember you are not alone and that you will find ways to overcome this challenge! 😊🙏🏻
Thanks man, your one of the first people I’ve seen who just address the redness some of us just have.
Glad I could help, and yes it's good to know you're not alone in overcoming this challenge. Wishing you all the best, man!

Been looking for this video my whole life! Every day my whole life! Everyone points it out to me constantly. Co workers are always pointing and giggling at me. Had it all through school. Every social interaction or the thought or social interaction has me flushed red... if i could hide in my house forever i would 😢
Exactly the same

I love this idea! Thank you sharing my friend, and I wish you the very best!
Thank you for making this video.
I'm 41yo and started getting "red face" within the last five years.I have always believed that the redness is through sun damage.
I hate it when people jump to the assumption that the redness is due to having high blood pressure.

How to live with your red face?
Never leave your room. That is what I do
Know that you are not alone, and that despite the redness you can live an awesome life!
kesinlikle öyle dostum:/
It's not easy but you can live with it... knowing that you are not alone hopefully helps you... ❤

I am a naturally red faced mid 50s Celt and for the last year it has got a lot worse and more frequent. Have other symptoms like gut problems and fatigue but after many many tests my doctors can't figure out the cause. I will look into some of the suggestions you made. Thanks mate.

Hey man, this was a pretty cool video. Put me in a much better mood.
I got four laser sessions done. It helped get rid of the redness completely but only for a short time. Great video btw.
Interesting.... are you feeling better after the sessions?
@@midsonshort Not really tbh. Very short term results for a painful laser that burnt like hell. Never doing it again.
Yikes, sorry to hear that! Have you tried any diet changes or other lifestyle changes? Stopping coffee for me had a dramatic affect on my face redness

You got it! Hope it helps you 😊🙏🏻
Yes indeed...knowing you're not alone does kind of make each of us feel better....but a red face triggered off and on at random is pure hell for me too.
Thank you for sharing brother ! A lot of courage ! appreciate the helpful insights

I have the same. Do you take anything for it, and if so has it helped? :)

Appreciate it man🤝
What i would do is shave your beard and find any type of moisturizer that smooths the skin and soothes it try to find something that makes your face cold like cool it down or use ice cubes and just try to leave it on for days and not go outside and see if it actually helps
