Thanks Ryan. A fourth method I have used on construction drawings is to draw a mask object onto a model face, whilst in Parallel Projection view in Sketchup - either free-hand or from a section plane slice. Then save the scene and re-position the (grouped) mask object away from the model. This way there is less change of messing up the position of the mask, it transposes into new layout pages very easily and it can be hidden with tags as needed.
